Dubbs- my weight will go up a lb or more for no reason. It drives me crazy too but I think some of this must be completely normal.

.2 above LDW this morning. Very happy with where I’m at. Enjoying eating carbs but being very selective and mindful when I do. We leave for our big family vacay on Sunday. We are going to Costa Rica so it’s a big trip for us and out 3 kids. I’m very happy I will be week 4 of P4 so I won’t feel like I have be SO careful. I look forward to enjoying myself but hopefully being able to practice moderation and mindfulness eating. I’m also rethinking my strategy upon return. If you recall, I had planned on doing a super short, like week long, round to get any gain quickly back off (this is totally non protocol). Now I’m thinking I may not have it in me to do even 1 week of P2, so I’m thinking I may immediately do a 1 day fast upon return and just see where I am.
Wow, the whole family to Costa Rica, how exciting. I would think there you would be able to get lots of fresh seafood and ripe fruits. I get you bout not wanting to do even a week of p2 when you get back. I don't think I'll be ready for another week for quite a while myself, not till end of August or September--been at this religiously since January. Ready to eat with friends and family for a while. You may surprise yourself and not have much of a gain, I expect you will be quite active too, with being on beach, sightseeing, and prob eating healthy foods! Most importantly, be mindful and live in the moment, of enjoyment of family, making memories!

rk,P3 can be tricky for sure. I am on p3 day 4 too--and last night went up 1 lb. I have no idea why, but I'm watching closely today, still want to keep my calories up. I've never done a steak day proper, mainly because I am not one to hold off eating all day. Let us know if that is what you decided and how it went. I prefer to correct with maybe all day protein. But I don't think I have ever lost like 2/3 lb in one day, like some do with their steak days. Don't get discouraged, bet you have a drop tomorrow at weigh in. Fingers crossed for you.

Starbucks/ Charlie, you are going in the right direction! Good for you. I remember when I had a cheat meal this year and i picked up a little over 2 lbs, it took me 4 days to lose it! Sometimes those drops are stubborn. But down is down. Love that your son makes you laugh everyday. That is awesome With 5 boys, my daughter shares things they say almost daily and they can be so funny, I told her she needs to write it all down so she can remind them later! They can also be very tiring! You are goingh in the right direction, just keep it up! Hugs!

Hi! Just read back and playing a little catch up with everyone.

Pearly.... I am so sorry about your pups!! It is the hardest thing when they aren't well!! I hope they both feel better real soon!!

Dubbs.. we are on the same day and I think we are both doing about the same, although my 2# advantage went away in 2 days!! Today I am over my LDW by .5. I honestly am not sure what it could be, or maybe it's just having way more food in my system... not sure and all I care about right now it that my dress will still zip up!! I go pick it up from the tailor today...crossing my fingers!! So far today I have had greek yogurt with blueberries, and two hard boiled eggs with mayo (egg salad) and my gut feels stuffed! I really need to try and get the water down today. Your husband reminds me of mine... the ice-cream... the entire pizza.... the golf.... We have our own construction company so he is always active outdoors everyday... so he can get away with all the food.

Strong.... thanks for sharing your journey!! I hope I have a pretty perfect p3 also... but I have a feeling it's gonna be a struggle!!

Starbucks ~ you've got this!! I bet it will take less then a week to get down to 150!!

Rkthin ~ Looks like you are on the same p3 day as Dubbs and myself. All I know is I have been going up up up with everydays weighin.... and I am super nervous as well!! We've got this though...just gotta trust the process and hopefully your overage will come down with a steak day!! Best of luck!! And have a fun get a way!

JGD ~ Have a blast on your vacation!! Sounds like you are in a good place!! Congrats!!

Well.. today I was up .5#'s, which puts me .5#'s above my LDW. So much for the wiggle room, but I guess I an thankful that I had it!!

    I'll check in later.

Phoebe, at least you had some wiggle room, me not so much! Ha. Heh, about the husbands, we also have our own construction company! Ha! He is active, meeting with people and running the jobs, but he doesn't do the physical work so much anymore. We have more in common than you even thought! Good luck with dress from tailor! Do you leave this weekend?

Hello all you Lovelies (and Lads)!

I haven’t checked in for a while, but follow the forums almost every day. It is so encouraging to see all of your victories and revelations on how to keep the weight off. I can’t do personals, but congrats to each and every one of you for losing, taking PIs, and maintaining. We must all find a way to make this work for us, our bodies and circumstances. Pat yourselves on the back!

AFM: I am now in 3 Ĺ months into “life between rounds”. Am enjoying P3 eating mostly with a few forays into more starches/carbs, but have cut sugar out of my life completely. I don’t miss it at all. Happy to report that I have stabilized at about 0.5 above my window. Rather than fight that little bit, I’ll just adjust my LDW if I need to later. I seem to just bounce around about a pound or so from day to day. It’s all good.

