My meals are pretty plain with no fancy combos.... but I will look into some ideas during P3 and 4 so we can have some new recipes for you in the new year

Isn't it wonderful? So happy for you, that you're back to feeling more like yourself, and back to what works for you!

I'm still on the fence about keto but very much on board with intermittent fasting. I think I need to find the carb sweet spot for my underactive thyroid. More experimentation, I guess.

What I do know is sugar, dairy, and flours are seriously bad news for me and I would do best to simply cut them out of my life for good. What I also know is I love legumes and starchier veggies like winter squash and I tend to feel good eating them, especially in the winter months. So, when I'm ready, long after stabilization, I'll see what's what and how much of them I can/should/want to eat. So curious how HCG has affected my appetite and insulin response post P2. How I do in P3 and P4 will largely determine whether or not I do another round in January.

Weight is up today, but it's definitely an issue of having not had a BM yet today, so I have no fear.

I am ready to move!! Just waiting for the movers to arrive. Trying not to dread the unpacking process and just focus on the here and now. I hope I packed things well and that I can find what I need to find.

Funny story: the last time I moved was truly traumatic. I had been evicted because there was a new property owner who wanted to move into my apartment, which I loved and had lived in for 13 years. The new place had a slum lord who wasn't doing what he said he was going to do to prepare the space, so my move kept getting pushed back and I didn't know which way was up. Then, my father committed suicide two days after my move. And I couldn't find the box with my coffee in it. So, this time, I've been extra careful to not pack all my stuff for making coffee until the morning of the move so I don't have to be stranded without my morning comfort at any point, so I can move my electric kettle and coffee grinder and beans and pour over bodum and filters and . . . this morning I awoke to discover I couldn't find my permanent filter without which I cannot make coffee. I must have inadvertently thrown it away yesterday with the used grinds!! AHHHHHHHHHHH HAHAHAHAHA!!

I can't help but laugh at myself and my best laid plans. The universe wanted to remind me of how far I've come since my last move in August 2019, and yet how I am still in the same place in many ways. I'm ending my time in this apartment the way I began--without coffee--and yet I am a different person and in a different place on the inside.

I still had to drive to my local coffee shop to get my fix this morning when I realized green tea just wasn't going to cut it for such a big, stressful day. And you know what? It's fine. And I ordered a new replacement filter that will arrive tomorrow at the new house.

I think that is wise to have carbs with thyroid issues from what I have read. I mostly love yams and those are hard to skip for me. I allow a little once in a while

Wow, such tragedy in your life, DivineMissM. I love this "The universe wanted to remind me of how far I've come since my last move in August 2019, and yet how I am still in the same place in many ways." Ain't that the truth!
    Thank you for sharing.

I survived the move and woke up this morning in my new house!! The painter comes shortly to finish up work on the living room and kitchen--and maybe start on the master bedroom. I'd like to get that done before I order a new king size bed. It will be such a dream to create a beautiful and luxurious bedroom. Though I must say everything is costing more than I anticipated and I'm a bit nervous about how I'll cover it all. Oh well. I'll do my best to budget and pace myself as well as trust that the universe will provide. It always does.

In fairness my scale is in a completely new location and could be calibrated slightly different, but after a giant BM that certainly made up for yesterday's lack thereof (sorry, tmi, but it's what we do!), my weight is down to 145.6, which is 2.4 down from yesterday. So funny how my body does that: creates a gain then a loss. Glad to have the information so I can stop freaking out about it as I continue to weigh daily.

Completely forgot to eat my fruits yesterday, and have no idea what or how I'll be eating today as I haven't and cannot unpack the kitchen until the painters are done in there. Not to worry, though. I did take out my last single portion of chili I made at the beginning of P2 and I can always quickly thaw some precooked shrimp and nosh on cucumbers and salad greens as well as green apples. I'll make it work.

Happy Saturday and cheers to a candy-free Halloween!

Thank you, mrsstrong. I so appreciate it.

Oops, I think I posted my daily update in someone else's (Yvonne's?) daily log. Sorry!!

The long and short of it is I'm happy in my new house and my weight is at a new all-time low of 145.6 with a few more injection days to go. So very happy with this, and so motivated to keep going and make P3 as smooth a transition as possible.

I moved you post to this thread for you DivineMissM. It is above your reply because when you merge a post it inserts chronologically.

    Yay!
