I also make chicken thighs with a cream curry sauce (just a tablespoon of butter in pan sautť some sliced onions, add 1cup heavy cream and reduce. Not sure if you enjoy sushi, put I do a couple poke bowls on p3. I get raw salmon on a bed of salad instead of the traditional rice. Add all the veggies you like!
You're making me hungry lol. I do love making curry coconut chicken. Cauliflower mash sounds so good. MMm, can't wait! I have a busy busy job, so mostly turkey burgers grilled with mustard, pickle and green beans are probably going to be my staples for lunches. My breakfast, 2 to 3 eggs with half an avocado usually holds me over for hours. Apple/fruit for snacks and dinners... I dunno I can't wait to do a beef patty Saturday night lol with some mayo or mustard (or sugar free ketchup), and lettuce. and my cocoa! But even a quiche sounds good at this point! I'm dairy-free but I did discover cheese (vegan) at Whole foods, that's lower carb than say Daiya and better tasting (cream cheese, too!). I wouldn't mind experimenting with those maybe in the 2nd or 3rd week. I MISS CHEESE so bad! lol. I haven't had it for years.

    -80 pounds!

I keep gaining 20 to 25 of it back, I take off 5 pounds myself and then I do a round and lose 20 lbs. So I have done a total of 7 rounds. I am on my 8th round, taking the SAME 20 lbs off. ugh. But at least I don't gain 80 back!

    First week in the books!!
Last Saturday was my first day back on HCG and I was stuffing my face with grilled cheese sandwiches and poppy seed cake!! This morning I got on the scale and I have lost 10.2 lbs !! actually over 13 if you counted from my loading weight gain. but I count from preloading,,,,,,so a simply grand first week !!

I only had one rough day so far. On Thursday I cooked for about 4 hours. I do a big batch cook every couple of weeks. My husband works in the city 4 days a week and I don't like him eating fast food ect, so I make and freeze all his meals as well as all the cooked sides and protiens we'll be eating for the week, I've cooked this way for many years. I was a single working mother with two young sons and realized they were living on fast food and hot pockets as there just didn't seem to be time to make meals. I started getting up really early on Sunday mornings and cooking all the meals for the week so that we would get decent food and proper nutrition, and have been cooking that way ever since.

On HCG a huge batch cook is a real challenge as I have to be around sooo much yummy food for sooo many hours and I can't tastte anything as I go along! At one point I found myself with a spoonful of spanish rice in my mouth to check for spice levels and had to run to the sink to spit it out !! But I got through it and other than throwing together fresh salads or roasting some veggies I won't have to cook again for 2 weeks. I portion out all my VLCD food and freeze it uncooked then unfreeze a day at a time to whip up. It's working!!

So a week down 5 to go,,,,I can do this!!
Hope y'all have a great weekend!

I love anything eggs, avocado, tuna salad with mayo. I make a lot of roasted veggies (broccoli, peppers, cauliflower), salmon, no bean chicken or beef chili (with cheese, sour cream), avocado, and pico, fritatta, RIBS in the IP! I found a great P3 rub recipe and bought a P3 BBQ sauce. I mean, P3 is awesome LOL Can't wait!

Yes P3 is awesome! And l'm with you mrsstrong, I find bacon -unless it says sugar cured bacon--works for me on P3, and doesn't cause a gain. I haven't purchased Kirkland bacon before, but I will prob try next P3. Have 18/19 more days till then--today is vlc day #6, so dose day #8--dropped another 1 lb this morning. It's working! 18 more very low calorie days would take me to a round of 26 days. I may go a day or two longer, may not--will probably be going back to Virginia the first weekend of May (if team makes the playoffs) so want to be on P3 by then.

I was just telling DH this morning, I miss having slaw with mayo, or tuna with mayo. I think we have similar tastes in food!

    P2 Day 28

    28 days, 4 weeks, 18.2# lost!

Not sure what happened but I dropped 1.8# overnight! This all remains such a mystery! So I have options. I am now at 170.4. Goal is 150. I have a feeling these last 20# will be hard because I have not been down there in a while now and the closest you get the harder, so I think I will finish this round when I get back, and plan my last round to go until goal. Anything I can shave off a 6 weeks round will be great. LOL That or I do a short interruption again after 4 weeks. It is really helping me mentally.

Anyway, today's weight is LDW and this is my goal when I get back without being able to weigh. I never weigh on the 2 no-drop days, no point weighing the first day of P3 and so I have no opportunity to weigh till I get back. It will be an experiment to eat what I know works for me and just trust!

Hope everyone has a great day!

What a great wife and mother you are--admire your batch cooking skills! And congratulations on completing week one! It is a paradox, one side you are so excited for morning weigh-ins, but on the other there is a detox, giving up feeling--as well as the idea of the journey that lies before you. After a couple of weeks I really settle in and find p2 to not be that difficult, but maybe a little boring. Keep it up, you can do this, one week down already!

Wonderful 1.8 inch drop mrsstrong! Very nice! So when do you leave, are you all packed and ready food-wise? Enjoy your planned interruption. Trust the process, if you stick to pretty much p3, you should be fine on your trip.

