Happy Saturday everyone!! I don't have the time right now to respond to everyone but hang in there if the scale didn't behave for you this morning and yay if it did!!

As for me, I am up .8 this morning, down .9 yesterday, up .8 today. I was being a bit more brave with my food intake yesterday, last night I even had a couple of small handfuls of trail mix... the kind with the m&m's and raisins... yeah... I ate the m&ms, maybe 4 total, didn't go overboard! I also had one of the outer asile breads, not sure I am a fan yet.. but it was nice to have a vehicle for a half a sandwich.

Well... super busy weekend. I hope everyone is well!!

    Currently .6#'s above ldw.

I am sore, worked out hard yesterday to the point that I needed a spotter for my bench press for the last press of each round, worked in the yard and got sunburned, got dehydrated, and I had two potatoes. *crickets* Same weight.

Well, today I had a slice of Dutch ontbijtkoek with butter. It is kind of like a compact gingerbread cake. And not as sweet as American baked goods. I bought two Dutch treats for Christmas that I completely forgot so we are eating them now. The other treat is an almond-paste-filled pastry that I will probably skip. It is sweeter and something tells me that it may be too sweet for me.

Yvonne, DivineMissM, if you see this: for some reason, I am thinking of you and hope you are well.

    Have a great weekend all!
Wait... P4D4 - same weight for 4 days... Isn't that what we are trying to achieve? Sounds like stabilization to me!

Lol. And here I have been preaching that fluctuation is normal.

It is btw. I am just not fluctuating right now!

Thanks for sharing your story LinderLou--the aches and pains of arthritis is a *****, no other word for it I have bone on bone on left knee, and it does hampter exercise. They say exercise helps, but man, somedays it just hurts too bad I admire all these ladies doing all these really intense workouts, but I just don't seem to have the drive to push as much anymore. I remember exercising like crazy back in 2010/2011 when I first did hcg, but that seems a long time ago. Some days are good, and some days worse than others. As far as hips go, was the hip surgery very difficult to rehab. Don't need now, but you never know. I think even the knee surgery is not as bad as it used to be. but doc says, not ready for it yet.I really enjoyed hearing your story, so thanks.

And I agree with you regarding mrsstrong's same weight on p4 for 4 days straight, sounds like great stabilization to me! I say that is great! And isn't that weight below your last dose weight, mrsstrong? Good for you

Both of you mention eating only to a certain point, even if leaving some uneaten--that is going to be a challenge for me. I was raised to finish everything on your plate, there are people starving somewhere that would love to have that food, blah blah blah. I am really going to have to work on that, I'm not there yet, dont believe.

Phoebe, up one day, down the next, vice versa--it's part of the game. Most of us don't stablize at exact same weight like mrsstrong seems to be doing. That wedding is just around the corner, sounds like a lot of fun!

And mrsstrong, I'm with you, would love to hear from both Yvonne and MissM--i think Yvonne is prob busy moving, but would love to hear from the both of them. Good job on your stablization!

JGD, I know the frustration of a slow creep up. You may be on to something, stress and lack of sleep could be contributing factors. Main thing now is for you to get packed and be ready for trip tomorrow. What an exciting week for you all! If we don't hear from you at all, we will be thinking of you anyway. Have fun, safe travels!

Yes, it is. 1.4 under. No idea how.

Eating and paying attention has been new for me for sure. I was raised to empty my plate too with the exact same reasoning.

Yes, arthritis is a b***** for sure! I am just happy that I have made it this far! My dad was a total cripple by the time he was 45. Sucked!
Ok. I hate to tell you Dubs, but knee surgery is WAY harder than hips... sorry. Knees bend in so many more ways than a hip... And they bear a lot more weight than hips do because they are lower down on the body. Wishing you the best! You've done a great thing for yourself by losing weight! Trust me! Also completely understand not doing workouts, why make it worse?

As for the surgery, it was awesome! Surgery at 8am and walking by noon! Pretty cool! MrsS had the same thing and I think same results. Certainly beat the previous 6 - 10 months of being incapacitated! Anyway, hoping the best for you on the knee thing... Arthrisitis sucks, but the longer we go before having to have corrective surgery, the better they get at it, right?

So glad, Dubs, that you dropped back today. That’s a good feeling!

JGD, lack of sleep will pop you up every time! You have a busy day, so just eat whatever protein you can today, drink water and maybe hide from everybody and get a little nap in. Bet you leave early tomorrow, too, so you may look like you are up. Take some Me Time and you will be fine. Probably too late to tell ya— you are on your way!

    ——

    9 Hours later…
Well, I have looked like the little guy on the Walk/Don’t Walk sign all day— each arm pointed in different directions and feet stepping high!

My nephew stayed overnight and help me do some house straightening, and then it was off to the vet. They are at a little town up the mountain from here, which used to be an easy 15 to 20 minutes from my old workplace, but now I live on the other end of town and takes almost an hour. Including 3 miles of switchback mountain curves driving.

Penny is sick, beyond trachea thing. Im glad I was giving her antibiotics and I was as right they weren’t strong enough. A saline drip IV, a penicillin shot, amoxicillin Rx, and liver supplements… her liver inflamed from steroids, but by the time We got home, she was amazingly better. I had to make a quick Walmart run and she was dancing at the door when I returned. Prognosis is hopeful.

