For those wondering about the bacon/sugar thing in P3. Bacon that is listed as 0 sugar per serving is fine for P3, even if there is sugar used in the curing process. They are allowed to list it at zero if it is less than 1 carb per serving. That means if you eat 6 servings, you might get 5 grams of sugar. So, just keep it to one or two servings and you'll be fine.

It works the same way for salad dressings that have sugar in the ingredients.

Got my number back down to window weight! Yesterday I ate a little IF-ish. Just coffee and water until 3, then had an orange, inflammation smoothie, the rest of the cuke leftover from the smoothie. Then a beef log wrapped in romaine with mayo, piece of pork loin and had a drinky poo with my daughter.

Dubbles, you might like this: Edie was a bartender and always comes up with cool drinks for me. Tequila, crushed ice, lime or lime juice and a splash of grapefruit juice, she sometimes sweetens it with splenda, any sweetener would do. And the finishing touch is a little ground black pepper. Very refreshing and so good with breakfast!

Tracy, you are a hoot! Breakfast tequila, works for me! Ha It sounds very refreshing, except I'm not a grapefruit girl, unless pink and a lot of Splenda! Great job on your drop to ldw window! Good for you. Keep it up.

AFM: dropped 1.8 this morning Am 161.8--so 1.8 away from goal weight. Tomorrow will be my last dose day, last dose weight. Hope this time I can eke out a little wiggle room for start of P3, which lands on Sunday a.m.--come on sausage patties and coffee for breakfast! Will check in later. Working a little outside before it gets to hot. Hope everyone is happy with weigh ins this morning.

Tracy ~ I like how you think!! You are my kinda gal!

Dubbs ~ Great loss this morning!! I am now considering having Friday be my last dose day, just to get one more day in before heading to P3 (and in case I decide to just make this a planned interruption). But whichever day I choose, I am glad to be heading to P3 with you!! You are so positive and always so encouraging!!

Leez ~ thank you for your response about the bacon and salad dressing!! That will be very helpful going forward. Any idea on olives or pepperochinis? I am thinking charcuterie boards will be a go to meal for me in P3. So long as cheese doesn't give me any issues... and boy do I hope it doesn't!!

As for me, I am up .4 this morning, though I weighed 1 hour earlier then I normally do, but I'm sure that wouldn't have made much of a difference. Having that 3 pound loss 2 mornings ago, I expected a rocky few days on the scale. Nonetheless, I am super happy with this round actually I have nothing to complain about! After a very slow start I ended up reaching the goal of 15#'s as well as being able to zip up the dress so I am super happy no matter what the scale says! And I can for sure see a difference when looking in the mirror sideways!

Busy busy day for me. I will check back later. I hope all of you beauties have a wonderful day today!!

VLCD24 down 17.9#'s (back in the 17 pound range but I'll take it!!)
Phoebe~ a.k.a. Karen (Phoebe was a nickname I grew up with that my late dad used to always call me)

Taking it one day at a time!
Today is a good day to have a good day!

    Starting R1P2
    Starting weight 183.5
    R1 LDW 165.7 (25 days of vlcd)
    R2 Start weight 170
    R2 LIW 152.4
    Height 5'8" & 53 years young

Woooo HOOO! The woosh fairy has been busy overnight. Not sure how she got to everyone’s house on the same night but let’s give credit to everyone’s hard work.

I was not thrilled to have the day I went to Denver coincide with a correction day, as there are so many cute little restaurants all over the place near the hospital, which is just around the corner from many of the Denver Museums. But I have to say being behind the wheel part of the day and spending the rest going door to door in a hospital for tests etc. certainly kept me busy and out of trouble.

I didn’t have time to stop on my way out of town to get yogurt, but there was a sprouts right across the street from the hospital. So I got my favorite Greek gods yogurt there and sat in the parking lot snarfing it down before I drove home.

I didn’t do my correction day exactly right, as by 7 o’clock yogurt just didn’t cut it anymore. Can you say starving? As in hands shaking, lightheaded, back starting to ache… I think I go a little crazy when that happens. I feel like I will eat anything to stop that. But lucky for me I didn’t have anything to eat! Cupboard was bare except to cook something and I didn’t want to do that. I had one chicken thigh in the back of the fridge that I probably should’ve thrown out, but instead I gobbled it down like someone was going to take it away from me!

So I’m not sure what to call my yogurt chicken thigh day, but it did help.

I didn’t wanna get up this morning because I was sure I was going to be up not down. I read all of you woosh babies getting nice losses, I thought about rolling over and going back to sleep.

So I needed to be down 1.4 to be back in my window. I was down 3.6.

    I know right?

    .2 under LDW!

