Thread: Lovely Losers 2021- MAKING IT in May!

Happy Saturday all.... Tracy, thanks for the chuckles!! haha...you crack me up! Let us know how the eye candy was and glad you have a little wiggle room!! I was down .8 today...whoop, whoop.. finally hit the 10# mark, 10.7 to be exact! Thank goodenss... I am honestly so afraid to step on that scale every morning! This weekend and the next 3 days is going to be a HUGE challenge for me. My sister n law and her family are coming down from WA in their RV to visit us and my other brother and sister n law. She loves to drink and I am sure the food will be o'plenty. They are staying at my sister n laws house, I am pretty sure because I told her I wasn't drinking because trying to fit in the dress...so I think she will respect that but I need to hold steady!! I can't wait to see my 2 nieces and nefew though!! AND..... I will know what puppy will be our furever baby on Monday evening so I am super excited for that!! We were the last one to put the deposit down for a female in the litter so we get last pick... which to me just fine! How do you possible pick a puppy when you have 5 sitting there...nope... this is going to be so much bettter and hopefully she will heal the hole in my daughters' and my heart!!

Oh Saturday! My favorite. Usually my nephew stays for a sleepover on Friday nights and then helps with chores on Saturday mornings. I love that, and it lets my sisters’ family sleep in as he’s a 6:00 AM riser. But he asked if he could come Saturday night this week, so it was auntie P. Who got to sleep in!

I was still up only a half an hour later than usual, so I think my weigh in is accurate.

How shall I put this?

GOAL!!!!

Actually my scale said 129.8 and I was 130.6 Yesterday, but TESS said I was down .6. That darn rounding Up thing. But I saw the number! Can’t fool me!

I’m still hanging in there today and tomorrow, And transition days. I don’t expect to lose more or want to particularly, although having 130 as the TOP of my window... No,Let’s not get crazy.

I actually thought I really blew it yesterday. I did fine at IHOP, they didn’t even have cottage cheese, so I had 2 over easy eggs, four slices of tomato that you could see through and a small hamburger patty. It was actually really good!

But about 11 AM before I left, I thought maybe I should armor myself in case someone said “do you want these pancakes?” So I found a very small yogurt in the back of the fridge that advertised only two carbs. I forgot to read the rest of the label. It said keto friendly, and while it was low carb it was 200 cal and 1700 g of fat. No I said that wrong it was 17 g of fat. Just seemed like 1700 when I was reading it!

So with myEggs and hamburger patty I had all my calories and then some for the day. By 2 PM.

And of course I had to have some thing for dinner although I made myself wait until after 7:30 PM. I was over 100 cal over for the day in my protein. But I only had 16 carbsOut of 30, so maybe that helped. 33 out of 30 g of fat total so. that had me worried. I will beSuper vigilant today and hope I don’t get blow back tomorrow.

But I’m so pumped. Tracy I dug out my Boom Chicka Chicka Undies that I haven’t worn in over a year. Only I know that on the outside I’m a 68 year old little old lady but underneath— hey there at the very least. LOL.

Onward everybody. If Pearly Mae can do it, so can you!!

PS. Little Penny is not doing so great. Antibiotics helped for the first two days, but she’s slept most of the week, and isn’t eating. She accepted a few little pieces of roast beef that had medicine in the middle, but I found it urped up later in the day, so I had to give her medicine over again ground up to powder and dissolved in water with an eyedropper. I put out some yogurt thinking she might lick some of that and it would feel good on her throat, but she hasn’t touched it. I sort of expected to find my other dog with a sticky beard, but she hasn’t touched it either so maybe it’s just the yogurt. We have an appointment first thing Monday morning, and maybe they can give her a shot of something that will put her back on her little feet.
Maybe. She Is my little athlete so it is hard to see her listless and sleep all day.

P3 Day 4

Tracy, I took my 14yo in two days ago and can attest to the eye candy! Hope your vax goes well and you are not too sick after.

Phoebe, hope the weekend goes well. Yay on the loss! Hope the puppy just adores you right away!

Polly, I am so sorry Penny is not doing well again. So hard. GOAL though! How awesome is that!! Congratulations!

AFM, down to 165.6. Weird scale. This is 0.2 below my 2nd NDD. Weird but I'll take it. Come to think of it, I did weigh with my workout shoes on yesterday. Even though they are barefoot shoes, they do weigh something. Chicks are doing great and survived the night. These were from a local place so no shipping from across the country and I expected them to live.

Gotta get the yad work in before the rain next week! Have a good weekend!

