Hi lovelies!
Checking in to say I’ve completed my first week of VLCD and I’d shed 9.2 pounds pounds in 7 days!
I’m feeling lighter and my energy is increasing. I feel like the carb/sugar withdrawals are past me. I’m not expecting huge losses moving forward. My TOM is due any day so they may halt for a few days.
I’m glad I pulled the trigger and jumped in before the end of the year. That’s less weight to lose in January.

Down 0.2
Usually goes that way after a bigger loss in weeks 2 beyond.

Good morning lovelies. Stopping my to hold myself accountable. I slipped yesterday when we had our in-laws over to celebrate Christmas with them. I made the best choices I could regarding food and had a couple seltzers. Today is VLCD 13 and I’m down 12.4 pounds total for this round. Yesterday I lost over a pound, the day TOM arrived so I’m not sure that loss will stick considering the seltzers, but today I will definitely remain POP. I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Today finishes P1 for me, and honestly, I can gorge like a champ, so at this point P2 is looking like relief to me, LOL.
I did not stabilize well after my last round; the creep began almost immediately, even while sticking to P3 foods, and then it really snowballed with my birthday, and T-Gives, and a week abroad. I'm so ready to get rid of this bloat, inflammation, and whatever real weight I picked up along the way. And I pray I remember that going off the rails with sugar and starches is NEVER WORTH IT. I'm considering having it tattooed on the inside of my eyelids.
Anyway, HELLO again, friends! I'm boldly beginning a round amid this festive season, and glad to stop the runaway train. It'll feel so good to start losing again. . . .
Good morning, Ladies. Good to see you posting again, DMM. I am 2 weeks into my maintenance round. Just posted more in the men's forum.
It is a bold move to be on protocol during the holidays. But it has been nothing but a positive experience so far. It is great to be losing weight instead of gaining during the holidays. It is also good to be stopping bad eating habits in their tracks while everybody else is mindlessly eating and gaining worse habits. Of course, Christmas parties can be a bit awkward but survivable. Our tennis team had a party last Saturday. Was a pot luck so there was a ton of good food there. I did just fine mentally. Had a good time with friends, didn't miss the food and moved on the next day.
It is not a surprise that this thread and website is so dead. This time of year, not many are focused on protocol. But come January I bet we will see more activity here. Those of us who are rolling in December will be ahead of the game.
Wilson,
I agree with all that you said. I mentioned my shortcomings that happened on Saturday. As I anticipated, that the alcohol had me artificially low, I did rebound one of the 1.8 pounds lost Saturday.
I practice yoga 5 days a week, and relax on the weekends. My losses have been better when I’m getting good exercise so I’m not able to not. I was able to get a 4 mile hike in last week. This week is nothing but rain and snow in the California Sierra foothills so all my exercise has to be indoors this week.
I have 7 more injection days before I transition into PI. VLCD14 -11.4 pounds and 11.6 pounds from goal

Sounds like we are on the same schedule, Savannah. My last dose before transition will be 12-21 so I can have a full day of P3 foods 12/24 (48 hour transition on HHCG). Wine is my big vice. I was able to stay away completely at the party Saturday. Come 12/23, I will be more than a ready for a glass or two but it is very nice to take time away from it.
How far into January are you planning after your interruption?
Honestly, I’m 5’10.5 and 156.6 today. I initially set my goal at 145. I’m a healthy weight now. Part of me want to see how I look at 140 so I have just a wee bit of leeway. The 21st is my 23rd injection so I will have 20 left. I’m just going to go to 145 and evaluate based on the mirror and clothes.
I don’t want to be super boney either.

Thanks, Savannah! I always feel good on HCG, and I'm super motivated right now, so yes, I do believe WE GOT THIS!
WB, great to see you here again! I mean, I wish all of us could be fully and permanently transformed after just one round, but le sigh. It's great we have this tool and can reconnect and catch up with each other's journeys here.
This is day 2 of VLC for me and rather uneventful, I'm happy to report. Just as I suspected, it's a relief at this point to know exactly what to do and what to eat. And perhaps even more of a relief this time of year, ironically enough.
I'm planning an interruption the first week of January for an annual trip with BF to meet up with friends. Originally I had planned to start my round after that, but it seemed like a much better idea to just take the plunge and do a PI after 25 days. I did my first PI during my last short round as a kind of accident when I blew it on P3 on another trip with BF, gained, and then decided to turn it into a long round with an interruption. The interruption turned out to be a very good thing, and I finished quite strong.
Of course my aim this time around is to not gain during the interruption, and the biggest challenge will undoubtedly be, drumroll please, to not drink. Seems Savannah, WB, and I have that in common. I'm generally OK except in social situations. And with this group, there's a lot of peer pressure. However, I'm grown and the only one who decides what I put in my mouth. And I really want to do well on this round. My worry, though, is when I get back into range of my happy weight--and I likely will be there, at least fitting back into my skinny jeans--I have a tendency to loosen the reins. And that's a bloody slippery slope.
Couple questions:
1. Has anyone done HCG Chica's P3 to life program? It's pricey, but if it's as good as it seems, I'm willing to invest to get it right this time and really figure out a livable maintenance.
2. Thoughts on working out through P2? I'm not doing anything I haven't been doing before this round, but it does include lifting weights. Just twice a week for 30 minutes, but I do lift heavy. In addition, I teach yoga and barre three times a week, do pilates and yoga every week, and walk every day. Right now it seems OK, and I kept it up through my last round without issue until near the end when I got sick which may have been from overtraining with too few calories. Anyway, I really enjoy the workouts and would prefer to retain as much muscle as possible. I'm thinking/hoping if I don't overdo it, it should be OK, and maybe even help with muscle mass.
Thanks, all. I hope everyone is having a good week!
Congrats on great losses, Savannah! Deciding on a goal weight is a real process, isn't it? I found out through experimentation that my sustainable goal weight is definitely higher than what I was able to reach with HCG. I'm learning body composition and measurements are more important for me than scale weight, too.
PearlyMae, it'll be good to have you back in 2022!
WB, good luck enjoying and managing your beloved wine when the time comes!
I feel the same way. I want to get to 210 (222 now) or just under but not too far beyond as I would have to replace my entire wardrobe. My plan for post interruption is to make it to 33 days VLCD total. But weight and measurement will be the main deciding factor. I not only want to get to 210 or just under but want to be in that range a couple days before transitioning out. I would really love to give myself the best shot at creating a set point at that weight. My fear is that if I pull the plug right as I hit goal, my body will rush back to the previous set point of 218 as soon as I transition out of P3.