No idea. I had no hint I would be down any. No “clean out” no peeing my brains out. Colorado may be in a gravitational shift zone.

Back at it!!! (sans pecans and bacon for a bit!)

    Onward!

PS: I still don’t know if I ever had Covid, without knowing it, or if I have Covid long haulers, but at least they are running a bunch more tests to find out why am always short of breath, dizzy, and tired.

And for once the doctor didn’t start with “as we age…”

165.8 this morning so a 1.2 jump. Could be second day whip from hazelnuts; could be all the eggs I ate yesterday; could be just whatever/life. My dear husband thought I was still in P2 so when he got burgers for the family, he didn't get me one (lettuce wrapped). So I had to make lunch twice (omelet with veggies). He tries to keep up with me LOL

Yay on the drop, Tracy! And your breakfast drink sounds delicious!

Dubbles, awesome!!!! So close! Whether you lose it all or not, these two weeks were good!

Phoebe, so happy for you! The .1 is negligible!

Wow, Polly! Amazing drop! Making mental note LOL

Have a great day everyone! I will have family in town as of tomorrow so may not be able to check in much though I enjoy reading with my coffee in the morning so will try. It helps so much with staying on track.

Grrrrrrowl! I hit some key and deleted my post to you, Pearly! So dadgone irritating. Anyway, WOW , on your 3.6 drop this morning! That is IMPRESSIVE! and without all night peeing! So happy for you. You must have eaten something that you are really sensitive to before your correction day, and it caused that gain, and then correction day did what was asked of it! That loss was like a very low calorie day no.1 loss. Sorry you didn't get any resolution on what is going with your being out of breath, not feeling 100 per cent. It does sound like people who seem to have side effects for a long time after having had Covid. Maybe the tests they took will show up something. Have to say, Pearly, I really admire you, don't think I would have done what you did, doing a correction day when out and about and so many cute little eating places close by hospital. I have to say all you ladies are really inspirational and motivating--hcg is a tool we use to lose weight, but it really takes a lot more than the hcg to be successful at this protocol/therapy. It takes determination, willpower, effort, effort and even more effort. And each and every one of you can be proud of yourselves. Whether it is eliminating all the tasty treats or drinks we might enjoy, or the effort of preparing healthy foods, not eating what's most convenient, or fast food. Hcg helps losing hunger, and with the weight loss, but we did it, too, or we are doingm what is needed for the protocol to be , hcg is helping--but it takes our efforts, too
to be successful. So be proud of yourself!

Enjoy being with your family, mrsstrong. Even if I don't have time to post (don't post from my phone) or if I am out of town, be assured I am reading everyone's posts, and it is so helpful to keep me on track. But if we don't hear from you, we'll realize where you are. You are still under LDW, right, so wouldn't adjust anything.

Phoebe, I wouldn't pooh-pooh the weighing an hour earlier. It effects my weigh-in. So you likely just held steady. Nothing wrong with that! I have thought about doing another day, and making Friday, my last dose day, I have hcg still mixed which I won't then use (don't intend on doing another round till possibly September), but I was so looking forward to Sunday breakfast. I think Friday would take me to 40 dose days. I'll decide tomorrow morning.

Before I had lunch (leftover chicken tenders and cooked cabbage) I felt like I was really, really hungry. Not sure what that is about I never feel really hungry on hcg, even at mealtimes. I feel a little hungry, but not REALLY hungry. Not sure what that is about.? Not sure if it was just because I had already expended some energy working outsid and the tank was empty? (fortunately it started raining and I got to come in and rest a bit) I mention because I'm worried that will effect my transistion days and I'll be starving then. Leez, or someone, should I just lower my dose a little tomorrow ? And if I did one more day on Friday? I'm not worried about the losing part, I'm worried it will affect my 72 hours transistion time. Oh, I feel fine now that I ate my lunch, tho I did have to eat at 11:30 which is a little early for me. I am a little concerned about transition now.

A dose change isn't indicated, unless your hunger is strong and continued past your meal. You really don't have time left to do a skip day and a dose change. You want to go into transition with at least 3 full dose days.

If you encounter uncomfortable hunger on the transition, add more protein or veggies or just try to distract yourself with hot tea or activities.

If you like spice teas, the Bengal Spice variety has some natural sweetness and can be very satisfying. Hibiscus tea is another one that seems to have more body than other teas.

    Hello lovelies,

I hope everyone is doing well. Just a quick post as work is getting pretty intense today. I am nearing the end of my round! I adjusted my goal to pounds under my actual goal as the weight seems to be coming off easily and I thought this would give me a cushion and keep me away from the steak day yo-yos. I hope to transition by this weekend—.8 lbs away now but we will see! THe evil scales may have other ideas.

    Have a great day everyone!

    Warmly,
    RK
