Divine I notice the same thing when I've lost weight, all the bits my fat use to fill out just looks deflated. Sometimes when I'm smaller I just feel puny and flat. It's hard not to feel satisfied at both ends of the spectrum.

Went to 169.5 today, hoping to stay in the 160s the rest of the round and not bounce back into the 170s. I am hungry today although it's only 9:30. I've been drinking coffee and water, already considering a portion of chicken or shrimp but trying to hold out. This is VLCD3 for me so hopefully the hunger will even itself out.

The family I am working for is being very understanding and we have worked out a reduced hours schedule that will allow me to work up to a full 9 hours as I rebuild my strength after not working for 7 months. This Connective Tissue Disorder sometimes makes it too easy for me to make excuses for myself, but also makes it easy for me to overdo things, and set myself back for weeks. After my first 9 hour shift of mostly holding the special needs infant, I woke up with my arms totally locked in spasms that my muscle relaxers would not break for 2 days. We had to pull my arms straight many times, use heat, massage, etc. (No pain meds or anti-inflammatories, as I can only take those for actual dislocations due to my weird reactions to meds.)

Then we were without power for yet another power company Public Safety Power Shutoff, due to fire danger and a high wind event. We were "in the dark" for more than 3 days, and I subluxed (partially dislocated) a rib somehow while loading the woodstove to keep the house warm. It really hurt to breath for several days, and the inflammation, plus fluid retention from my reaction to anti-inflammatory pills caused a huge gain, but it was finally gone this yesterday and took an extra pound with it. I was happy to see my average loss for the round is back up to .43/day, not including the 8 pounds I gained loading. (That would double my losses, but I refuse to count those "easy come, easy go, between round gains".)

I am very motivated to continue for the full round and am staying mostly OP, with the addition of mushrooms and cauliflower on rare occasions. Tonight was one of those nights. I cooked asparagus and mushrooms with my protein, with a bit of homemade bone broth. Very good, and the family had theirs over rice. Tomorrow we will barbecue chicken over more of our cherry wood branches, for some delicious grilled chicken, hcg style! I have 2 full grills worth, so I will be weighing and freezing MANY cooked portions. I portion them at 75-77 grams each, 8 portions per bag, and take one out about every 4 days. My daughter will take one or two, and I add shrimp now and then, with some 95% lean grass fed beef a couple times per round. I have not had the energy to prep vegetables much this round, so I have mostly been eating cucumbers and romaine/cherry tomato salads. Cabbage when I am up to it. Tomorrow should be a big day, but worth it as I am completely out of prepped chicken, and I am down to just a few weighed portions of raw shrimp.
That sounds so difficult, Roni. Does this protocol help with your connective tissue disorder? Does diet have any effect on it?

Your loss is indeed a good average! Happy for you!

My little guys loves these veggie tots that are steamed broccoli, eggs, breadcrumbs (Iíll use almond flour in p3), cheese, oregano and garlic. He also likes similar with zucchini, carrots and cumin. But doesnít like sweet potato with curry. Weird as he loves sweet potatoes. And heíll eat anything once if you sprinkle a bunch of curry on it.

Iím lost as to what day Iím on. I believe vlcd 27. Iíll figure it out tomorrow. Down 16 pounds. Non-scale victory: down from a size 22 jean to 18. Iím wearing jeans I havenít worn in a couple years. And they arenít tight. Iíve noticed a lot of fat loss throughout my tummy and arms. But not my legs. Boo. My legs never really lost fat last time either. Only when I ran/ biked 6 days a week.
We took family pictures as the snow melted and we were able to see the fall colours. Was a very good day.
Down side.... my arthritis is kicking my butt lately. Realized Iíve missed half a week of meds. Boo. And I looked back and realized Iíve had way more skip days of hcg then I should have because I was too tired and forgot. Ugh mom brain. I have 19? More injections.

