Good morning everyone, it's Thursday morning-I'm sorry for being awol this week--I have been so busy trying to get ready for company coming today and tomorrow. They will be here thru Tuesday. So I will not be on much till after then. I have tried to read everyday, but am so exhausted that I can barely read, much less think of anything interesting to share. I have another busy day today of prepping foods and freshening beds then 4 1/2 days of madcap fun with friends and family visits here and there, shopping and games--there will be 7 additional people sleeping here, and 5 will be boys! It gets loud and crazy! I wanted to hop on quickly tho because when someone goes missing I wonder about them, and hope they are doing ok. I am doing well. Actually quite well.

I'm on day 12 of P4, and this morning weighed in at 160.8, which is 2.8 below last dose weight, probably because I am workinging my butt off. The other night DH purchased some brownies, I gave in and ate one, figured I am on P4. Woohoo, no gain the next morning. But only ate the one. Portion control, baby--it's the name of the game. At one time I would have had 3 or 4 of them. Today will be Picking up a cake I had made special, decorated for kids to celebrate all their hard work on swim team and golf teams this summer--so I will have a little of that, but I know it is about moderation now. It's raining here today--but It's been brutal, heat wise for all of us, I know. From what I've read, everyone seems to be doing pretty well. No major issues. I really don't know how Polly has the energy to do all she does--she puts me to shame, seriously. And Phoebe, puppies are like toddlers, much work. Ozzy, my three year old, I said would be my last puppy--any new dogs will be past puppy stage--they are fun, but WORK. i'M not mentioning everyone, but my thoughts are with you all. Whether on a planned interruption, or back from vacation, or in P2, hoping the best for us all as we get back to our busy, active , involved lives, interacting with people! Hugs to all!

    Happy 4th of July Week!

Can you believe we are in JULY already?

Dubs, doing so well! I have not been that brave when coming to sweets. I'm glad it works for you.

I think I know where my gains came from: I tried some zero sugar lemonade. It was really good, but made with sugar alcohol erythritol. Did a NUMBER on my uh... elimination system. I thought I would be down several pounds, not up! It took a couple of days, but I normalized. So thinking it caused inflammation as well as distress. Yesterday, I had a light lemonade, with some sugar, but only a few carbs. Same, if milder, result. I'm only up .2 today, but again, shoulda been down a LOT! Darn. I love lemonade. But won't be drinking any of those again. I tried a sugar-free margarita mix with erythritol early in P3 and it was even worse. Dang.

I have a lot of energy? Ha! I came home from trying to ride bikes with my nephew but his bike chain broke, so we went to a nearby park and had a Subway picnic instead. I came home about 3 and was going to mow the front. But I decided to take a half hour nap. Double Ha! Slept more than an hour like someone donged me over the head with a rubber mallet. I decided to mow TODAY. But I'm still at my computer, obviously.

    Onward, every buddy!

Happy for you, Dubbles! Your P4 sounds perfect!

Polly, I made it with stevia before and loved it. Except that it messed with my blood sugar big time so be careful. When your body expects something sweet it starts pumping insulin. When there is no sugar coming, you have a big crash. OMG that was awful. But if I drink it when eating something I was fine.

AFM, down 1.2 this morning. Doing great!

    P2 Day 18

Day 18 of P2 and my last dose! I'm down 12.1 pounds over the last 18 days and really pleased with the results, but wow this has been harder than my last 40 day round! I don't know if it's the heat, or having less available fat, but I've definitely been more hungry. As I don't eat breadsticks or take milk I've been careful to track calories and throw in a little more protein to make sure I get at least 500 and that has helped. Looking forward to P3 on Sunday!

Dubbles and PearlyMae - you're doing so well! Congrats!!

    Good morning lovelies!

I hope everyone is doing well and I wish you all a safe and happy July 4 weekend. I don’t know what’s going on but it seems like I barely get a minute to do anything I am just so hard at work here. It seems like we are all in that boat whether it’s company coming or work picking up the pace.

Pearly I’m glad to hear you are doing well. Great job figuring out the lemonade issue. I also have trouble with Stevia and other fake sweeteners. They just make me gain weight.
Dubbles I am with pearly your schedule sounds exhausting!
Mrs. Strong how are you doing?

AFM: I have lots of entertaining I am doing this weekend and a house I need to clean. However, I am taking off the day to run around with mom. I think it will be fun to get her out. My steak day went really well! I think drinking a lot of liquids kind of cools any inflammation that is going on. I was down 3 pounds. That just puts me 1 pound over my window. I know. It sucks. But I am dedicated to doing well and getting back in my window.

