Hi Lovelies! Iím at the top part of my window, but not over...hoping it is because I weighed a little earlier this morning and drank water late last night and not that extra pecan butter ate in the afternoon . I am going out with some girlfriends tonight to celebrate a birthday...looking forward to it, itís been forever! Iím going to try my best to eat clean. Will be having a few no sugar adult beverages as well. My middle child had his 5th grade dance last night and graduation this morning. Itís surreal...canít believe my little boy will be in middle school next year. Itís a super busy week with last week of school, soccer tryouts and swim practices and meets. Never enough time!

    Good morning all!

Soooo tired today. Wasn't able to fall asleep for hours last night. Took some melatonin finally which I never do. So weird. Got 5-6 hours after that.
Weight is the exact same today. I had some hazelnuts yesterday so that is exciting. No problem so far.

    Congratulations on the drop, Tracy!

RK, I eat cabbage every day in P2 as well. My losses are OK so I think it's fine with me. I also think P3 is just its own different thing food-wise.

Dubbles, glad that drop stuck. Good going. I love lavender but I have yet to find a place for it n my yard. I have a mostly shade to part shade/part sun yard. I always thought this was awful but now that I am focusing on native plants, the vast array of choices is just astounding. It's so lush!

Ack, Polly! That is frustrating, especially if it does not seem to be the food. I do want to say though that simply because you had it in the past without issues does not mean this is true this time around. Even a handful then can become an issue. So don't count out the pecans. This happened to me with coconut.
I hope you find some answers to your symptoms. I am glad Covid long-haulers is being taken seriously now.

JGD, enjoy the outing! My youngest will be a highschool sophomore next year and is getting his permit in a week. WHAT????

Interesting!! I have only tried raw cabbage and it's made me gain. Maybe will need to give cooked cabbage a try in P3. Hmmmm...

Up early for me, not as bad as Tracy's o'dark thirty, but still about hour early for me. Got DH off for a golf trip, so a few days without someone eating pizza in front of me as I wind down this p2 and eat my chicken or fish portions. Weight this a.m. was .2 above yesterday's. Hardly worth mentioning, and if I slept the extra hour, may've been the same as yesterday. It's ok. I was afraid after dropping 1.8 yesterday, I would have a big uptick this morning, so I'm happy. Just a few more days left till P3. I'm still ok on P2, but look forward to breakfast on P3. Hope everyone has a good, successful weigh-in this a.m. I am going to plant a few lavender plants outside this morning before it get miserably hot, but will check in later.
Dubbs ~ my husband has been working out of town for this entire round of mine, he is back Friday-Sunday for the weekends but it has made it so much easier!! My daughter and hubs had pizza this weekend and I've gotta say... it was pretty tempting! There is this place that makes pizza bowls that I may have to try but with limitted sauce or no sauce... which kinda stinks cuz I like pizza sauce! Hope you have a nice day in the garden!

What the? I am up a full 2 pounds this a.m. after a 1.8 gain yesterday. I am a full 3.4 over LDW, and need to drop at least 1.4. Here's the kicker: I ate NOTHING NEW. I got almost all of my calories in... around 1760. I did think I need to get more in earlier in the day, but I didn't even have anything heavy for supper or later.

Well, I can't do an actual steak day today. I have to be in Denver for a Dr.'s appt at noon. I can't go all day without eating and drive. So, I will try a yogurt day. I can stop on my way out of town to pick up a couple of plain family-sized Greek Gods Greek yogurts and take a small cooler in my car. That way I can eat something right before I go in, so I won't start to shake from not eating. I'm hypoglycemic and you don't want to see what happens when I don't eat! Not pretty!

My jeans still fit just fine. Something must have set off something. I've been careful adding foods-- only the same dairy I had in P2 and the PI. I had some pecans, but I've never had a reaction to those before, and just a handful. I had the same bacon I always have--not the $%#%^ stuff from IHOP. I made chicken salad with a tsp of mayo, but I have done that with tuna, last week. I'm stumped.

I'm being tested for Covid Long Haulers, because I had a cough for months and have been short of breath ever since. Also get dizzy, had a lot of brain fog, etc. I never had Covid to my knowledge, just bronchitis. Tested negative, lungs stayed clear. But hey, maybe they can cure me. I've aged 10 years this last year. Nobody likes getting old, but try getting old overnight! Also not pretty. LOL.

Hang in all. I will probably check in to gripe about eating yogurt later. Take what I say with a grain of salt--- I'll be in a bad mood.

