Kar, it sounds like your body was shifting some water stores during your transition that should have happened during P2. The steak day should take care of that and straighten you out.

Oddly, I gained after LDW, instead of continuing to lose during my last 72 hours of VLCD. The biggest jump made sense to me because I ate more (P2-friendly) calories the last day because I was very hungry and then I woke up with a splitting headache P3D1 (yesterday). I did test my hcg to make sure it was still good for LDW, so I'm not sure what was up during my final VLCD days.

Yesterday I introduced bacon and avocado. They have always been "safe" foods for me. This morning I weighed-in at 2.4 pounds over LDW. Not cool, TESS... not cool!

So I'm doing a steak day today. Hopefully that'll be the only one I need and I got it over with early. lol

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
Donít feel bad. Iím the idiot who bought some keto friendly cheesecake and didnít look closely at the ingredient so that loss is nil. All kinds of guar gum and crap. You are not alone I was 151 this morning. I will dial it way back and do a steak day tomorrow. That should get me back to the 148 range and Iím going to pay attention!!

Off to do a ride. This bike saves me!

Hang in there Kar and Starbucks. It is a constant learning process I'm thinking. And the focus has to be pretty vigilant is my second thought. Hope it goes better for both of you in the morning with some drops after adjustment, either today or tomorrow.

Quick question. L-carnitine vs. acetyl l-carnitine. Is there a huge difference? I recall not getting acytyl but thatís all they had and the girl said itís the same and I suspect she has no clue.

Good morning, lovelies and thanks, everyone!

My steak day was a success. This morning I was back down to 0.6 over LDW.

Starbucks, I had heard acetyl l-carnitine may be better for absorption than l-carnitine, but I don't know if that claim has been proven.

Hope everyone has a great day!

From the info I found on a quick search: It looks like either one works for weight loss purposes and L-carnitine is the one generally used by body builders. The acetyl one has extra properties that help with neurological things and energy because it apparently can cross the brain barrier.

If you eat red meat you get plenty of carnitine, but your body makes it, so even vegetarians will make enough. This made me smile: An interesting side effect of taking too much L-Carnitine is smelling fishy. So if your favorite body-builder is smelling fishy, you can tell him to back off on the L-Carnitine.

Sorry Starbucks, I can't help with your questions re l-carnitine. Maybe someone else will help out. I am curious about l-carnitine uses? Hope you all have a great Monday.

AFM: dAY #11 OF Planned Interruption. Weight was .6 up from Sunday morning, but that is still .6 Below LDW. So weight has been pretty stable, ranging from 1.4 below LDW TO .2 below LDW. Haven't gone over LDW yet. Today I am going to watch carefully to make sure I eat enough calories--in fact, plan on trying to up calories, see what happens if I do go all the way up to 1800-2000 calories (if they haven't been there already). I would love to be able to eat that many calories and not gain weight, you can eat significant food at that many calories when you have eliminated sugars and starches. We'll see. Hope everyone has a great day, its warming up (still no sun today), light rain--hope it melts some snow. Plan on making more tuna salad with the Duke's mayo. Then some coleslaw to eat with fish dinners--these are things I don't eat on P2. Will be back on hcg and vlc by end of week. Not really dreading it, want to make those last days really work. Mentally preparing for the hohum of p2 eating after the wide range of foods and tastes permitted on P3. After this coming P3, will definitely do the P4 before 1 more round of P2? I think I will need one more round. Happy Monday Everyone!

Lol!!! Thank you! I woke up At 150.8 so I am doing the FFF breakfast and steak for dinner. I will attempt an epsom salt bath but that entails cleaning the boys tub Lovely Losers 2021- FIT & FINE in February!!.

I am determined to get back down to 147 range. I have read Leez opinions on the diets that follow FMD and THM. I need the one that allows for coffee!! I need to look at ratios and carbs and allowing the good ones back in. I have some work to do!!

    Happy Tuesday Lovelies!

Decided to jump back over to this thread since I am now P3D2. Don't want to torment those still on P2 with what I'm eating So far, so good... TESS has been playing the yo-yo game with me for the past 3 weeks and it just continues in P3. Up 0.6, same, Down 0.7, and on and on. I hope it all settles down once my body finally figures out that I'm feeding it lots of good food now...

Haven't been hungry other than for regular meals. I'm surprised how quickly I fill up, though. Guessing that will adjust once my system gets used to a higher volume of food. Today, had an avocado, apple, couple of pieces of bacon, and about 4 ozs of left over P2 chicken breast mixed with some mayo to fatten it up a bit. Will have bacon, cheeseburgers tonight, sans bun. I'll probably only be able to eat about 1/3 of a half pounder, but that's OK. Leftovers for tomorrow... Looking forward to planning lots of yummy menus in the next few weeks. Still haven't decided if/when to do another round. I guess I'll just see how I feel at the end of 6 weeks and decide at that point. For now, happy with what I lost this last round and looking forward to a good stabilization.

Enjoy the rest of your week everyone!
