Dubbles-todays your day one right? You'll do great!

Phoebe/Karen-you only have like a week and some change right? Good luck getting a new fridge, always happens at the worst possible time right?

Well back to work - spending alot of time in the bathroom I guess its water weight but whatever, I'll take it!

    Good Morning Everyone!

Day 3 of hcg injections, and yep, Jeanette 1st very low calorie day. I'm ready. I think I have mentally prepared myself , and with weight gained I KNOW i physically loaded myself enough, ha! I didn't go crazy over this past weekend but definitely eased up on clean eating BEFORE starting my hcg-- adding more carbs and sugars than usual and even a few extra cold adult beverages than I might normally drink, trying to stay cool in this heat, then really doing the Loading thing on Monday and Tuesday on hcg---resulting in a significant gain over the 4 days of Saturday thru Tuesday. Started Saturday morning at 159, ended up this morning at 165.4. Whoa! Is that some kinda of record?! That is 1.8 over last dose weight of last round. Hope it will come off this week, fingers crossed. You are doing great, 5.7 in 3 days! As Polly says Onward, but I say also, send that first week magic Westward to me in KY, please. You know how it is, each round we start hcg, there's always that question in the back of one's mind, will it still work, and it usually does, but, still, the question is generally there till it starts happening.....

Have to say, after eating these past few days, felt yuckie. Seriously. Clean eating feels so much better. It really does. During P2 I'll think of all these foods I miss, but they really don't taste that good when it comes time for loading. Except for bread. I do love bread. And it really loves me, so much that it wants to stay with me forever, it seems. That's why even during P3 and P4 I chose not to add it back in. I don't have a lot of self-control with it. If I have one pnut butter sandwich I want 2. I don't want 1 slice of toast but 2 or 3. This morning I'm thinking an added bonus of p2, no sausage breakfast each morning, means no stove clean-up daily. I like that. I have to remember what are good p2 meals. Jeanette, you have any favorite meals? Do you ever have a protein shake as a replacement for a meal in P2? I know I did, I would use those Premier shakes as a meal replacement sometimes, and add my strawberries and ice for a quick easy lunch. Off protocol maybe, but I was able to lose---I think they are allowed on some of the hcg protocols, like hcg 2.0. It just made life easier for me once in a while. I didn't use all the time but sometimes. I really liked fixing enough chicken or fish to have leftovers for another meal as I hated having to cook every meal. I probably need to go back on threads and look at some p2 meals. But I don't like to get too out there in meal prep myself, like to keep it more simple.

Hope everyone has a great day, wherever they are in the process! As for me, let the countdown begin. I know Phoebe has only a week or so left. Jeanette, are you doing a 30 day round, and misscast, you are on pellets, for how much longer? Not sure who else is on p2 Lots are on P3 now. Rose is on P3 and traveling, good for you, Polly is on P4, I think, know mrsstrong is now on P3--think a lot of people are. And we will be too, eventually. It's all good. Have a great day.

I have never swapped a shake for a meal cause I like to feel like I'm actually eating something. Admittedly, I have the appetite of a grown man. Seriously, the amount of food I can eat is astonishing. But the beauty of HCG is you totally are not hungry. Period. Just at a meal time. I pretty much eat the same old thing day after day with a few little swap outs of protein. Fish, your beloved tilapia, is my new best friend. And I am the same with bread, its like a drug for me, once I start I want it all, so I don't touch it even during the load. However, I will admit to cake and ice cream eating this go.

    Hi everyone!

Yay on the loss, Jeanette! Pretty awesome loss even if later than expected!

Dubbles, you'll drop most of that weight soon I am sure. Happy P2-ing!

I love bread too and I usually just stick to having some when I am out eating at a restaurant. A little more contained that way, and fresh!

I haven't replaced a meal with a smoothy but I do have one on P2. I use my fruit, the milk, some Dutch cocoa powder, electrolytes, collagen powder, and water to make a creamy delicious smoothy in the morning. The cocoa powder is off protocol but it has never caused me any problems. Has to be alkalized cocoa powder like the Dutch kind or it doesn't taste good imo.

Weighing in the same this morning 148.8 so I am happy to be stable with what I would normally want to eat so far. Not counting calories, not counting carbs just eating P3, making sure my plate is full enough, there is some protein on it and then a bunch of fresh veggies. May add some plantain chips this weekend. Can you believe I have not had bacon yet? Need to remedy this!

    Have a great day, everyone!

Me too, I had ice cream I think all 4 days, and 2 bowls last night of loading. That's why such a huge gain. Oh well, it is what it is. I do love the tilapia--and didn't grill it a lot when off P2 as I ate it so much during the low calorie phase of protocol, so will enjoy again.

