More than likely, small gains can be related to heat and humidity if you are experiencing that in your region. When air is humid, your skin holds more moisture and it can show up on the scale.

Melons, especially cantaloupe are prone to carrying molds....if you are mold sensitive, that can be a reason for a reaction like a big jump on the scale. Its not necessarily a food sensitivity.
Thanks for feedback Leez about the cantaloupe. I don't if I am sensitive to molds or not--we shall see if I drop a little of this tomorrow morning. Not going to have any more of it today. It really wasn't as good as I'd like anyway. The pineapple seems much sweeter, and have no gains with it. This cantaloupe still had a relatively tuff rind (skiN?) It was good, but I've eaten ones a lot better. I LOVE cantaloupe, if really ripe could eat an entire melon! Thanks again. Outside to do some yardwork now. It is miserable out there tho

Which is not to say I havenít had bouts of 2 over and 2 under but I seem to snap right back to this weight when I spend a few days eating well. My downfall is snacking and alcohol which I am limiting massively. I have had exactly 2 drinks since January. At work Iím on the 10 hour days so my day starts at 4am ends at 5 by the time I get home so I am waiting until end of this before I start up again maybe mid August. I have 10-15 pounds to go but the re-shaping Iím doing is amazing. At work no one said anything about my weight until I started the re shaping process. I used certain jeans as a gauge to tell and it has been amazing. The actual number on the scale is the same but the body is changing. Always hard to wrap your head around that.
    WOOHOO!!!
    Congratulations, 2many!
And I know what you mean about people commenting when the reshaping happens in P3. I have some more reshaping to do so fingers crossed it happens exactly where I want it to! It is so so fascinating!

I am just not going to weigh LOL First day of P2 and it is just soooooo hot and it is even muggy. I doubt that what I see on the scale is a true number as this weather is so extreme. I am following protocol and all I care about is the number at then end. I will weigh eventually but I have been so busy watering the yard and keeping my chickens alive. Tonight it should cool down finally. This was weird and scary. We don't have 115ļ days here. Or nights that do not get below 85.

I had an apple so far, and plan on tilapia with cucumber soon, and shrimp and tomato for dinner. Maybe a strawberry with cocoa smoothy for dessert.

Hello and Happy Monday! Hope everyone is doing well. Puppy is finally sleeping which means I have a few free minutes to come on here and say hello.

Dubbs & Peary you both are doing great maintaining!! And watching what you eat. I honestly have been off the rails lately with the food intake, but thankfully, I am staying within the 2# window. Today was the closest I've gotten, I am just .6#'s away from my window. Today I am going to try and do better then I have the last few days! Crossing my fingers.

Mrsstrong & those others (I know I read someone else was in P2 right now too but I can't remember) RK maybe or Karbee? Anyhow, happy losing to all of you in P2. I am going to to look forward to joining you guys next weekend during 4th of July and hopefully get through a short round, or possible make that a PI for 2 weeks then back in to P2 for the remainder time. I am going to have to play it by ear.

Mrsstrong ~ hang in there during this heat wave!! Stay cool!!

So my son had a follow-up (phone) visit with a doctor (Kaiser) and thank goodness the Maui hospital was a Kaiser hospital so this doctor had all of his info. Heart x-rays, vitals, results, meds given, etc... and he said he is 99% sure that this was due to toxins (alcohol) and he doesn't believe it will happen ever again. (I'm just worried about the 1% if he is wrong) He went on to tell him that everything else looks outstanding for a 22 year old, heart x-ray looked great, but to not drink hard alcohol, only beer or wine and limit it to 3. Also told him to ease back in to working out, walking at first and then can start running again. I am thankful but also would have liked for him to at least refer him to a cardiologist. But, it is what it is and I just pray this doctor is correct! He and his wife took off this moring for Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and then back to Nebraska for the month of July until the start school in Aug in Texas.

Hopefully you all have a great Monday and week!!

