A lot of that gain is from water retention nd probably sensitivities to certain foods--if you get on top of it right now, I'm sure it will go down like our load weight does So don't despair, just back on task. I know what you mean tho about sugar, I just don't have control once I get started -- I have to talk to myself as soon as I walk in the grocery store-every time- tell myself I don't eat that junk anymore, because it is everywhere in the grocery, before you walk in the store proper! No wonder so many of us have weight issues. And I fight it everytime. I just hope those cravings will someday go away so that I don't even notice those foods. When my husband stopped drinking (and he HAD to stop) he craved sugar a lot--he would eat a half gallon of ice cream every other day. So there is that too. It is certainly a marathon and not a sprint, but you can do this, if you want. You look great, but I know those feelings of no control are unsettling. So hoping a few weeks in p2 will allow you to reset? Hope your day today is going well
Lmao!! I donít think I quite ate that many but close. All of the donít eat these foods! I did a food sensitivity test with everlywell so I hope that it returns some good info. Who knows.
Back on track today and feeling good. Itís so hot here and we donít have AC so thatís always fun! I am not super hungry when itís hot so bonus Lovely Losers 2021-Just JOVIAL in JUNEl!!

WHOA tomorrow I start P4. That went fast. I don't plan on anything yet as I still have to see what my weight is in the morning. I think if all is well, I may try some blue corn chips this week!

Lovely Losers 2021-Just JOVIAL in JUNEl!!

So fun to hear everyone doing so well. Funny that this is a thread so full of P3ers but wonderful, too. Many do P2 but either drop off the thread in P3 or never stick to
P2 long enough to get to P3. So, you are all AWESOME!

I baked a big cookie sheet of chicken breasts to have on hand, and added 10 chicken wings, no breading or sauce, and YUM. Used blue cheese dressing as a dip and a side of Roasted veggies.

Nothing special about the veggies other than I oven roasted them with the chicken while mowing the yard. My neighbors may think Iím nuts. Mow five minutes, run into the house to check on my cooking. Mow ten minutes, empty the mower bag, then drop it and run into the house again. Haha. Worth it!!!

I carefully measured out the blue cheese dressing, but ran out of wings before running out of dressing, so now I have to figure out how much is left. Sheesh. I hope Iím figuring all this out so I donít have to do this forever!

However, I figured the almond butter out. I weighed the whole jar, ate all I wanted, then weighed it again. Lol.

On and on and on... ward!

mrsstrong, good luck on p4! Glad you keep us posted.

PearlyMae,I have chicken in the fridge, I need to to ahead and cook up today, so it won't go bad--was going to have DH do on grill Monday, but he just did the steak. It's raining here today, maybe I'll have him do on grill anyway. When I am doing chicken breasts in oven, seems they come out a little dry. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Not so dry on Geo Forman grill, but the chicken breasts I purchased are pretty big, think it would take a while on the Foreman grill. I'm like you want already prepared so I don't have to cook and mess up kitchen every day. Hope the girls are ok this morning.

AFM: I continue to weigh in earlier, almost an hour earlier than I was weighing in--the dogs are waking me up earlier, so I guess I might as well just take it from here and stop making excuses for upticks due to timing. This morning up a full pound. But still 1.2 below window. Still don't like uptick. Tried to identify what was different yesterday, had sausage for breakfast, per usual--planned on cooking fish for my dinner, but just wanted something quick, so had salad, with dressing, cheese and bacon bits and 3 sausage patties for dinner too! For snack yesterday, I did have 1 cauliflower roll (like a bun) with peanut butter on it, and also had yesterday some gouda dip on a few plantain chips. Could've been one of those things, or could've just been extra food intake over past couple of days. Either way, only .8 above last dose weight, so not sweating. I'd like to drop back down a bit, so will be mindful of eating and snacks today--but do not want to restrict calories, definitely want to keep calories around 1600-1800 calories today Hope everyone is getting back to normal, and enjoying this short week. Will check in later.

    P4 Day 1

Well, here I am, in P4 again. Last round I thought I'd not worry about carbs and just eat normal but it didn't work. I have no satiation, cues or otherwise, on carbs. I don't think I will try again. What I do plan on doing is just have some things like corn chips, a few bites of dessert, etc. on occasion. Today is my youngest's birthday (turns 15 ) and I'll have a few bites of cheesecake. I think doing it this way will allow some freedom and some boundaries.

I am weighing in at 165 this morning so this was a pretty perfect P3, especially after 5 days of guests and eating out and having drinks.

Dubbles, any fluctuation like that is normal and while it makes us nervous, there is nothing wrong with it. I think this has been my lesson this P3. I had a couple of days wih a pound jump. Those days evened out pretty quickly and now I feel I can trust my body where it is at. I am not actively trying to go lower in case I go up just in case. If I were to go up significantly, I would still want to know what caused the jump even if under LDW, but anything less, I am not worried. If I were to go up however so slowly, I would also look at food issues, but otherwise, I am letting go. It makes it really hard to maintain for me if I hyperfocus on the fluctuations, and I think (hope?) this is the freedom of the hcg reset. I just pray it is the same for me in P4, knowing that having some carbs increases water retention naturally.