    Hi gang,

Dubbles, that weight will definately come off sooner then you think, I'll bet. I couldn't believe my losses the first week of this round, well after the PI, it came off fast and easy. Do you ever eat Orange Roughy on P2? Good luck!

Mrsttrong, that's great that you have seemed to stabilize, at least for the first few days and BELOW your goal!! Must feel great, congrats!

2many, such great losses so far!! Whoop, whoop!! And that's in just the 1st 2 days of vlcd, right? Amazing... you are off to a great start!!

As for me, I love bread also!! Don't think that is something I will ever be able to give up forever, but I will have it from time to time and just make sure I don't overdo it. I love me an italian sub sandwich with all the fixings!!

Today I am down .8, have had no hunger issues at all. The plan is to stick this out with last dose being next Tuesday. My hair though... jeez... every few minutes I seem to feel a piece that has fallen out on my arm. Have a hair appointment tomorrow night, not gonna lie, a little nervous about going. If I were to get to 148 before next Tuesday, I may just end it there so I can increase my protein significantly. Maybe even 150 which is actually my "goal".

As for my fridge, we purchased it Dec 2019. Not even 2 years old. Dealing with sears because we did get their extended warrantly, so we have to go through their repair people, etc... they will be here tomorrow and hopefully be able to fix it. Then I need to submit a food list to get money back for all the food that was gone. If the repair people don't have the parts, then could be another 5-10 days for them to repair it, because it has to be approved and go through Sears. We are tempted to just get a new frige but gonna wait to see what happens tomorrow. Really a pain in the donkey!!

Hope everyone has a great day!!

    152.4 for me today.

    Good Morning Lovelies,

It has been a tough week for me. Mom fell again and I am overworked and overtired. Today I am saying no to everyone and threatening to cancel things so everyone is leaving me alone (a true win). I will be doing this more often and saying no more often....

I will read back more and catch up. Glad to read everyone is doing well.

AFM: I am DUMB DUMB DUMB. I had blueberries yesterday for my second fruit and I am up a whole pound....oh well. Today I will be super good and get back to being POP.

    Sending you all good wishes,

Oh no! So sorry to hear about your mom! I fear my mom falling all of the time. She lives alone and uses a walker and will be 88 years old in 2 weeks. Hugs to you and your mom!! I hope she is ok! Crazy how a healthy fruit like blueberries can cause a gain, right? I am that way with cabbage, if I eat it, I gain. You take care of you!! Hugs!!

That extended warranty was a good idea! I hope the fridge gets fixed and you get reimbursed for everything.

I bought a new Maytag French door fridge a couple of years ago. Then, a year later, my air conditioning went on the fritz and I couldn't get it repaired for a week when it was in the upper 80s with high humidity. The fridge section stopped working after about 3 days of no AC, though the freezer was OK. I called for repairs, and of course couldn't get on the schedule for a week. I froze everything I could, and turned my wine cooler to its coldest setting and saved condiments, eggs, etc - I had that thing absolutely crammed! I finally got the AC fixed, and 2 or 3 days later, the fridge started working again. The repair guys told me the problem was humidity - guess the new fridges can't tolerate it. Anyhow, I was fortunate to not lose food and both AC and fridge are still working.

Thanks for the article about hair loss. I'm going to be doing a round in September, so I have been taking biotin, using Rogaine, and a laser cap - trying to get those follicles fat and happy ahead of time. I have very fine curly hair with familial pattern thinning, which really becomes obvious when I neglect my gray roots! I would so love to avoid losing more . . .

Hi gz9gig, yes, happy we got the extended warranty, at least so far. We got the Kenmore Elite frenchdoor fridge and I have loved it... now, not so much! We will see if they can get it fixed in a timely manner. I have also been taking biotin and a multi vitamin. Not sure how well it is helping, I am ready to be done with this round soon just so my hair can grow back. I've seen those laser caps before, thought about getting one for my mom. How do you like it? Today is VLCD31 for me (but I had a 2 day hiatus and a PI after only 16 days of doses) so this round has been all messed up! Hopefully I will stabilize fine. I am only 2.4 pounds away from goal but 4.4 away from where I want to end at. We shall see. Will have 6 more injections to go if I stay the course.

I had extreme hair loss in second round in 2011 but found out the clinic i went to said i could srop taking thyroid meds while on hcg since i wouldnt need it. Should have confirmed with my family dr After checking my thyroid was way off. Since then i have never had hcg hair losses. I also believe it was because i did two long 40 day rounds with only 6 weeks in between plus quit my thyroid meds.
Just to encourage you, if your thyroid is not out of whack then hair should return after you get off the extremely low calorie diet and move on to P3. Curious, did you stilll have hair loss during the planned interruption? Prayers for this problem to be resolved.