As for my little Pearlie Mae, she has been hard of listening since she was a pup — Schnauzers are very independent—but I’ve been thinking she was getting hard of hearing, too. Turns out she has an ear infection. Sigh. Two elderly dogs. I might as well have a standing appt at the vet like I do at the groomers. Every 2 weeks.

But AFM, down .4, so under LDW by .2. And reshaping! I’ve never really experienced that phenom. But I seem to be skinnier at 130 than I was at under 125. (I have a pic on my phone of my scale reading 119.6. Must have lasted just long enough to take the pic because I don’t remember it!) but one pair of white denim capris almost fell down when I put my phone in the back pocket! Wore a BELT all day.

Im reading HCG for Life and will share the P3 / P4 advice tomorrow, for what it is worth.

    Onward!!!

Jumping in real quick. I was down two pounds today and was 152.4 so I’m almost back to where I was when I took the PI. If I can get below 150 that would be ideal because of the creep. I like seeing the stabilization for some of the folks on here.

Yep. Outpatient. In and out same day. Really easy recovery imo. Pretty amazing. Thankful for my mobility every day! I was miserable for a decade. Should have done it sooner but I never expected my hips to be bone on bone at 48. Even then the first doctor I saw suggested I waited as long as possible and I was like, why? I'd rather live now and be in a wheelchair at 75 if a revision does not go well than have good hips then and in the meantime ruin the rest of my body and health. Made no sense. Found a doc who totally supported me. And I figure that by the time I need a revision, things will have improved even more.

    Happy Sunday Morning Everyone!

JGD, Safe travels to you and family. Enjoy the trip, the moments with family, making memories. Awesome!

Starbucks, Yay, down 2 lbs! You are doing great! P3 is the real challenge, but you know what needs to be done.

Phoebe, ups and downs, normal. Hope your Sunday weigh-in made you happy. This next week is huge for you and your family. Exciting, fun times! Enjoy.

LinderLou and Mrsstrong, you both are doing so well, stablizing so well, inspirational to all of us. And I have heard several people say they wished they had not waited so long to have their surgeries. I'm with you, get it done and over with. I thought they had even made lots of progress on knee surgeries too, but maybe not. Ugh.

Polly, so so happy Penny felt better after your vet visit. I've had 5 schnauzers in my life--had 3 at one time, so I totally get the "hard of listening" reference, they can be very independent, but they are so cute! Seems like you are very successful at stablization now, and I feel, like you, that a lot of reshaping is going on, in P3. Haven't read or even heard of HCG for life, please share--should we order the book?

AFM: Weigh in this morning was exactly same as yesterday. Still down, exact same weight as yesterday a.m. So .8 above last dose weight. Happy with that. And yesterday, I ate a lot! Had my ususal sausage and coffee with creamer for breakfast, had leftover burger for lunch, for snack had tuna salad with some plantain chips, huge tbone steak with salad and dressing for dinner, and a couple times during day had fresh pineapple. No gain this morning. Amazing, that steak had a lot of calories. Probably need to up my veggie intake, but if I have salad and protein for dinner, I'm too full to need additional vegetable. I love P3! Hope this means I am beginning to stablize. Fingers crossed. Week one of P3 down, and weight was 164.4 today, last dose weight 163.6, It's all good. Like Polly said, my clothes reflect reshaping and inches being lost. i think I look like I weight 10 lb less than I do. That IS good. Hope everyone else has a great Sunday.

    Hiya!

Dubbles said it all! Ditto for me to you each!

Same exact wt as yesterday. Whew. I only got 1200 cals in and 2 meals from Fast Food!

Drove thru McDonald’s to get my nephew hotcakes —my pancake mix was best when used by October 2018 —I got myself a sausage and egg biscuit. We went home and sat outside on the back patio to eat and I enjoyed the sausage and the egg and had no desire for that biscuit. I think that is part of the eating enough advantage, when you’re full of what you’re supposed to be eating, stuff you’re not supposed to be eating is not that attractive!

Lunch was Subway before driving home from the mountain. They have a new protein bowl and it was indeed just Subway vegetables of your choice and I had chunks of rotisserie chicken on top. Red wine vinegar for dressing. All good! Both of those things were even in my tracker to make it easy.

Penny still not eating today. I sort of force fed her some plain yogurt so I could get amoxicillin into her. I’ve taken that stuff on an empty stomach and it’s brutal. It’s a catch 22, she wont eat until she feels better, but wont feel better until she takes the medicine, and can’t take the medicine until she eats!!

I had to go back to April and May threads to figure out where I am in P3. I am officially done with three weeks as of this coming Wednesday. I was thinking I should go an extra week, but then I remembered that the time between rounds always adds onto the P4, not the P3. So thinking probably there’s a reason it’s always three weeks?

And it seems like I never get to P4. I just eat P3 until I hit a snag— and then start over.

Dont buy Hcg for Life yet. Its old— 2011. I’d feel better about it if he had an update in 2013, 2015, 2017 and especially 2021. He does have an interesting take on P4 that I will have to thank God. I said think on! My phone wrote Thank God! Is that a sign??? Lol

He has an add-a-carb system in P4. I skimmed it, and want to go back and read carefully.

    Onward!
