Pearly: I never heard about your job situation. Can you re-tell me about that? How are you doing and are you happy at work now?

    Tracy: Awsome about the re-shaping!

Mrs Strong: I love the Fun Fat anything giggle

Kaybee Thank you for your good thoughts. Congrats on P4!

    Starbucks an early happy birthday!

Dubbles maybe take a minute and visualize your goals. Talk to yoursef kindly about what you want? That helps me when I come back from a PI. I have to give myself what my kids call the "Motivational Close" (from when I led sales mettings).

HI Justbe! Welcome to this great group!

Phoebe: Life transitions are hard right? I always think with kids, if we do our job right we work our way out of the heavy lifting of the job...still it is hard. Also, post college my kids moved home while they were saving up for their first condos. Rent free but they did all the cleaning, (I miss that) cooked 2 family meals a week. Your puppy is so darling.
Regarding PI: here is what I think about:
    1. make sure you have had 23 effective doses before the PI. Otherwise PIs are a challenge and people have had heaps of trouble.
    2. Try to practice maintenance/p3 eating most of the time. If I have fun foods for one meal, that's ok, I just try not to make it a whole day/weekend thing. I break up the cheats with some P3 lower calorie items.
    3. Be prepared to give yourself a motivational talk etc when you re-start.
    4. I have found PIs to be very helpful. There is always some trip etc that comes up. I also have found the first week back can be like P2 week 1 again. BUT the motivational talk is key for me.
    Hope that helps.

AFM: Back is 50% better. Mom is so happy to be back at her home. I am going to rest more today and not overdo it. I am really Enjoying having the family cook and clean instead of me. My round is going good despite the Naprosyn, Tylenol and Motrin. I am close to goal but sometimes it takes a bit so I am hopeful of finishing P2 next week. Yes! It was SO MUCH easier when we were stuck at home and could better control the temptations!

Have a wonderful Day! Please excuse any typos.
    RK
So happy to hear that your mom and you are both doing better! A few years ago my mom broke her ankle and after several rehab facilities and then eventually home health coming to her house, she was so happy when she could be left alone and fend for herself!! Glad your mom is happy to be home!!

Also...question about PI: Do you officially count the PI start date after the 72 hours (without injections)? So if I stop taking hcg on the 1st-3rd of the month, (staying on the 500 cal at that time), the 4th day would technically be day #1 of the PI?

Thanks for your help and all of the info!!

Starbucks ~ I felt like I was stuck at the 175 point for days too!! I try and tell myself that is when my fat cells are filling up with water and soon they will release it all for a good day on the scale!! Hang in there, I am sure you will see the scale move soon!! What is your goal weight? Could it be that you are getting close to it? I remember the pic you attached, you looked amazing, and fit!! The PI sounds like a good idea for you definatly to celebrate your birthday!! And like you said, it may just jump start your weight loss again!!

Thank you. I am close to goal but still have a bit of flab and for my height I could go lower. I think the PI will be good but if not Iím still close to where I want to be and just need to adopt stricter eating habits and give up if I have an off day. Itís a stupid mind set!!

Have to try and upload pictures of my 2 babies. Look at and tell me Ozzy doesn't remind you of Winston Churchill! She is the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, but he is the Boston Terrorist. She is so good with him, they play and she lets him annoy the **** out of her, she is such a sweetheart

Sorry, Sophie is sideways--can't seem to change it. And this wasn't the picture I thought I was attaching but I am terrible at this, and I finally went with what I pulled up!

Oh my goodness!! Sooooo CUTE!! I can completely see the resemblance! Such cute pups!! My dog's name is Einstein... I will try and see if I can post a picture of him at some point when I have a bit more time. My daughter likes the name Ivy for our new puppy and I told her that if we call her Ivy... I will have to nickname her "Ivy League", then we will have an Einstein and and Ivy League. Ha!

Yay on losing all the load weight, Dubbles! I know the feeling, having needed to lose the gained weight from my PI! Then I was surprised the losses kept coming! I hope the same will happen for you!

Polly, I thought peanut butter was a P4 food because peanuts are a legume? Enjoy your P3! It is always so exciting.

So hard, Phoebe. Thank God for FaceTime these days. So exciting about the dress almost fitting! And yes, that is my understanding about the PI and what I did.

Hey Karbee! Good luck on P4! Sounds like P3 went really well. If you have continuously been at 2 pounds over LIW, it may help to adjust it higher so you have more wiggle room. Many people stabilize a little higher.

    Happy early BD, Charlie! Enjoy!

Rkthin, so good to hear your back is so much better! And close to goal must feel so good considering all that is going on! I am glad your mom is feeling better too.

As for animal names, we named our chicks Hyacinth, Violet, and Gertrude.

I had some Outer Aisle today and I have been burping it the rest of the afternoon with some nausea. Maybe a coincidence but it just did not seem to sit well. I don’t remember that from my PI when I had it. It may have caused weight gain without me knowing it since I couldn’t weigh. I guess we’ll see in the morning. I am also just really tired.

Dubbles, I am like you, crunching those numbers as I get close to the finish line. I could have gone an extra 6 days but didn't due to slower losses this round and wanted to finish during a stall. Do what works for you!

Same weight as yesterday and grateful. I had two eggs\cheese for brekky, an orange, taco salad for lunch, nuts and diced parmesan cheese with olives for a snack, then pork chop and chicken wrap for supper. I need to plug in more veggies. But that means grocery shopping and y'all know how I feel about that.

I'm going to try the fun fage with whipped cream cheese and cocoa powder tonight. Hoping that will keep me out of the peanut butter jar. It is a legume, you all are correct and I need to just stop. Pray for me.

