Jeanette, cupcakesoaps mentioned it in a post last month and it intrigued me, so I bought it. I take two every morning. My long game is weaning off trazodone (taking for anxiety, depression and sleep at night) and plan to continue with it. I buy supplements from Vitacost.
    JGD added a great explanation.

Kids, the water slide is still open!
Same weight today. Give me another week and I may add the incredible bearded lady to the carnival emporium. Age makes you grow hair in unwanted places...

P2-ers, made my favorite salad yesterday, chopped chicken, diced apple and celery. Dressing was brown mustard, acv, dash of milk, seasoning and a little sweetner. Very honey mustard like. Super crunchy, somewhat messy, so best to eat in private :-)

Dubbles, I'm making your fish and onion on the GF grill this weekend. Any tips on the process? Fish always sticks to the grill for me and makes a mess.

We made it through the week! Give yourself a big hug for staying POP, NSV, PI's - all the acronyms!

JGD, Your menu sounds yummy, just getting up and having breakfast--three meals a day, that's exciting! I had tuna salad often on my P3--both DH and I love it. I don't know if you have ever had the cauliflower style buns that you can get in the freezer section at Kroger, but i got those during p3 and would sometimes have the tuna on that, like a sandwich. They didn't taste bad, had a slight aftertaste, but it gave a sandwich feel. But we had tuna just like a salad, I'd even take out a few spoonfuls for snack inbetween lunch and dinner if I was hungry. So good, one of my favorites. Enjoy!

AFM: I am up really early (for me anyway) this Friday morning. Finally lost the gain from my Monday night restaurant "cheat" meal. Everyone was right--it took 4 days, well, I guess 3 days (Tues, Wed, Thurs) to lose that 2.2 lb gain! This morning weighed in (earlier than normal) and lost 2 lbs. overnight. So now in another "decade", at 169, and 1 lb under what I weighed on Monday morning. Hope it lasts, you never know, sometimes I go up after a good loss. But happy for the moment. Was the cheat meal worth it? Technically, prob not, but I did enjoy and felt like it was worth the money of a nice meal. Didn't really want to go out and have plain lettuce--these things will happen. That being said I don't understand why it takes so long to lose the weight of a rogue meal--loading days we pile on fatty foods and those lbs go almost immediately, seems this meal should not have taken more than a day with vlc eating. It was the kind of meal that is borderline ok protocol for p3--creamy, prob cooked with butter and cream fish dish, tho it did have a little panko dressing coating on the fish--doubt there was any sugar. I keep forgetting about the corn risotto and sangria (sugar) drinks and the tiny sliver of cake. Yikes! Maybe those were the real culprits. Have 2 more weigh-ins for this 3rd week, now on vlc day 20--and for the 3rd week so far, am down 1 lb. Fingers crossed I can lose a bit more over next two weigh-ins so week 3 won't be a total wash. Only 3 more dose days, then transistion of 72 hours. Not much time for a lot of loss now. And, to remind myself--over this round 2, I'm down 10 lbs from last dose weight of round 1. Not great, but at least down.

Hope everyone has a great Friday, and the weekend is full of fun and flavor for those on P3 or going into P3. And for us, p2ers, let's stay strong and get it done!

Tracy, I do my fish on the George Forman grill. I use the Tilapia loins from Costco--so good. Sprinkle with seasonings you like (I use a lot of spices, looks like fish are almost coated) I do spray the grill with a teeny tiny bit of Pam, to help prevent sticking too badly. The onion I prepare by cutting in thin slices, I spice them up similarly to my fish, drizzle a little bit of beef broth on top of onion, then about halfway thru cooking fish, I put the onion slices on top of the fish, and cook further 4-5 min, cooking time depends on how thick your fish is. It turns out delicious every time. Hope this helps.

JGD, congrats on completion of your P2 and getting to eat!

Tracy, keep up updated on that supplement. It has me intrigued.

Dubbles, I’m glad you are now losing since Monday’s night out.

RK, your first week is sounding so similar to mine with your losses. Hopefully you will have a good week 2 as well.

AFM, I had a slight rebound of 0.2 pounds after losing over 4 the previous two days. I kind of expected that being 11 days into P2 and 12 pounds of loss. I only was to lose 7.2 more pounds max to get to 140. I remember you girls talking heights and good weights for you. I’m 5’ 10” and still a size 4-6 at 140 so I’m not built dense at all and with my back issues and heart issues, I need to be lower in weight to feel the least pain.

Mr. S stepped up his cheats the last week of traveling on his employers dime and gained a pound over the last week. I think it might have woken him up a bit about following the protocol better. It was so nice to have him home yesterday though. Of course I had things for him to do in the yard that I can’t.