Thanks Dubbles! Day 1 passed uneventfully, I'm sure I'm living off the fat of the land, meaning P1.

I salt cantaloupe too! Got it from my grandparents. I'm sure by the time you read this the scale would have calmed down. If not, you know what to do obviously as you have stabilized so well.

Crazy hot here as well. But that's why I waited until now for another round, no hhcg chills now!

Great posts, every buddy! Thank you. It always gives me a lift to hear from you all.

Iím up. Again. 3 days in a row. Up 1.6 since Fridayó-.4, .4 and today double, .8. Iím still under my LDW by .8 so I have no right to complain but Iíve suffered inexplicable creep sooooo often. Sigh.

I had one pc of KFC w family. Guess we know what ONE of those secret spices is: sugar!

Ill have to put yesterdayís foods into the tracker when I have time later. I thought I was eating properly but I better double check if I got enough, too much, or what.

    Today, I shall do better!!!

Pearly, a slow creep can be a hidden sensitivity even if youíve always had all the foods you are now eating.
That said, more carbs = more water and so it may just even out.

That heat wave in a lot of places is brutal! Today I am down a little, really not sure how or why, I tried yesterday to eat pretty good but had a small slice of leftover B-day cake pretty late last. :/ I really need to get this stuff out of my house so the temptation isn't there! I am doing so bad with my water intake lately too! I am so good in P2 with water (liter iin the morning, liter in the afternoon and a liter in the evening), yesterday, I probably had a total of 2 8oz glasses all day!! I am going to really try today to drink water. I got woken up abruptly by my daughter this am around 6:00 because the pupply pee'd on her bed!! Ugh....we have only had her 2 weeks now so we can't expect her to be potty trained yet but man...she goes potty so much!! Ha.. my husband gave her a nickename of Pierre (Pee'er).

Well, busy day today for me work wise. I will check in later.

Mrsstrong, 16.6 is so doable!! You've got this!! Excited for you!
Pearly, I hear you about the tick up!! Seems like you are at a good weight though right? I am going to try and get down to as close as I can to my "goal" and then I really need to workout. I got some flabby areas that need to be toned up BIG TIME!!
Dubbs, you are doing so good with your maintenance!! I am so happy for you!!
Misscast, are you just starting P2? I tried to read back on everyone's posts but I obviously missed some!! Hope your doing good whatever phase you are on!!

    Today I was 165.6
    LDW 165.7

Today I am going to really try to drink the water. I think I'm going to line up 6 bottles of water on the counter and not go to be until I finish every one of them. Good day to you all!!

    Hello Lovelies,

Hope everyone is doing great. It is a steak day for me and I feel hungry! Also, I feel grumpy. I was suppose to take Mom for a procedure tomorrow, I moved everything around to do it, and the doctor's office did not send over the second page of the lab orders....So now it is postponed 2 weeks..... Well, we all make mistakes and they are overwhelmed.

But everything will be ok. Onward as Pearly says. I am in P4 and was surprised by the very evil scale today. I hope tomorrow is a good drop. I think next time I will do an egg day or a chicken thigh day. Does anyone have a correction day they prefer? I was not hungry this morning, and since it is 4:20 I am in too deep! Dinner will be at 5:00 today.

It's kind of funny, people are use to me being unflappable and good humored. Today is my quiet day....

How is everyone doing? Good weather to do a round in the heat!

    I will read back.

    Wishing everyone a great evening/tomorrow!

Steak Days no longer work for me due to slow digestion (I basically stay the same weight the next day). But what works well for me is a "Grilled Chicken Salad" Day. I do it the same as I would a steak day where I just have coffee, tea, and water all day, then for dinner at around 4:00PM, I'll grill 8-12 oz of chicken breast meat which is cut into strips and served over lettuce (any variety) and tomato salad. I don't eat salad dressing, so not sure if that would have any effect. I usually lose 2-3 lb. with this method.