    P
Pearly ~ Ugh.. sorry about the gain! Probably just inflamation. Or maybe pecans? I was looking at some threads yesterday and someone (I think Leez) Said that some foods that never bothered you before may effect you now. You just do what you can and I am the same as you... I have to eat or I just plain feel lousy!! I have always been a breakfast eater and can't imagine having to go all day without food. If I had to do a steak day, I'd probaly end up eating my dinner at noon!! Your plan with the yogurt sounds like a good one!! Good luck on your test!! I want to go get an antibody test as I had covid in January. A friend I know got a test and still, 8 months later, she has antibodies. Hope you feel better and they can help you, whatever it is!!

JGD ~ Kids grow up way to fast!! I wish there was a way to slow down time!! Have fun tonight!!

Mrsstrong ~ I slept terrible last night too!! I could not fall asleep and tossed and turned all night! Ugh... I hate nights like that! Sounds like your weight is somewhat stable, that's great!

As for me... I spent a lot of time yesterday looking for P3 foods!! I guess I am getting pretty tired of the same ol same ol. I have some bacon here, thick cut from Costco and ingredients say brown sugar, but the nutritional label says zero sugars, zero added sugars and zero carbs...? Well, when I hit my 72 hour window, it will be eggs and bacon for me! So, I'm gonna give that a try!! Also, have a bunch of pepperoni so I plan to make pepperoni chips with those. I am always craving something crunchy. I also have the outer aisle breads in my freezer I will try as well... ok... sure sounds like I am ready for a food change! Lol! We will see how these next couple of days goes weight wise, I did make a new goal of 20#'s but may be feeling a bit flexible with that number! Ha!

I was down .3 this morning. Not a lot but after a 3# loss yesterday, I will take it!! At least I didn't gain! I am definately seeing a difference in the mirrow now! I plan on taking my dress in tomorrow for alterations, hopefully all goes well with that. Oh...and I am finally at a 25.1 BMI, still says overweight, but so close to it saying normal (I think 25 is normal) Not that I go by that really, I know it varies from person to person, bone size, etc... but it's good to know at least on my app it will say "Normal".

Have a happy day today everyone!

    VLCD23 down 18.3#'s

JGD, hope you enjoy your time with GFS tonite at birthday celebration. I think everyone is ready to get back to celebrations and socializing. On P3, you can definitely g out and eat pretty clean. Curious, what no sugar adult beverages do you recommend. I was trying to figure that out before we went out the other nite. Unfortunately i think I like a lot of drinks that do have sugar, I love margaritas, diaquiris, sangrias with tequila. I couldn't figure out anything, except maybe bloody mary--I don't like whiskey and diet soda or soda waters mixed with stuff. Your schedule sounds like my daughter's--still has 3 left at home, and the 2 others are always coming home for some reason--her schedule is exhausting! Wish they lived in same city so I could help. The 12 year old started middle school this year--that is a really social time! Have fun tonite.

P, hope you doc visit went ok. That's the 2nd time i have heard the Covid Long Hauler DX in the past week, never heard of that before. Keep us posted, we are interested to hear what doc says. Not sure what is going on with your gains, it is so frustrating to feel you are doing the best you can and still have issues. Years ago i did a few full fat fage correction days. I don't recall what I would lose, but if I remember, they did result in losses. Hope your's works out ok. And don't worry, we'll listen and not judge if you are in a bad mood!

Phoebe, hope alterations day goes well. I always look for sausage and bacon that says sugar free, but rarely able to find them. And when I eat out, or fix bacon, I eat it anyway. Like you said it will show like no carbs. I don't get it. Are you still going to go on your planned interruption before June 1st? Seems I remember that. I'll be going on p3 on Sunday, can't wait to have sausage patties for breakfast! Loss Of almost 20 lbs, have to see a difference, good for you! About pizza, on my last interruption I had Jett's cauliflower crust pizza, thinking it would be a decent thing to have, no bread--but that dang pizza was very heavy on the calories. I remember figuring it up and 4 slices (not large at all) was over 1000 cal if I remember correctly. I was shocked by that. A pizza bowl sounds good.

Strong, sorry you had difficult night sleeping. But you seem to be doing so well.

Hi Dubbs ! Thanks for the advice on the bacon... do you know of any brands that are sugar free? I have the costco bacon here so hoping that it won't be an issue for me, I guess we shall see. My goal was 15#'s, then once I hit that I changed it to 20#'s but I think by the amount of food I am starting to look at that can be eaten in P3, and since my dress in now able to zip up, I think I am getting prepped mentally to be done with this round (Or perhaps make it a PI that lasts a bit over 2 weeks, depending on how I do stabilizing while out of town for the wedding). I am thinking of having my last dose be on Thursday, like you, and start P3 Sunday. And yes... the pizza bowl is from Marco's Pizza here on the west coast. I have also made chicken breast with pizza sauce, pepperoni and cheese for a low carb meal, I'll bet making a pizza bowl at home wouldn't be too hard. Just need to make sure the sauce doesn't have any added sugar in it.

Hope you are having a great day!!
