I've read that Chik Filet brines their chicken in pickle juice. Maybe its sweet pickle juice?

You can pretty much count on restaurant chicken brines to have added sugar.

My dear Dubs, my balanced attitude on ups and downs only lasts while I am down or even! As soon as I see an UP, Iíll be moaning, complaining and cussing with the best of them!

Iím below LDW right now so will
try the banana/mango ďice creamĒ tonight. I have a keto bread recipe I want to try but its lots of eggs and some almond flour. Not sure about it yet.

I have not tried the cauliflower tortillas or wraps or whatever yet. I am not a great fan of cauliflower, tho I will use it riced in stew instead of potatoes and the like.

So instead I have been enjoying Crystal Farms Cheese Wraps. The size of a small tortilla, just cheese cut very thin. Iíve found them in Mozzarella and in Colby Jack. 1 carb each and tastes likeÖ wait for it Ö. Cheese. Easy to make a sandwich or two. I tried with warm taco meat and they melt! Tasted great but messy. Still!

Pearl is eating today, but Penny not so much. Up and around, shivers her tail at me which is her way of smiling, but moving slow and sleeping a lot. Seems fairly comfortable, so thatís all I can ask.

    Onward!
    P

I believe you are right on this. I once heard McDonald's rinses their lettuce with sugar water. I'm not sure about that, but I think the entire food industry has conspired to get us addicted to sugar, however they can. So we want more, more, more.

Thanks for sharing! I see they have it at my local Publix. I can't wait to try it!

I LOVE their maple bacon flavor, especially in the fall/winter! I didn't know they had key lime pie flavor. I'll have to check it out. Sounds great for this time of year and it would probably be great with Coco's sugar free whipped topping. Lately I've been drinking a wild huckleberry flavor that I found on amazon.

Dubbles: “Hope everyone had a good weekend, a new week about to begin. Oh, weight was up to 163.8 this morning, so .02 abov last dose weight. But was out today, came home and weighed about 2 o'clock and weight was 162.6, which is a lb below last dose weight, and lower than this morning.”

Dubbles, You did really well losing your weight, I sure hope I lose at least 20 lbs. this time. If you don’t mind me asking, what was your beginning weight back in January when we started the first time? I thought it was somewhere close to my starting weight of 208? If it was then you have had almost a 40 lb.loss. That is amazing!!!!!!
My medications that I am taking for hypothyroidism is Cytomel.

Jan 2021, Round 3, starting weight 208 lbs., last dosage weight 188 lbs.

My body hates cool whip - it's one of the most fake manufactured products ever - it doesn't even contain any real milk or cream.

I know I didnít get enough calories in today. Not enough protein, not enough food. At about 5 oíclock I entered my food into the tracker and had 675 cal. So I ate High fat stuff I didnít really want , Pork rinds and sour cream dip, a few ounces of chicken using blue cheese dressing to zip it up and got up to almost 1200. I just couldnít think of anything I wanted to eat! Bleh!

Mostly I just didnít feel like cooking.

Yesterday I thought I didnít eat enough and tracked my food at about 7 oíclock and thought I had about 700 cal. But when I got everything in the tracker I was closer to 1700.

I am not good at tracking in my head! I forget the little sides and MISC.. Like cooking my egg in a spoonful of butter, or sticking some avocado into a turkey sandwich made with one of those cheese wraps.

I did make the banana mango ice cream (which was included in the 675!) in my Yo-nana machine but will have to work on the recipe. It is just a banana and some frozen mango chunks, and I didnít get the ratio right so it just was basically banana. The frozen in a bag mangoes didnít have much zing.

I need to get calories in in the morning or I donít make it.

Just when I thought I could stop obsessing about calories because I was figuring it out, I have two days in a row where I had no clue!

I am trying to do my best during the day and then just double check the calories late afternoon or early evening to make sure I have enough. If I rely on the tracker every minute of the dayÖ Yeah I donít wanna do that.

I didnít mean to start ready whip wars!

    Onward ho!

Good morning Deanna Jane, hope your weekend went well, and this morning's weigh in was good to you.

