Thanks Leez, I thought there might be some issue with changing at this point in game. After I ate, three hours later, no unusual hunger. thank goodness. It may have just been I was out there shoveling soil and hadn't eaten since dinner last night, about 6:30. I was really hungry, almost sick hungry. Hasn't happened to me on hcg before. Fine now, though. Have a good day!

Well...I was super bad last night. I was really good up until they brought 2 huge dessert samplers...what was supposed to be a small taste turned into a total disaster...I won’t go into anymore details. It’s depressing. I didn’t weigh this morning. I had a good workout this morning and have been fasting today to clear my body of all the sugar.

Dubbs- I usually drink vodka/soda with lemon and a stevia based sweetener or tequila with limes, water and stevia, or like Tracy mentioned, Tequila with grapefruit, I usually use a grapefruit flavored no sugar soda and sweetener. Another favorite is a no sugar mojito. There are also a few flavored vodkas that have no sundar that you can get creative with. I used to be a bartender as well so I can get pretty creative with the adult beverages.

jgd, don't beat yourself up about it. Life happens, to the best of us. Hope you enjoyed. If I am going to go off , I sure hope I enjoyed it. Let us know how it goes later. I actually blogged your post about adult beverage, some of those sound pretty enticing. Hang in there, it will be ok as long as you get back to plan!

Hello fellow HCG'ers! I am having a bit of really bad dry skin right now. Anyone ever experience this during HCG? I don't ever remember my skin being so dry and today it is starting to itch and spots on my face are starting to peel a little. I looked up if not eating fats/oils can affect your skin and it sure can. I have been slathering myself, specially my face with lotions but my skin is dry, itchy and peeling!! Ugh! I am seriously considering having todays dose be my final dose and head on in to P3 starting Saturday. That will just be one day short then what I had planned. I wll see how I feel in the am but I really don't want to have messed up skin for my son's wedding! Any advice? Has this happened to anyone before?

    Thanks gals!

Phoebes, I have super dry skin, especially my face, as well. I use CeraVe mixed with a squirt of squalane all over my everythings. I also take biotin. I think the squalane is the deal maker for me.

I did not get to weigh first thing this morning. The cats brought a cicada into the house to play with and then murder. It was a noisy little guy! So getting the victim back outside was first order and then had coffee, then weighed. A couple ounces above my window so doing the math, ldw plus noisy bug subtract two murders cats and divide by coffee and wishful thinking equals not gonna worry about it.

Oh and I had carrots yesterday with butter! What A treat. It's funny how this protocol has made me excited about normal food.

Thursday a.m. here--Tracy, I'm up early with you. Phoebe, I'm like you and Tracy, really dry skin, especially after being outside, working in sun. These last 14 days of round I have not given up my lotions--off protocol I know, but I just felt I had to have theml Mayve have made my losses so slow. But I can't stand the itchiness or look of dry skin. Phoebe, you ever used RetinA products? wow, they can make me look like a lizard shedding skin But I use the very smallest concentration of Retin A i Can get. But in answer to question, yes I do get dry skin on hcg so I then start piling on the lotion. sorry, Dr S. Hope you get under control. I'm sure you'll look gorgeous for wedding. And Tracy, if you weighed after your coffee , I'd put money on it that you are actually under your window. So, yes, don't worry about it It IS wonderful to eat normal food and love it so much!

AFM: i am doing last dose day today Had a terrible weighin this morning, and I swear I did nothing different, did not eat off protocol, and was up 1.8 lbs--the exact amount it showed on scales I lost at yesterday's weigh in. Tuesday night I did a detox bath and maybe that caused a false drop on Wednesday's weigh in. Who the #### knows, but it sure is making me feel grumpy today. So, I'm done with it--last dose day today, and 72hr transition begins after my injection this morning Maybe the jump is a good thing, might allow me to drop back down again and give me a little wiggle room for P3 window, which I did not get AT ALL on my last dose weight. Hoping everyone else has better morning! And hoping rest of my day isn't as lousy as my weighin.

Good morning, have a busy day today, up a little earlier then normal so weighed slightly earlier but I'm up .1#. Did everything the same except slathering on the lotion. I am going to stick with the plan and keep today my last dose day and move in to p3 on Sunday. It will either be a solid p3 or possibly a PI depending on how the scale behaves!

Dubbs I hear your frustration and I am in the same boat. I always try and picture my fat cells filling up with water only to have them flush all that fat outta there eventually with a decent loss day. Hoping that will happen in the next few days for the both of us.