Was so nice to catch up on everyoneís posts. My sons been asleep since 4 this afternoon and Iím preparing for a long night. Currently drinking my turmeric drink and sitting in front of the heater patiently waiting for him to wake up screaming because Iím not cuddling him. Haha. Sounds like you are still making progress! Down 2 sizes is awesome! Those tots sound good! I love making egg muffins and have them on hand for snacking P3 on.

Not sure it's wise to go beyond the however many days it's been. I've lost count. But I'm talking to the gal at my doc's office who administers HCG tonight to discuss P3 and beyond, so I'll see what she has to say.

OK, so real talk about my body. I've never achieved or maintained a weight this low in my life. I'm thrilled that my smallest clothes fit, and I'm thrilled at how HCG and P2 have changed my relationship to food and hunger. I don't know how that will change once I'm no longer injecting, though I'm anticipating increased hunger, of course, but also hopeful there has been some kind of reset in terms of my metabolism and leptin and insulin responses. Time will tell.

However, what I'm noticing is my body is still flabby. I'm at the top of my healthy BMI range (which I know we all know is bunk), but I can't tell if I need to lose more fat--mostly from my belly and thighs--or if exercise will continue to help reshape and strengthen my body. Again, I guess time will tell, and another round is always possible. Just wondering what your experiences have been, especially with continuing shifts through P3 and P4.
    Congrats on the weight!

40 injection days max Makes 45 total counting skip days.

I think it is hard to see now body-wise. I'd wait till P3 is over to re-evaluate where you are at. Adding exercise will certainly also add to how your body looks!
I also have read that it gets harder the closer to goal weight so make sure you are mentally ready for it. Increased hunger: Yes, and it is why you need to count 1500 more cals as this is what you are burning in fat right now. I like this reminder to not be afraid of fat in P3.

I kind of had a surprise drop this morning, 1.2 pounds! Not sure how but not complaining!

Next Monday is my LDD already! I am shocked by how fast the time went! I am SO looking forward to P3, a few P3 treats over the holidays, and then another 40 round. I have got this!!
I think no drops days with homeopathic HCG is only two days and not three but need to look into that. I think I just added some fat when I got hungry by the end of day 2 last time, before bed.

YAY YOU!! And thank you for your good advice throughout the process. Because of you I quit green beans! I'm definitely in a good head space about increasing calories, too. But thanks for the reminder to not be afraid of fat. Oh how I love and look forward to eating fat again. And putting oils on my body, too.

So, I just got off the phone consult with the doc's office and she's delighted with my progress. Apparently I've done better than most patients there in that I've lost better in the second half of P2. Anyway, we talked about it, and I'm planning to do another round in January. If things change I can always cancel, but it's clear to me in looking at my body that I have more fat to lose--especially that stubborn belly fat. It almost looks more pronounced now because there's less everywhere else, lol! And I just love what HCG has already done for me; I don't want to feel like I should lose in P3; and I'm curious to see how my body continues to change. This is such exciting stuff for me. A dream come true, really. As long as I successfully keep it off. That's the most crucial part of all. . . .

Wednesday will be my last injection, Thursday and Friday VLCD, and I'll begin P3 on Saturday. Which means I'll be in the last/third week of P3 for both my birthday and Thanksgiving. But it's all good. My boyfriend may or may not be able to visit that week, and he knows about my food restrictions. Though he makes fun of me for my
'healthy eating", I know he admires me for it--and may even be a little inspired by it. And I think he'll be pleasantly surprised to see how my body has changed as well.

Good morning. VLCD4 today and I woke up starving. Yesterday I had a good 5 servings of protein instead of two because I was so dang hungry. Still down 1.5 lbs today which is nice. I meant to go back and read my journal from last round to see if I was this hungry at the beginning. My dose is going to be a lot harder to adjust this round as I could only fit 3mL of fluid into the vial to reconstitute it. From what I read on hcg chica hunger in the first few days probably doesn't require adjusting if you loaded up on carbs and are coming off them. So we will see. Anyone else super hungry the first few days?

Yep. I was super hungry for the first week or so. It was quite an adjustment. But I think as the HCG built up in my body over time, the hunger subsided significantly. Hang in there!