On a light hearted note, I am meeting my piglet today at 11 am and paying her deposit. We’ve agreed to name her Hambone which is the nickname my late father called me my entire life. I feel like pigs are his spirit animal so the name is too fitting.

    Good morning, all.

Well, not everything goes as planned. I was sort of thinking of coming out of P3 today and cycling back into P2, loading a bit tonight at a big birthday dinner. I am at P3 day 14, not counting transition days. But I won't have time to mix today. Things are crazed.

My wonderful Mother, 95, is slipping away rapidly. My sister and I are trying to figure out how to get there, but we may already be too late. Mom and I spoke on Wednesday, and she was lucid and feeling fine. Yesterday, I was told she could no longer talk. It is a huge shock, even though at 95, she has become very frail and down to 95 pounds. I have called my Mom every day since 2014. Talking to her one day and then not being able to hear her voice the next is ... no words. If we fly, I may have to take my little dog with me, because how do I put the responsibility of caring for her in her condition on anyone else? Or leave her? Ugh. Too much.

Meanwhile, my little contract job which is about 3 to 6 hours a week, chose this week to be difficult. I usually do a format an e-newsletter/blog for the Exec Director of a global livestock organization on Fridays to go out after approvals on Tuesday. LAST FRIDAY AND TUESDAY. The guy was busy and just didn't get around to it. Now they sent the info this morning wanting it to go out immediately. Yeah. Not gonna happen. Although I will try. If I have to fly out over the weekend, I can't leave it undone.

I have a job interview this afternoon, followed by a tutoring session for my niece who is struggling with Just Had It with Virtual Learning Anxiety Syndrome, and then I promised to go to that dinner which is for my Sister's landmark birthday and has been planned for weeks. Her actual birthday is tomorrow and I am praying my Mom does not die on her birthday!

Oh my. So, for now, whether I am 139 pounds or 129 pounds... back burner, my friends. back burner.

    Onward.

Pearly, I’m so sorry to hear about your mom’s health declining so rapidly. You need to take care of yourself and be free to travel rather than worrying about the you can/can’t eat right now.

    Good Morning Lovelies,

I am pleased to be down .6 today. So things are moving in the right direction. I have been taking a nightly potassium pill as Leez suggested. Wow I feel so much better and have more energy. I have recently started deep breathing exercises for stress (instead of eating giggle) it is very helpful. Wish I had started that earlier! Today I have sciatica pain, I am going to look on the internet for some stretches. I don't usually get this! I have had lower back pain and I do daily back exercises, but not this going down the leg pain! Does anyone else have this and what have you tried? I may also take some Naprosyn. Hope that doesn't hurt my losses!

Dubbles, You are right. I don't have that much to lose so I can't keep thinking huge losses week one. Yes, I realized "eating Clean" was doing nothing, so I jumped on a round before things got too far away. I gave away my "fat clothes" so I don't have the options I use to. ha ha. Thank you for your perspective. Your weight loss sounds great! Sometimes there is more losses to come in the final days. Thank you for the fish recipe. I make mine like that but often will put some mustard on it. I like this Ralphs (Kroger) house brand of stone ground dijon mustard. So good. Also salsa on fish is another go to. Then tomatoes for my vegetable.

JGD: Your first day of P3 looks great.

Tracy: Thank you for the info on that supplement. What I use for sleep is "Calm" which is Magnesuim Carbonate plus a 500 mg B1 (thiamin) I use to use the plain Magnesium Carbonate powder, but The company that makes Calm no longer makes it, and when anyone in the family has sleep issues, this is tastier for them. Also, some other types of magnesium supplements like Magnesium Glycinate (it's a capsule, so easier on some people to take) work well with a B1 for sleep. I got that combo from an old doctor friend, and it does help me. Tracy, your salad sounds yummy!

Savannah Sorry about the rebound but it will probably go very quickly! For me it often means fat has left, to be filled in with heavier weighing water, and then a woosh! I also find that I have less pain at a lower weight. Good luck with the new piglet. Cute name Hambone!

Jeanette Great job losing! That is terrific!

Pearly I'm So Sorry about your mom's health declinig! I will pray with you that things turn out ok. It is so hard with elderly parents. We are just so use to having them around. My dad was 91, and had survived many a health crisis and bounced back completely, so I know this is hard. Hope the dear doggie is doing ok! Also Work pressure! Good luck on your interview today! Hope your sister has a good birthday! Weight loss definitely is not the important thing right now! As we know, that can all be fixed another day! Onward Dear Pearly!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

    Fondly,
    RK