Tracy your morning sounds like a fun way to wake up! Lol! I wouldn't worry about the weigh in...sounds like you are being mindful with what you eat!

Lovely Losers 2021- MAKING IT in May!

    Good morning, you early birds!

I worked hard yesterday to get a proper amount of food into me. I was able to get almost 1200 cals in by 5 pm. I went out for a happy hour / dinner at a new-ish restaurant with a woman’s group. I looked at the menu before I left and had my food and bev both picked out.

For a drink, I had a Skinny Paloma. That’s a lie. I had two. A real one uses grapefruit juice but there are several skinny mixes available that are 1 to 5 carbs/ sugars. I’d like to know which one they use cuz it was awesome.

Ordered a big hamburger with roasted vegetables. Ha! I had them hold the spicy aioli , but when the burger came, the cheese was so thin it was transparent, I never did find the avocado and the roasted veggies were not even warm, let alone cooked. More like room-temp crudités.

So, I did not get much to eat there! I counted the cheese as an ounce and tracked the avocado as 2 slices even tho they were invisible—had a protein drink when I got home and got 1600 cals by the skin of my teeth.

I kept most of yesterday’s loss, just up .4. So only .2 over LDW. Whew.

I’m having one slice of bacon today to see if it was what set me off. That’s also a lie. I’m having it to prove it is NOT what set me off!

Your lotions are not slowing you down any. In Dr. S’s day, lotions often had a lard base, or olive oil or other edible base. Nowadays, tho “natural” ones may have avocado or coconut oil, they’re so refined, it’s not going to your digestive system. Slather away! If you are still worried, use a petroleum jelly

    Onward!

Real quick, sorry about the panic attack yesterday. I have been using lotion everyday mainly on my arm/hands and face. I use a product called Go Pure and I've been using it for close to a year now, just have never experienced this type of peeling and dryness on my face. I will be in P3 on Sunday and start eating fats/oils again so I took a deep breathe last night while trying to sleep and I'm not gonna stress about it!! Thank you all for the lotion advice and feedback! I appreciate y'all more then I can say!!

    Have a great day!

Dubbs- you had a couple of really big losses this week so don’t be discouraged about the 1.8 bounce back. Better it happen now than in P3 in which you would immediately be at the top of your window.

Pearly, I love a good Paloma. Let us know if you find out what type of mix they use. I think you should definitely ask them

I had a great weigh in today. The fast yesterday took care of the Tuesday night dessert disaster. I’m now sitting 3 lbs below LDW. I fully expect a couple of pounds or so bounce back after resuming Normal eating today but I’ll still be in a good place.

    Have a great day ladies!

PearlyMae, So I'm thinking the restaurant doesn't get 4 stars from you? I think the more I eat home made food/meals, the pickier I get with restaurant food. Like the lackluster meal we had last weekend out with friends. Thanks for idea about skinny Paloma, I'm saving all these adult beverage ideas! Glad you are eating more and keeping well within your window Yay the protocol works!

JGD, 3 lbs below LDW, I would say you did have a greqt weigh in today! That'ws great! Be posiitive and hopefully there won't be a big bounce back tomorrow.I agree about my jump, hopefully it will drop in the next couple of days and I will have a little wiggle room going into P3. Either way, it is what it is. One thing I decided is I will come back probably around August 15, or so, to do one more short round before football/tailgate season begins. That means P3 and P4 of 11 weeks before another p2. Hopefully that is ok with stablization. I just didn't get down to my goal weight. I might be happy with 160, but edging toward 165 is not low enough for me--leaves several lbs to be lost. I'd just like to lose another 10 lbs, so lowering goal weight to 52-55. But that is a long time from now. Take it one day at a time. Time now to enjoy the summer and stablize on P3 for 6 weeks, Then hopefully 3/4 weeks on p4. Hope everyone else is doing ok. Going to pool for a couple hours, only time I sit and read a book!

Didn't get a chance to read up on everyone yet and I am not sure I will this weekend.

I was 165.4 this morning so down a little. Normal stuff. Tonight I had Thai for dinner and it was way too sweet so we'll see what the scale does tomorrow. I used to order a delicious salmon in banana leaf but it has coconut in it. I think that gain would have been more than the sugar but we'll see. Fingers crossed.
There are going to be a couple of lunches and dinners out this weekend. I typically stick to a burger without bun, steak, or salmon and salad just fine so I hope this will be the case now as well.

Well, hope everyone is doing OK! Gains or losses, we are where we are.