You are right, we started at almost exactly the same weight--I was at 207 for day 1 of p2. So I have lost approx 43/44 lbs this year. Now it has been since January 9, 2021--now June 14, almost 5 full months. Averages out to approx 9 (not quite) lbs a month. But the losses were much more compact, in less time because much of that time was spent in maintenance, Planned Interruptions and P3's. Probably only dedicated a week or so into a p4 protocol as I would cycle back to P3. The most amazing part of it all is that it HAS helped me reset the calories I am able to eat and not gain weight. Think the key to most all of us, in gaining weight, could probably revolve around one ingredient--processed sugar. I really tried to read ingredients and keep sugars off the diet/life style. And I used to eat A LOT of sugar. This is an ongoing process, as all of us know. Going back to eating like I used to would definitely result in regain of lbs. When I can have fats in my diet, I don't miss sugar so much. But when on P2 and the fats are limited--I definitely miss them. Have to confess, I still have a somewhat sweet tooth, as I never, even on P2 gave up artificial sweeteners, stevia or splenda. I know not good for you, but I just choose not to live my life depriving myself of some sweetness, even if artifical, and prob not good for me. So, yes, you are right, we started out at same place. I know your first round was difficult, finding your sweet spot, handling hunger or possible immunity issues. So glad you seem to have not be experiencing that this round. You've got this. Good luck on the goal to lose 20 lbs this round!

AFM: This morning I weighed in at 163.8, exact same as yesterday. I was happy with that as last night I just felt I might be up this morning. I tend to over season my food, and yesterday had a couple of pieces of leftover orange roughyy that was HIGHLY (too highly) seasoned, was afraid it would cause water retention this morning. But all went well. Have this week left to complete 3 weeks of P3. Will be starting P4 on Sunday. May be starting slightly earlier as will be going out to dinner Friday and to a party with food and drink on Saturday. Concerned about all that. I'm not unhappy about how I look now, but I do think another 10 lbs might be a little better on the charts. I hope to be mentally on board to do one more short round in the middle of August, before all the tail gating/football season starts. I plan on continuing to post on theads, to encourage others and to keep myself motivated and accountable.

I don't think my body reacts badly to cool whip, but definitely agree with you on the fake ingredients in the product. So gonna avoid as much as possible. And definitely plan on looking into that Land-o-Lakes whipped topping product. Thanks for letting us know what to look for. Love hearing about new products to try.

Polly, I do the same thing. I often write in a diary what I am eating for breakfast, lunch--snacks, then in late afternoon estimate approx. calories to see where I stand for dinner, and maybe late snack. When you factor in the mayo in dips, or added cream in coffee or protein shakes, it helps to get the calories up. I am so afraid to not eat enough calories, maybe then causing the hold on to calories, causing creep upwards, but I generally make it to about 1600-1700 daily--maybe more as I am estimating most of the time. You mentioned the frozen mango was kinda blah--I purchase a bag of frozen strawberries on p2 this year, and I found the same thing true of the strawberries. Fortunately, you can purchase strawberries pretty much year around. But nothing like fresh, even vine ripened fruit (those you pick yourself----beyond yummy). You mention you couldn't think of anything else you might like to eat , I kinda have that problem sometime. I really need to branch out with foods. I haven't really added lots of cheeses, just a sprinkling on my salads. And I haven't added any nuts , except for sugar free peanut butter. Almonds, I think, may be a sensitive food for me--or I just have no portion control with them. You're now on P4, have you added any nuts to your diet? They can up that calorie count really quickly. You strike me, I have you pictured as a little tiny person, so I guess getting the calories up might be difficult sometime. Can't imagine weighing 130 lbs again. Say hi to little ladies from my Sophie and Ozzy.

Lovely Losers 2021-Just JOVIAL in JUNEl!!

Iím down 1.4 from LDW. Losses Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sunday. Not sure thatís a good thing. Itís not like hcg losses that take Abnormal fat from those places you want gone. Seems like itís water losses that make my arms and legs look scrawny! I think it is heat and yard work.

I havenít been super careful with water so will try to watch that. Itís not that 129 isnít tempting to see, but people have been saying Youíre really skinny and not in a good way. I am happy in the 130 pound and will get back there.

A pound is not a big deal, up or down. A difference that makes no difference. But I donít want to get get obsessed with lower, lower, lower.

Dubs, Iím not tiny, Iím smallish. 5í4 but w small bones ó wear a size 4 ringó and no booty or bosom. The average height for American women is 5í4 and weight was 154. Been there! Some sources now say average is 174. Been there, too! But I feel better, more energy, breathe better at 130ish. Thatís just me. I was 112-115 in High school and was not Model /cheerleader Thin.

I have an artichoke, mayo, parm cheese hot casserole that has a zillion calories and makes a good filler for that ďempty spotĒ on the plate where the Starch serving used to go. I need to make that.

Whoo hoo for the P2ers. More will come!

    P.

PS peaches should be here soon. I will freeze som and try those with Yo-nana ice cream.

PPS: Penny surprised me by eating a lot last night!
