StarbucksÖ RediWhip is not on any official P3 food list that I know of, but itís mostly air. So it is my secret little guilty cheat that seems to be OK In P3 and in a pinch, even in P2!

You are switching from T-Mobile to Verizon? I just switched the other way. And so far Iím wondering where is this wonderful coverage theyíve been talking about?

I canít text from my CarPlay, my map doesnít work in the car, I couldnít Google how many calories in something from inside the grocery store, and I tried to call my nephew from across the table at red Robin last night and I the call didnít go through. The cost is a LOT lower but how much am I saving when I canít actually use my phone much?

    Eeeeeeeek

Hello everyone - I am joining in for another round. I am terrible at staying active on here, though! VLCD 1 tomorrow. It looks like most of you are in P3 or P4. Charlie - you look so good! I wish you much luck in P3! All of you are doing so well. I've been reading up the past little bit getting ready to start and I've been very impressed with how well you all have done.
    Off to bed!

Happy Weekend Everyone! Summer is here, it is to be blazing hot here today, in the 90's, so I plan to get my hair trimmed, and then work inside house where it is air conditioned! Tomorrow is only to be in 80's, so I may go to pool for a bit. Yesterday I went and did some water exercises, so much easier on my knee and hips to do in water--so will likely go tomorrow again and try for more. Welcome to any newbies, either on this thread or the Juneies thread! A lot of us did just get to P3 or just arriving at P4. I'm actually on day 14 of P3, so have another week to go, and only off P2 for 13 days, so the challenges and rewards of P2 are fresh in mind. Good luck to all P2ers, and any out there reading, feel free to jump in at any time, on this or the Juneies thread!

It's a little early for some to post yet, but I thought I'd get on early. My weigh-in this morning was pretty good. Since I had no wiggle room upon transition to p3 I've fought fears of stablizing at my last dose weight, and staying in the 2 lb window--but things have not been that bad. Haven't gone over the 2 lb window ever, but right there a day or two. Things have now settled in and this morning I'm actually weighing below LDW, by .6 lb (down .8 from yesterday morning's weigh in) This morning weighed 163.0 exactly Happy. Yesterday I did add Fage yogurt, had quite a large serving (well 2 servings at different times) of the 5% Fage which is called full fat I think. I added stevia for sweetener, some whipping cream, and cocoa--trying to make into a pudding like yogurt. It really needed to be sweeter, and a different sweetner may've done the trick (like xylitol) but I wasn't sure we were to have that in P3? so stuck with Stevia. Anyway, was curious how I would respond to the yogurt, and no gain. So guess not sensitive to yogurt, unless a gain happens tomorrow. Nothing much exciting going on here today--will be watering plants on patio and porch, and if DH will help, hang some new drapes in a bedroom I have had pressed and ready to go for a week now. Fingers crossed he'll help me today.

Polly, haven't heard in a couple of days about the girls, are they both feeling ok now? I may have missed an update, and sorry if I did. Charlie, hope you have a good trip with your friend. Awesome that you all are surprising her.
Several on thread have been gone this week, Phoebe with son's wedding--doubt she is thinking about us, and she isn't, that everything is going well. Another on trip to Costa Rica--hope to hear from both soon. Have a good day everyone.

My little old lady Schnauzers are moving a little slow, and sleeping a lot, but out of immediate danger, I think. Neither is eating much, and my sweet Penny still dealing w issues of her tracheaÖ today I can tell she is a little hungry but not willing to cough and choke eating. She will take something from my hand but drop it on the floor. This is hard.

Dubs, if Iím wrong, hope others will chime in, but I donít think Dr. S put any restrictions on what kind of artificial sweeteners to use in any phase. There werenít any! Stevia was what most people used when I first started on this Forum 8 yrs ago, but there are a lot more choices now days.

Maltodextrin is in a lot of sugar free candies, and one or two can be ok, but it can cause dire bathroom problems! Also, its made from corn and rice starch.
I think there are variations on the name, but I figure better to stay away from anything starting with MAL ó French for BAD.

Off to a new book club. I was invited last year but kept forgetting to read the book! I listened to this one while driving. So Iím pumped!

    Welcome coffeegirl!

Dubbles, yes, xylitol is fine in P3 though I find stevia to be sweeter.

Polly, so hard to see our animals suffer.

AFM, well, I thought I'd be down and I am actually above LDW by 1.2 pounds. Cracked my brain and realized that the flourless cake someone made for a small gathering was made with coconut. I could have known as it is such a common ingredient in homebaked treats that don't use conventional ingredients. Gah.

I am technically not above LDW but my weight has been stable around 165 so this is 2.6 over that so now I am not sure.

    DARN COCONUT.

MrsS, I also figured out coconut was a no go for me. I can NOT do coconut fat bombs, or most coconut oils in bullet proof coffee or cooking. I cook with avocado oil, skip the fat bombs and found a ďrefinedĒ coconut oil for BPC, but sort if gave up coffee anyway.

You are not over LDW, so relax. You know its a sensitivity inflammation. Drink lots of water, maybe some turmeric tea, and see what tomorrow brings!

Congrats for staying in your window!

It is all water. How I know? I am sweating profusely today. LOL
I am not stressed about it but I just wasnít sure what to do with regards to my LDW. So, like you say, this inflammation weight will come off as it already seems to be. So crazy!

Mrs Strong, I hear you about wondering if you should correct since you have been running well below LIW. But because you know what the problem is, you also know the solution....flush out the inflammation with water and other detoxers.

You might try grammy's inflammation smoothie as your last meal today, and add in some cilantro if you have it...its an herbal diuretic and can help unlock some of that extra fluid in your tissues. Also by having the smoothie as your last meal, it gives your body a long stretch of time to resolve the edema before your weigh in tomorrow.

LadiesÖ.the queen of sabotage is back. I got into the almond butter last night and was up 1.2. I am going to do an experimental steak day today and bring it back down to go into a proper P3 tomorrow. I sat there eating a few spoonfuls last night telling myself not to and I did it. I will throw it away so itís out of the house.

I am going to babysit my niece and nephews while my nephew graduates. Stupid Covid. Kid is amazing and is attending the honors college at University of Oregon. He received three private scholarships as well. Proud of him!!

Leez is right about that inflammation smoothie and o might do one tonight or tomorrow!!

Donít throw out the almond butter, Star! Just put it in the back of the fridge behind the baking soda and mustard. You can have it. In Week 2 P3, probably.

I did the same dang thing my last transition dayó only with peanut butter! Something about going off hcg makes me HANGRY and I donít care!!!

But now I either take a REASONABLE portion out before I start or mark on the container how far I should probably go.

Treat it like inflammation. Itíll be fine.