You look FABULOUS Charlie. But you know exactly where you'd like to be. I definitely understand a planned interruption during your birthday. I actually had a couple of small pieces of birthday cakes during both of my PIs, just didn't go crazy and eat an entire half a cake. Don't think that is exaggeration, when not eating mindfully, I can do that! Yes, it is a mindset! Have a good day!

Lovely Losers 2021- MAKING IT in May!

    Pretty, pretty Purr Babies!

Tracy, step away from the PB! I will if you will! It is not your fault I ate the last 2 inches out of a jar, but you did kinda remind me it was there! LOL. Mrs. Strong, You are absolutely right. PB is not on P3 and itís actually not on P4. Itís on P nothing! I had a bad day. Bad Pearlie. Sit.

The only reason I even had it in the house was I made cookies for the dogs that were supposed to be soft. Turns out myDogs are not that fond of peanut butter cookies. Since they also have pumpkin and carrotóNo sweetener, no chocolate chips nothingó I have to admitThey are not very good.

It is too soon yet to add almond butter!

Day 1 P3,I added an avocado to breakfast, a tsp of mayo to tuna salad, had chicken thigh and leg instead of breast, with a couple spoons full of green chile sour cream chip dip as a dip for the chicken. So, basically ó added dairy.

I had blackberries for dessert, but I have had berries a time or two in P2 and often in PI. I wait 2 hours after and before eating anything fat to eat fruit, like Suzanne Somers recommended. I include them in my carb count.

Not enough calories yet. Still figuring this all out. I was on P3 eating two weeks ago, but after being on P2 again, Iíve lost track on how to do this! But I was inching up during Transition days and am back down to a reasonable .8 over LDW.

I am still jobhunting, by the way. I have had a contract to do some newsletters for two livestock associations for years. Itís on the side, and Iíve done it when I had full-time jobs and when I was in between. It certainly helps but itís just a little extra, not a living! Iíve gone eight years without missing a deadline, but sure missed it on Tuesday. Doesnít count because it wasnít my fault!

So enjoying all the Furr and Purr pics!

    Hang in!!

Good morning lovely ladies! Happy Thursday!

P-know there was a discussion on pnut butter on protocol or not during P3. I found Jiff Sugar Free pnut butter to be a lifesaver for me on P3, and immediately at start of P3. I often ate as snack on celery, Perfect snack for when traveling by car. Pnut butter is just so satisfying. Hope you and family found a venue for family reunion.
And hope Miss Penny is doing ok this morning. Are you still looking for a job? Have a great day on P3, and enjoy some bacon! Pearly, this is edited posts--we crossed postings at same time. Good luck on the job hunt! I'd hire you just for fun! My thoughts about pnut butter are mine alone--everyone is different.

Karbee, great job on getting to P4! I agree on the convenience of following p2 protocol during shutdowns. Things are really opening up here in Ky, so more distractions for me. I cannot do P2 and socialize. I almost always go off into P3 land then. Good luck if you do decide to do another short rojund while still under restrictions, see you are in Seattle, you may still be shut down more than we are here in Ky. Went to hair salon yesterday and didn't have to wear mask if fully vacinnated. It was awesome.

RK-Love the bullitt points on PIs! Right on point! Glad you and Mom are both better. Good luck on finish of P2. Those final days sometimes can be frustrating, but sometimes...you never know. Motivational talks are REQUIRED, for me too!

Phoebe, I count start of my PI the day I have completed my 72 hours of transistion. Because I do injections and do my shots early about 8 or 8:30 am, I'm able to have a late P3 breakfast on that 3rd day. EX: Last dose is Thursday, about 8 a.m., then I start P3 eating on Sunday morning with breakfast about 9 a.m. Einstein is a awesome name for dog, and Ivy League would be perfect for his companion. Too cute!

Strong, From your computer keystrokes to my scales, please make the losses keep coming. Those chicks are adorable!~ Hope you got some rest last night. And keep up good work on P3 stablization.

Tracy, Good morning! Looks like you are stablizing well! Yeah, try the Fun Fat Fage! It's soooooo good. I add sweetener to it, of course, otherwise the cocoa powder would make it too bitter. And I do go lightly on the cocoa powder, again because it can be bitter. Yum Yum! If the pnut butter isn't affecting your weight, I wouldn't give it up. I eat the sugar free on P3 and have no problem with it. I didn't know it is off protocol. Lola and Moxie (cute names) I assume they are the beautiful cats that failed to wave thanks as you passed them on stairway on commute to work? Hmm, very beautiful, but sounds like they know it! Ha! Love our fur babies!

AFM: vlc day #5, down 1.4 this morning. So this weight is off virgin weight territory. Yestday lost all load weight. I'm hoping my losses will continue as mrsstrong's did after her planned interruption. I was very pleased to see that drop this morning, it helps me to mentally get in the game! Will say I was not completely on protocol yesterday. I ate my grissini sticks with coffee in am, had Premier protein shake with strawberries in vitamix for lunch, ate baked apple with cinammon and splenda for snack about 3 in afternoon, then had 6 oz of talipia cooked on GF grill. Didn't have any veggies with dinner. I was afraid it might have caused a gain, so was so happy with the 1.4 lb drop. My prob with going back to p2 seems to be mentally accepting the tiny portions on P2. and yesterday I decided to have the extra protein at dinner and deal with reprecussions. Don't plan on doing that everyday, but I felt I needed to, or WANTED to very much yesterday. Still not sure how long this will go on, I am waiting to see how losses go now that load weight is gone. Have a great Thursday everyone!
