    Goal! Maybe?

First: Happy Birthday Rose! You turned 78 and I am turning 68 in two weeks. That shows all the young whippersnappers out there that Ol' Ladies ROCK! LOL. Congrats on your successes and I feel ya on the postponements. My pulmonologist appt was also postponed, but it turned out just as well, as I did not realize I had a sinus infection and that would have confused the heck out of everything! Glad we didn't go, but now we have to wait and see.

Week 3 in P2 is usually a wash for me, bouncing up and down on the same pound, and maaaaaybe losing a pound by the end. But this week has been kidnapped by the ear/sinus infection/antibiotics stuff and I am confused. Sunday, I was 140.8 and Monday, 142. Not happy, but I knew it was inflammation etc. from all the blech stuff in my head. Tuesday 142. grrrrr. but onward. Yesterday, back to 140.8. Well, that's a good thing and a typical Week 3 for me.

Today, 139.2. I had to get off and get back on three times, as I could not believe it. My goal for this round is 139, and here is the confusing part. My scale said 139.2 BUT it said I lost 1.8 from yesterday. I'm not a math major ---and I have often said don't let the scale balance your checkbook cuz it has its own ideas on what 2+2 equals sometimes---
But really, if it rounded up, I'm at goal, right???

Well, pretty darned close. I still have today, Friday, Sat. Sun. on P2 and then transition days. P3 starts Next Wednesday! If I can stay where I am, I can't complain. If I can lose another pound or even a few more ounces, I'll be very happy.

Another thing that may or may not have had a hand in the loss (tho probably a woosh from getting better infection wise) is that I follow P2.0 and I am supposed to eat about 526 calories of protein daily. The calories of anything else do not count toward that number. I just keep carb grams below 30 and keep the fat super low. Well, this round I have had a very hard time getting to 500 protein calories. I have had a lot of days when I am stuffing down more chicken at 8 pm because I am only at 300 or so.

I kept thinking I need to get more protein intake in the morning, so I added eggs (not only okay on 2.0 but I have had eggs always on P2, as they were on the original list I was given my very first round) I used to do 1 whole egg and 3 egg whites, but I needed the protein to be higher, so I started 2 whole eggs, poached, about midway this round. Still, I was hitting 400 not 500 calories. Ugh. So yesterday, I cooked a 93% lean hamburger patty for breakfast and put 2 eggs on top of it (the wee doggies got that last ounce or so, because it was fILLING.) That, plus a salad with 3 ounces of chicken and a mid-day Oikos Triple Zero yogurt got me finally to 489 protein calories. Et Voila, maybe because of that or maybe in spite of it, down 1.8 today.

Oh well, who knows? But I was certainly not hungry all day.

    Onward!

Thank you MrsStrong! I had eggs today with spinach and a slice of onion. I didn't have any pico, so I splashed on some Hot sauce. It was SO good! How often am I allowed to eat eggs?

    P2 Day 19

Great loss, Pearly! I never venture off protocol like that but wow, it sounds delicious! I had eggs and spinach with pico yesterday and I love that little break. I do fat-free yogurt two a couple of times a round.

I didn't lose yesterday, and this morning I was at a birth so couldn't weigh. Curious what tomorrow brings!

Congrats. You are at the goal i wanted before i stopped p2 If i dont creep down to that weight or close then i will prob do a full round using rx inj end of May. I have big event in okc...outdoor event for 6 days so i want to be on P3 at least for that. I am eating lots of grilled onions this week. Not sure why but they taste delish with eggs fried . For protein i bought organic Truvani powder. Not milk but pea protein, 130 cal ... so work for P3 and would have to be a protein on P2 I dont drink as a shake. I add much less water and it tastes like a very thick chocolate pudding.

    Hi everyone
Haven't been around in a while but occasionally silently stalk the thread. I finished up last round in February with a 21 pound loss. March has been P3 and amazingly stable. When I did this years ago, I would always have the most difficulty in stabilization. Not this time though. But I feel like it has something to do with almost an "accidental intermittent fasting" type situation. I just am not interested in breakfast and mainly start eating 11 or 12 o'clock. Amazing what you can get used to. But I will start up P2 on Monday following the 2 loading days of Saturday & Sunday. I would like to lose 20 pounds but am just going to see where the journey takes me. So with that I will check in from time to time & hope all have awesome losses & stabilizations depending where you are on the trail!

One more thing- I noticed someone talking about a supplement called calcium d glucarate- is this only for the younger ladies or would this be a good one for anyone to take to help with belly fat and other issues?
