Well, not everything goes as planned. I was sort of thinking of coming out of P3 today and cycling back into P2, loading a bit tonight at a big birthday dinner. I am at P3 day 14, not counting transition days. But I won't have time to mix today. Things are crazed.

My wonderful Mother, 95, is slipping away rapidly. My sister and I are trying to figure out how to get there, but we may already be too late. Mom and I spoke on Wednesday, and she was lucid and feeling fine. Yesterday, I was told she could no longer talk. It is a huge shock, even though at 95, she has become very frail and down to 95 pounds. I have called my Mom every day since 2014. Talking to her one day and then not being able to hear her voice the next is ... no words. If we fly, I may have to take my little dog with me, because how do I put the responsibility of caring for her in her condition on anyone else? Or leave her? Ugh. Too much.

Meanwhile, my little contract job which is about 3 to 6 hours a week, chose this week to be difficult. I usually do a format an e-newsletter/blog for the Exec Director of a global livestock organization on Fridays to go out after approvals on Tuesday. LAST FRIDAY AND TUESDAY. The guy was busy and just didn't get around to it. Now they sent the info this morning wanting it to go out immediately. Yeah. Not gonna happen. Although I will try. If I have to fly out over the weekend, I can't leave it undone.

I have a job interview this afternoon, followed by a tutoring session for my niece who is struggling with Just Had It with Virtual Learning Anxiety Syndrome, and then I promised to go to that dinner which is for my Sister's landmark birthday and has been planned for weeks. Her actual birthday is tomorrow and I am praying my Mom does not die on her birthday!

Oh my. So, for now, whether I am 139 pounds or 129 pounds... back burner, my friends. back burner.

    Onward.

Pearly, my heart feels so sad for all you are going through right now. I certainly think you should not worry about what phase of protocol you are on right now. Prayers for you, your sister, family--and so sorry about your mother's decline. I am sure it is difficult for you and family, but sometimes our loved ones hanging on is difficult for them and us to watch. She will never be far in spirit. Hugs.

It turns out delicious every time. Hope this helps.
@Dubbles, I also cooked the Costco Tilapia loins frequently in P2, almost daily. They are delicious. I sort of poached them in about an inch of water over high heat boiling it all the way down and used these two spices religiously. Oh and with onion and fennel, delish!

Slim, they are so good, it doesn't feel like diet eating, ya know?!

AFM: I know I shared earlier that i FINALLY lost the 2.2 I gained at restaurant meal on Monday, and I have been kinda whining about not great losses this short round....but have to add, I must be losing inches! I never measured, figured clothes would tell the tale, so this afternoon I tried on some clothes I had worn when much thinner-and they either fit, or loosely fit, or ARE TOO BIG to be worn. I was a little surprised and quite happy about that. NSV! Yay! It is about pounds, and inches, for sure.

Everyone was right--it took 4 days, well, I guess 3 days (Tues, Wed, Thurs) to lose that 2.2 lb gain! This morning weighed in (earlier than normal) and lost 2 lbs. overnight. So now in another "decade", at 169, and 1 lb under what I weighed on Monday morning. Hope it lasts, you never know, sometimes I go up after a good loss. But happy for the moment. Was the cheat meal worth it? Technically, prob not, but I did enjoy and felt like it was worth the money of a nice meal. Didn't really want to go out and have plain lettuce--these things will happen. That being said I don't understand why it takes so long to lose the weight of a rogue meal--loading days we pile on fatty foods and those lbs go almost immediately, seems this meal should not have taken more than a day with vlc eating. It was the kind of meal that is borderline ok protocol for p3--creamy, prob cooked with butter and cream fish dish, tho it did have a little panko dressing coating on the fish--doubt there was any sugar. I keep forgetting about the corn risotto and sangria (sugar) drinks and the tiny sliver of cake. Yikes! Maybe those were the real culprits. Have 2 more weigh-ins for this 3rd week, now on vlc day 20--and for the 3rd week so far, am down 1 lb. Fingers crossed I can lose a bit more over next two weigh-ins so week 3 won't be a total wash. Only 3 more dose days, then transistion of 72 hours. Not much time for a lot of loss now. And, to remind myself--over this round 2, I'm down 10 lbs from last dose weight of round 1. Not great, but at least down.

Hope everyone has a great Friday, and the weekend is full of fun and flavor for those on P3 or going into P3. And for us, p2ers, let's stay strong and get it done!
    Yay!

So how many pounds total this round? If you average .4-.5/day you're good, no?

Savannah It's so unfair that the guys seem to be able to do whatever and lose better!

    2many Yay!!!

Rkthin Potassium was so important for me too. I take it even when not in P2.

JGD Happy P3! Glad you are enjoying your foods!

AFM: I did not weigh in today. Maybe tomorrow but most likely it will be Sunday. I hope to not have gained more than 3 pounds which would be totally fine. I'd have to look at some of the new foods for sure for next P3 and figure out the culprit(s), but that is OK too. I have not had 2 of the 3 new foods since home so that should help if they caused an issue. Ha.

I technically do not have to load this weekend but I will eat all the things I will miss the coming two weeks

    Happy Friday!

Pearly, I agree with Savannah 100%.

If I lived near you, I would gladly dog-sit for you! Is there anything I can do to help with your Newsletter job? I'm happy to edit/format or whatever...

mrsstrong, so far on this short round I'm down 10.2 lbs. Since the first round I started January 8/9, I've lost 38 lbs. I'll be happy to stop at another 9 lbs. I've about decided to come back from trips (2 weekends in a row) and go ahead and go back to p2 for 11 days to make a longer 36/37 day round--which I guess would be better for stablization. I just have to wrap my head around that. The last time I did PI 15 days, kept to last dose weight, went back to p2 for only about 10 days, which resulted in loss of another 5.8 lbs from last dose weight before PI. So going back doesn't result in a lot of loss, but I didn't have trouble with stablization. That is more important. I haven't done averages lately, but I don't usually average more than that. After 1st week my losses slow down tremendously.

You enjoy being back home! That was some awesome adventure!

Also, some other types of magnesium supplements like Magnesium Glycinate (it's a capsule, so easier on some people to take) work well with a B1 for sleep. I got that combo from an old doctor friend, and it does help me. Tracy, your salad sounds yummy!

Iíve never heard of taking B1 for sleep. Iíve ordered some and Iím going to try it.