Ok, so I have a lot of catching up to do....hopefully, I’ll get caught up on reading posts in the next couple of days. We just got back from our family spring break trip. I made the decision a few days ago that I’m doing the PI....so for the past 2 weeks I’ve been eating P3. I wasn’t sure if I was going to end round or do a 2 week PI. Since I decided the PI route, I’ll be back on P2 tmw. I started taking the hhcg pellets yesterday, so tmw will be my first VLCD after the interruption. Plan is to resume P2 for 7-10 more days. I haven’t decided exactly how days yet.

    Good losing, all!

Hey, Linder. Good to hear from you. You are always inspiring!

Bacon Day! Finally. And so P3 begins. My birthday is next week and my sisterís the week after. A cousin who lives here had his last week and has been out of town.

I wont be ready for birthday cake, but hoping we can combine all the April birthdays into a steak fry if we have decent weather. That, I can do!

Transition is hard, but had an extra serving of protein each day and whew. Iím starting P3 down 1.6. I bounced into the 138ís twice in Week 3, so finally got BACK to it. And a bit more.

Linder, I get the Lower than 130 can sound low to others but we are all built differently. Some people wear a size 6 at 150 lbs. I wear a size 12 at 150 lbs.

Until I was 50, 133 was my all time ďOMGĒ highest weight ever. I was ďmyselfĒ at 115, maybe 120. And never did I wear a ďtinyĒ size.

Now, Iím trying to GET to 133 again. In 2012 I was up to 176, which is a fine weight for soooo many, but I had to shop in the XXLís and size 16ís at that weight. Iíve always been a good secondhand shopper, too, but the smaller size the better the stuff. When someone wears an XXL, they donít get rid of it until itís just about had it.

So, over the past 8 years, Iíve done many a round to get back to 125. And I donít stay there. Last year, I thought, ok, maybe I canMaintain 130 better. I still donít know if thatíll work, because of extenuating circumstances. LOL First I got sick, then the pandemic and Et voila! 155.

I was thinking 135 might be better to maintain, but most of my clothes still
Donít fit, and Iím thinking three more pounds ainít gonna do it!

    So onward. The journey continues.

Oh and someone was asking about a taco seasoning without sugar. I think it was Soap several pages back. All you need is cumin. Maybe some pepper. No salt as cumin is very salty and fair warning, a little goes a long long long way!

I lived in Albuquerque for almost 25 years. I would never use one of those package seasoning things! LOL. Find it in the spice aisle, right next to coriander!

    Cool Oh Pearly Mae !

Oh Pearly Mae your post today is one I really needed to read!!

I wear a size 3/5 when I weigh 155 lbs, which according to the charts is quite over my correct bmi. At 130 bs I am a 2 with clothes hanging off of me and looking like I have a terminal illness, according to charts I could still lose a few!!

The last time I got down to where others where telling me I should be I hated it, Yes, I was skinny as could be, at the low end of my bmi, had reached my goal weight and I was miserable, both physically and mentally. My family finally broke down and told me how awful I looked and I finally broke down and told them how awful I felt!! I gained back 20 lbs right away and felt 100 times better. My Dr adamantly disagreed, he took the bmi charts as gospel and I had climbed back up to the yellow area, when I told him I intended to gain back another 20 lbs and live my life in the 170's where both my body and spirit align and I relax into who I am and feel comfortable in my own skin, he was appalled,,,,he is no longer my doctor!!

At 220 lbs I wear a size 13 jeans, at 170 I wear a size 7 ( I have to wear juniors jeans because I have no hips ), I am comfortable in the 170s,,,,my best friend weighs 100lb and wears a size 1,,,that is her "right place" to be, weighing 170 and wearing a size 7 is my "right place" to be!

I have to remember going forward that while HCG may allow me to be a size 3 that is not my happy place!!

About todays weigh in,,,,I Lost Zero !! and so it begins,,,every 10 pounds the big goose egg !! so still at 10.2 , I'm not complaining and I know my bodies pattern, but I hate the stalls!!

    Y'all have a good Sunday,
    Peace Out !
    Lynn

I bought the turkey burgers from Trader Joe's, I plan on eating 2 patties with green beans for lunch everyday at work lol. Easy to grill up and be done for my busy job. With mustard, relish probably.

I never do bacon on low carb, I can never find any without sugar, they all add sugar, so it's off the list for me (even turkey bacon has sugar). I wish I could find breakfast sausage, turkey breakfast sausage or bacon without sugar lol. But I'm not really a huge bacon fan (crazy, I know), my weakness is more pepperoni.

I am looking forward to doing roast in the crockpot with beef broth and seasoning. Of course I can't do potatoes, or carrots like my family, but I can add celery and zucchini for myself I suppose.
Costco brand bacon doesnít have sugar. Look for the low sodium bacons, most of those donít have sugar. Before going into P3, I make lists of P3 menus to choose from. I find really planning for P3 meals super helpful. I like to slow cook a large pork or beef pot roast. Roasted veggies as sides, mashed cauliflower, green beans. Egg roll in a bowl. Chicken fajitas. Ground beef taco salad (make your taco seasoning). Tuna salad. Salads with full fat dressings that I make from scratch with grilled chicken. Chicken swarma. Beef ragu served over zucchini noodles or spaghetti squash. Chicken tenders coated in pork rinds/parm cheese. Cheeseburger in lettuce bun. Steaks with sautťed mushrooms. Look up keto recipes...I like Carolyn Ketchum, Maria Emmerich and Kydra Holley. Once you find recipes you like, bookmark them. I also find printing some out helpful.