Off the water the yard before the heat hits here!

Strong- welcome to P4 girlfriend! Congrats to a successful P3!

Dubbs- my weight will go up a lb or more for no reason. It drives me crazy too but I think some of this must be completely normal.

.2 above LDW this morning. Very happy with where I’m at. Enjoying eating carbs but being very selective and mindful when I do. We leave for our big family vacay on Sunday. We are going to Costa Rica so it’s a big trip for us and out 3 kids. I’m very happy I will be week 4 of P4 so I won’t feel like I have be SO careful. I look forward to enjoying myself but hopefully being able to practice moderation and mindfulness eating. I’m also rethinking my strategy upon return. If you recall, I had planned on doing a super short, like week long, round to get any gain quickly back off (this is totally non protocol). Now I’m thinking I may not have it in me to do even 1 week of P2, so I’m thinking I may immediately do a 1 day fast upon return and just see where I am.

    Good Morning Lovelies,

Well I was very hungry all day yesterday and today I am not hungry, but I AM UP 3 pounds past my LDW!!!! I ate late and maybe the bathroom will help me more, but I am going to do a steak day I think. Gosh I am so bummed to be here already!

Tomorrow I am going for an overnight Thursday to Friday vacation close by with DH, so I was going to be careful in P3, but now this! UGh!!!!! Oh gosh I feel nervous. It is P3 day 4 i think?

At least I am not hungry!

Did anyone else have these issues in week one of P3? Maybe I ate too much and ate late?

    Have a great day!

Lovely Losers 2021-Just JOVIAL in JUNEl!!

Iím reading all those deep into P3 and P4 and realizing I Never, in 11 years and too many rounds of HCG, felt like I was stable and my metabolism reset.

I was ALWAYS fighting creep. Then when I was 7-8 pounds up with correction days not having any effect, Iíd either give up and start on my Gateway Drug (Oreos), or do a round 3 times a year. Once I tracked my weight every single day for an entire year, and gained 102 pounds, going up
2, 1, 3 etc. and lost 102 pounds, 2,1, 3. Etc. So, stayed within 5 pounds of LDW, but Worked at it constantly.

But! I do think I ate almost NOTHING in retrospect. I know how to eyeball 3 ounces of chicken or beef. I know how to go without buns, toast, pizza crust.
But I have no idea how 6 ounces of chicken looks, or a full cup of cottage cheese rather than 1/3.
I adore cheese, but learned to use it as a condiment, and only keep ďcookingĒ cheeses on hand. I can be happy with 2 bites of cake, but if I could live on potato chips and cheese, I would. But somehow subbing pork rinds was yucky.

In other words, I never figured out how to eat on P4.

Iím a work in progress. Slow progress!

Pearlie Mae is better, barely limping. I think she just turned her ankle somehow and it is getting back on her feet ó pawsóafter resting a few days.

Penny and I had a hard night. She was wheezing so hard I thought I was losing her. I wrapped us both up in a blanket and rocked her around 2 a.m. until she relaxed and fell asleep. After moving her ďdonutĒ bed so I could keep my hand on her, I fell asleep, too. She seems to be breathing a bit more easily this morning but still not eating. I called the vet but no openings yet. I will keep giving her antibiotic.

And she is mad at me. She trusts me to take care of her and doesnít understand why I donít fix this!

    Onward.

PearlyMae, Your paragraph about your girls is all I can think about. All us dog lovers out here are hurting for Miss Penny and you. I know exactly what you mean, when Ozzy was sick for 2 days recently, throwing up non-stop (they hydrated him iv at vet next day, I was up all night and my girl Sophie kept looking at me, like why aren't you making him better? So sorry she and you are having a difficult time. On another note, I think it is wonderful when p4 people check in, so many times after p2 we don't hear from people again. And figuring out maintenance for life is the Hardest part! But I understand people get busy, and frankly, I think sometimes we just get tired of the constant attention required to maintain, like you said up 1, then 2, then down....it can get tedious. I worry that if I don't check in I won't stay accountable to even myself! Such a work in progress, for sure. I AM DETERMINED to keep to plan and not starve myself into losing 2/3 lbs anymore. And to maintain will prob require me giving up lots of carbs and goodies I love for forever. Onward as you say.

Thanks for keeping us posted in p4, please. Your p3, you planned interruption and road trip--all were very motivating for us reading. Curious how carb increase is going to go for you. I plan on doing a proper p4 after a month of p3. It has been raining here all day and supposed to tomorrow, love it when it rains, and saves me time of watering all the plants! Keep up all your good work, and you absolutely did great, with 5 days of guests!