My plan is to stick what has worked for me for years: keto. I have a little fruit during the summer but not much, and nothing during winter unless an orange is calling out to me.

I will keep everyone updated when I do the short round next month. I’m not looking at it at all like a “normal” round. I’m at goal weight wise. My idea of doing the short round is I will do it immediately after our vacation, in fact, I will take pellets and load last 2 days of vacation, so my very short P2 will start immediately upon return. I always gain a couple pounds or so while on vacation. My idea is to immediately get those gains off before they have time to “stick”. It will also help to quickly “reset” my eating habits as I also tend to have a hard time getting back on track after enjoying myself on vacation. This is my thinking anyway. I’m totally making all this up so no idea if it will work or not. This is not something I think I would try if not at goal. If this works I see it as being a great tool to use when needed and hopefully to prevent having to do a longer round later on.

I bet the .2 is gone tomorrow!
Keep us posted on your experiment. The only thing I can think of is that you could run into a lack of stabilizing which would be a drag since you are at goal. Maybe this time you won't gain too much and a few days on P3 or so could bring you back down. Just my penny's worthof thought!

Pearly, I'm adding a boom chicka chicka level! And I'm so sorry to hear your update on Penny. Our pets bring us so much joy and give us back the same.

I'm 72 hours DONE today. HcG leaves my body pretty quickly and the last 12 hours awake are brutal for me. I obsessed over what I could nosh on last night that wouldn't do too much damage and finally just forced myself to bed with sleepy tea. Woke up to another .5 down, 1lb under LDW. And proud of myself for not cracking. This was my best behaved round ever but with the poorest losses. My average daily loss was .38 per day. Ack!

No ill effects from vax #2. Just super sleepy right after. Looking forward to a quiet day today and meal prep.


I was convinced I'd wake up starving but I feel fine. Kitchen is stocked, hid the grissini haul behind the instapot and I'm ready for the next phase. This is when I don't eat enough so I'm mindful of that now. Not eating has caused me to gain in the past on P3 and P4. The creep.

165.6 again today. Chicks are doing great and we took them outside to eat some bugs. Coop still in progress but we have time before they can go in there anyway. No rush. Almost done with the yard cleaning. It looks gorgeous. Spring gardens are so lush!

I think I found my groove eating-wise. Each meal is satisfying. I am not counting or calculating so that is a huge improvement. Today I think I will add a slice of keto bread and see if I tolerate it. I did order some more granola to see if I can tolerate that. It was so delicious in my morning yogurt.

As for me, down .3 today for an even 11#'s. I did not cave to alcohol yesterday, today they are all coming over to our house to swim in the pool and have a bbq... I can control what I have much easier at my own house so crossing my fingers!! Plus both of my sister n law were super supportive. My visiting sister n law told me that the problem with having one drink is that your inhabitions fly out the window and you may find yourself having another then eating off plan..

Well time for coffee and headed to the grocery store shorty.

Traci, I’m 72 hours behind you. Will hit P3 on Wednesday a.m. Boy am I looking forward to it!

Today is last dose weight day! I’m at 130.2. I could kick Tess. She’s mean. Friday I was at 131.6. Yesterday the scale stopped at 129.8, and then popped to 130 even. Then TESS told me I had lost 1.6. So 130 great. Today she showed me yesterday’s weight is 129.8 and that I gained .4. Come on! She can’t have a both ways, can she??? I wish I could afford a doctor scale that wouldn’t talk to me.

Still it looks like going back to P2 after a three week PI was well worth it. I did 13 days and two days load, and I’m down 8.2. That’s as good as the original part of the round.

I sure bounced around during the last parts of the P3, and even hit in the 133‘s, and then went right back up, but it didn’t seem like I was any thinner. I think I was losing fat but not abnormal fat because I felt like my arms were getting scrawny and my middle were staying the same. Then with the second half of my P2 with hCG in my system, I really CaAN tell a difference.

I’m wearing size 4 jeans. They admittedly are gloria Vanderbilt’s which are a vanity size and are larger than they appear, but I’m planning on wearing them inside out so everyone can see the tag.

Total loss Mid January to Mid May: 24 pounds.

Now I am going to do a letter perfect transition and an A+ job on P3. And see if I can stay right here.

You are not getting rid of me yet as I need a place to be accountable and I want to see how all of you are doing.

PS penny is having a better day today. I accidentally gave her a full tablet of prednisone instead of a half. I powdered it and sprinkled it on her tongue like a pixie stick. She has perked up and has been eating. I think it was more of a Godwink than an accident. Appointment tomorrow at the vet. Thanks everyone for thinking of her.