Really enjoyed all of the doggy, kitty and Hambone pictures. (Pearly, thinking of your girls. Hope they’re feeling better soon.) I don’t have pictures of our 3 kitties, but should try and take some again. Let me tell, you, taking pictures of a black cat is Really hard. If you get them in good light, they squint and you can’t see their eyes… sigh. Really not much new to report from here. I guess that’s a good thing?

Anyway, hope everyone has a nice rest of the week.

    Take care all!

Hi Dubbs!! Wow, that is funny!! My husband does the physical work still all of the time. He just can't not do it... we do parks and playgrounds, mainly commercial playground installatoins. He is 57 years old though so not sure how much longer he will be able to do it. He has to just let it go and let the guys do all the work...it's hard for him. We fly out on Tuesday, Wedding is on Sunday the 13th. (The venue was 1/2 off on a Sunday) *dress still zips up, thank goodness, and now I'm not tripping on it, which is good.

Very nice! Enjoy your trip! Sounds awesome!

You'll most likely easily come back down if you gained a little. Normal eating at home does that.

Started reading up on everyone but can't keep my eyes open so it will have to wait till tomorrow.

The cheesecake was delicious and I was completely fine to have a few bites only! Kid wanted Chinese for dinner though so we'll see what tomorrow brings. I dislike Chinese food very much. One dish was WAY too salty so I had just a couple of bites, and the other was just shrimp (which they called prawns but really, there should be rules about that) and steamed veggies but it was also salty even if less so. If I jump in weight I am going to blame the slat over the cheesecake.

See you all when I wake up and can catch up. First day with a completely empty agenda! Woot!

    Hey everyone!
I had to take a few days off from posting, now I'm back to report day 19 of phase 3, holding steady at .8 above ldw. Still seeing some lovely reshaping mostly around my waist, trunk and food baby going away. Weight has been bopping up and down within the window and a couple days outside the window here and there but I didn't do a correction day for those extra ounces.

Still enjoying the plantain chips and yesterday I had a piece or three of Lilys chocolate. Sea salt and caramel. Boy that is good stuff. Those are the only foods I've added that are new to me. As I get closer to p4, I'd like to test the cauliflower bread - I just need to find some.

Good morning everyone, have to be brief. Already after 8 am and I need to get dressed and drop dogs off at daycare for playtime today, it's good for their socilization and they are exhausted when they get home. Yay. Win-win!

Looks like everyone is doing well, seems everyone has ups and downs with oz. or even a lb or so but close to LDWS, or under LDWs. I'm doing the same, but seems I am only going in 1 direction, but still within my 2 b window, but only by .6. Unfortunately had no wiggle room on window. I was up .4 this morning, not sure what I am doing wrong, but still no correction day. Think I will today concentrate on drinking lots of water. It's a constant struggle both mentally and physically. Thing is, I'm not often that hungry, could prob even eat a little less, but I do not want to reset and go back to eating 1000-1200 calories a day to maintain, kwim? Will check bak later, hope everyone enjoys their day, has some fun, and is mindful, grateful, and joyful thruout the day! Still thinking about PearlyMae's girls.

Well I tried to post from my phone but somehow it didn't post. Just a quick check in. I am up .2 today, not sure exctly why... I did eat an apple, strawberries and almost the entire container I had of blackberries... man were they good. But other then that, I ate pretty much on plan. Did have some cheese and yogurt so maybe I am experiencing a little bit of something from that. Oh well... I guess I just really need to be mindful of what I eat. Today is a new day!

Heading down to to my moms and today my daughter and pup are going too. I am looking forward to starting a new round in July and I am possibly going to use up the rest of my hcg that I still have mixed when I return from my son's wedding....though there will be some tough days to diet when I return, my daughters birthday, fathers day, my brother is having a party for his Mother n law who is finally able to return to Brazil, and my son and his new wife will be spending about a week with us after they get back from their honeymoon... so we shall see... I just hope I don't go way up from being out of town next week.

Today is a great day to have a great day!!

Good morning! It IS a great day to have a great day. We are finally experiencing spring here, with temps in the 70s, and rain has finally stopped.

Penny is up and about and eating a little. Iíve had her on antibiotics for six days now, and I think theyíre finally starting to kick in.
She is not looking quite as HangDog as she was.

OK everybody, I was, as usual, trepidatious about weighing this morning. I worked in my garden planting flowers for about four hours yesterday. I am stiff and moving slowly. Actually Iím proud of myself that Iím moving at all!

But Iím actually down .6. Back in the 130 number that I love so much, and just .2 over my LDW.

I got all my calories in just short of 1800, but was not feeling up to cooking so I freely admit I had pork rinds and sour cream dip for supper. Lol. Not my idea of a healthy meal! I waited about two hours and had raspberries and Redi Whip. Berries are so good this time of year, they are a real treat.

So the point is not that anyone had the wrong foods if they were eating fruit, or too much food, or even two bites of cheesecake. Iím seeing that eating enough food is more important than scarcity.

Iíve been doing scarcity all my life. It hasnít worked for me. Now, who knows if this will continue. But so far this is the most stable Iíve ever been in a P3, Without starving myself.

    Whoo hoo! Onward!