In other news, I found a terrific charity thrift store in a wealthy area not that far from my home. They have been inundated with tons of donations and have marked everything down. I got some really nice things except giggle now that I’m thin I think I look darling in everything so I really have to talk myself out of buying some stuff. I have no perspective. But when you are buying dresses for four dollars it is easy to go home and get rid of things that are too big or too worn out. Just wanted to share that in case it helps anyone.

    Have a wonderful day!

Good morning everyone! I am flying by on here before heading down to my elderly moms house to help her with chores, shopping and a dentist appointment today. I am down a little, exactly .3#'s above LDW. I will start to load this weekend if all goes as planned.

Dubbs, how fun and exciting and a lot of work having family over this weekend!! I'm excited to see how it all goes and great job stabilizing!! I have also tried sweets and thankfully they haven't given me any huge gains. I am actually pretty surprised that I have not gone above that 2# mark this P3 & P4, I really almost expected it. This HCG diet is just the best I have every found and it really works if you do it the right way!!

Pearly.... I can't believe it is July already!! Time sure does seem to go a lot faster the older I get!! Your personality always puts a smile on my face!! Hope your girls are doing ok!! Haven't seen much talk about them lately, I guess no news is good news. (So my Mom always says).

Karbee, down 12 pounds in 18 days!! That's awesome!! Congrats! I love the P2 of this diet!!

Strong, glad to hear you are doing great this P2!! I'll be there to join you hopefully Monday!!

Misscast, you are in P2 right? Hope it's going well!!

RK ~ great tip about clothes shopping. My DIL loves to go thrift shopping and she gets the best stuff for super cheap!!

    Have a great weekend everyone!!

Phoebe, yes, they are doing alright. Thank you for asking! They did not magically become puppies again, but if they had, we all would want whatever they're having!

But at least my two little old lady dogs are comfortable and with me. Penny's huge liver inflammation/ infection really put her off her feet for the whole week we were at the vet all day 3 times, and it took more than another week to get her strength back. At least enough to help her feel better.

She still coughs and had one day last week where she was just hangdog. Laid across my lap for an hour (she has never even let me keep her in my lap for more than 30 seconds!) and was super depressed. Out of desperation, I made up a 'cough syrup' for her.

It is just well steeped tea (a 1/4 c of chamomile, another 1/4 cup of ginger root and turmeric tea, diluted with a 1/2 c cool water, added coconut oil, lemon juice and honey. Kind of a splash of each.) I have used this first in an eye dropper and now with a plastic syringe with no needle to squirt a teaspoon full down her throat.

For all I know, it is at least keeping her throat moist, and while she does not like it>>>> I am the Poisoner! Terrible Mama who tortures small dogs!<<<< it really seems to comfort her. That first night she was in panic from not being able to catch her breath from coughing so I gave her a dose (this is at 4 a.m.) and she immediately laid down, stretched out and fell asleep. There is nothing in there to make her sleepy, but it made her feel better. I have to think a collapsing trachea HURTS.

She also gets tramadol, teeeny tiny little ones, before bed at night, but that helps more with the muscle aches from coughing. I had tracheal bronchitis last year for months, so I get it!

Meanwhile, Pearl is concerned, and they spend a lot of time napping curled up together. I notice when Pearl sleeps, she SLEEPS. Makes me smile, but sad that she is also getting elderly.

I'm sad I'm getting elderly, too! I applied for a super good job and am calling everyone I know where it is to get help getting my resume up to the top. But at the same time, as I can't help but think how nice it would be to NOT HAVE TO WORK again. Financially, I better buy more lottery tickets if that is to ever happen.

    Onward!

I have no issues with Eryritol, even use Swerve and ZSweett (Stevia -Erythritol blends) in P3 with no problems. But Mailtitol gives me the issues you describe, tummy issues, and gains from inflammation.

    P2 Day 19

mrsstrong Yup, I made it to goal!
Rkthin That is a fabulous tip!! And you can't help looking amazing in everything. Hope you have a lovely day with your mom.
PearlyMae Glad Penny's able to get some relief. Fingers crossed for the job!

Down another .6 this morning for a total of 12.7 pounds. I fancy this is the universe taking pity as tomorrow I have to go to a gathering that I agreed to when it was a casual thing and has now turned into a fancy dinner party at which I won't be able to eat anything. Will be armed with a cooler of seltzer and an apple!
