    Oh thanks Rose. I didn't know they didn't allow that. I was looking into ihcginjections, didn't know that they wouldn't let us talk about overseas especially with the recent hcg. I see that a lot of the people who have switched out their nu image promotion to the waytless but it just seems fishy since there's no experience with it...

    Probably sounds seriously weird... But I realised two very important things about the HCG protocol
    P2 - Trust the Process - this is the easy part
    P3 - even more important than P2.... P3 is where the magic happens... this is where it is hard because we have more choices
    This totally makes sense to me, because it's the all or nothing mentality that rules my life. I've come to accept it, though. There are moderators and there are abstainers; I'm definitely an abstainer. It's why P2 has not been a problem at all for me in terms of sticking to protocol and remaining 100% compliant. I can totally see how if I gave myself an inch and started to tweak and play with protocol, adding this, and changing that, seeing what I could "get away with," it would open the floodgates, if not in P2 then in P3.

    Would love to hear from you veterans what worked and what didn't in P3. So far what I've gathered from the literature from my doc as well as my internet research is:
    *increasing protein and a little fat but staying pretty low carb is important
    *gradually increasing calories can be helpful
    *8 weeks for P3

    And personally, I'm staying away from dairy because I have a casein allergy and it just doesn't do me right. But I am a little anxious and curious about how I'll do with greatly increased choices. I imagine more social activities will also provide some temptations (including my birthday and Thanksgiving 5-6 weeks in!). I really want this to be a major lifestyle overhaul and not a yo-yo situation. I've worked too hard and invested too much. So I genuinely thank you for your wisdom and experience in having done this before!

    p.s. do folks continue to lose on P3 or is weight stabilization really crucial?

    Hi Devine Miss M....
    Point 1)
    If I am correct P3 is 3 weeks
    followed by P$ for a minimum of 3 weeks

    That should mean your birthday falls in a time when you do have a bit more freedom, but You have to introduce it gradually - basically your Forever routine

    Point 2)
    I speak under correcting - it has been a while,
    But the crucial part of P3 which is almost the core of the whole protocol is to
    - NOT try to lose more weight
    - keep weight within 2 Lbs up or down for that whole phase 3 and 4 period
    - successfully done your last LIW will get "locked in" to ready you to go forward and add new things and see how you react to it....

    Thanks so much, YvonneSA! This helps a lot.

    My doc recommends stabilization/P3 for 8 weeks and it's strict no sugar, no dairy, no grains, no alcohol. I like the idea of an extended period for that, but I also like the idea of making sure my weight doesn't go up or down for three weeks and then actively trying to lose more if possible.

    I'm just not 100% sure what a healthy, happy weight is for me. My goal is 155 for this round, and my skinniest adult weight that was very hard to maintain was 147--but I liked it! And I'm 5'4" with muscular build, so at that I'm swimming in size 6s but by no means underweight whatsoever.

    So I'm really curious about how HCG will work for me and if it will make it more or less challenging to work with a lower set point weight. Frankly, without dieting and just living my life without going off the rails, my weight tends to settle around 162-163, but that's me pretty thick but not unhealthy. Overweight according to BMI but not obese. And I'd really like to have a healthier, lower, stable weight.

    Anyway, I'm rambling now, but very much appreciate your hearing me out and responding!

    re P3 And P4 Fir me to get up to speed with CORRECT rules will mean a bit of homework.... In essence what I said I believe to be true... but Leez Coco and also Rose and a few others can set your mind at ease...

    your goal for this round is dependent on many factors....
    your age
    How long since you gained this weight
    How achievable is this goal?
    Is your gosl realistic
    I set myself insane goals but i am kind to myself if i dont reach them... i do it to push myself as hard as i can... I had a teacher in High school I absolutely looked up to.... and it is a value I have carried with me all my years.... Before exams he always remembered to reach for the stars.... and we might be lucky if we hut the lamp post.... And he went on to say... if we only aim for the lamp post... chances are we will never reach our goals
    Take hour goal in bite size chunks.... and most importantly... be kind to yourself always

    That makes sense, YvonneSA! It is probably why I have always stuck to protocol (minus the cocoa powder I guess but I remember that it was approved as spice so that is how I use it, on my strawberries )
    I think P3 *and* P4 are also so important! HCG has always struck a chord that it is about maintenance more than loss. The only reason I am here again is really because I let myself go. Until then I was fine. Lost 90 pounds starting in 2010 I think? Maybe it was later. It's blurry. Took 3 40 day rounds and some keto. The letting go does indeed look like what you describe: The cheating with baked goods was the cause. Once I cheated a few times it was so hard to stop.

    Same here... I guess I got to a point last year where I thought sod - it... at my age I am done with dieting and slowly but surely gained... with an extra bit over Christmas.... which I am always very good for taking care of it start January.... but Covid was looming and I did weigh in in February and when I weighed in a bit more than 2 weeks ago I almost got a heart attack! I guess during 2019 I kind of felt ok under 176lbs (80kgs) but when I saw my covid gain of 24 lbs I was disgusted with myself!

    I started 2010 weighing in at a whopping 240 lbs.... most of what I have lost was through HCG, but as I said this time No off-protocol...and P3 and P4 I will take serious! and I will check in... I think when we stop being accountable is when the gains start

    I am also happy to see that the "Rogue" element is no longer active on the boards.... with so many people suggestion rogue ways of eating and doing planned interruptions, it was easy to be convinced there is an easy way....

    I do believe that eating off protocol during P2 can be called anything and be excused but it is still cheating... and as such your brain is in that mindset that it is OK to cheat....All my friends who wants to do HGC...I send them a little booklet I created and tell them.... if they can not see themself sticking to the protocol to go find something else, because if you do not stay on protocol..This "Diet" is unforgiving!!

    One such a friend at the moment has a huge problem with not being able to drink wine....and I have learned from past experience that there is no such a thing as just ONE glass of wine..... so yes, part of my COVID weigh is as a result of wine.... they banned the sale of alcohol, so we drank and purchased bootleg like petulant kids...a great contributor to my 11kgs gained....

    I sit with a winerack 40 plus full of wines and more .. during lockdown I played around with infusing vodkas and Gins and still untouched.... at first I started packing it away to be out of sight and I realised this is a fact of life.... so now It is there but I know I cannot touch! and I must say that is my greatest triumph during this round... not to be enticed to have wine or any other alcohol...and this will see me through p3 AND p4 to make sure that when I reintroduce to be mindful and conservative
