AFM: Weigh in this morning was exactly same as yesterday. Still down, exact same weight as yesterday a.m. So .8 above last dose weight. Happy with that. And yesterday, I ate a lot! Had my ususal sausage and coffee with creamer for breakfast, had leftover burger for lunch, for snack had tuna salad with some plantain chips, huge tbone steak with salad and dressing for dinner, and a couple times during day had fresh pineapple. No gain this morning. Amazing, that steak had a lot of calories. Probably need to up my veggie intake, but if I have salad and protein for dinner, I'm too full to need additional vegetable. I love P3! Hope this means I am beginning to stablize. Fingers crossed. Week one of P3 down, and weight was 164.4 today, last dose weight 163.6, It's all good. Like Polly said, my clothes reflect reshaping and inches being lost. i think I look like I weight 10 lb less than I do. That IS good. Hope everyone else has a great Sunday.
They have made progress. It is just a more complex joint.

Sounds like a good place to be, Dubbles! Keep at it. Don't eat less to lose EVER on this protocol.

    Good Sunday morning!

Pearly ~ I have been in the same boat with trying to get your dog to take medicine!! I used to put it in peanut butter but my Presley girl got so good at eating all the pb and spitting out the pill!! It was hard! A string cheese would do the trick most of the time would just break a piece off and shove the pill into it. Good luck!! Poor Penny girl!! Hope she feels better soon!!

Dubbs, yes... big week ahead and the ups and downs!!

My husband needs a hip replacement and I am glad to hear the recovery is pretty quick! He broke his pelvic and multiple bones in his leg when he was young and it is really starting to affect him know. He has started to limp now...it's time. Plans to call doc after we get back from wedding..

Well, as for me, I am down 1.3#'s today. .7 below LDW. Yesterday I had a few vodka (with zero sugar lemonade) drinks, we had neighbors on our driveway around the fire pit and everyone was drinking wine/beer. I did refrain from the smores and really only ate chicken wings for dinner, which is probably why the drop. I did eat to satisfaction yesterday as a whole though. Had cherries, blackberries and an apple as my fruit/fiber. Chicken salad with celery for lunch and eggs and sausage for breakfast. I can't believe that my 22 year old son will be getting married in one week!! I'm very excited for him, he found a great girl and they really do complete each other!!

Busy, busy around here today. Have a great day everyone!!

Thanks for the welcome! I love reading about everyone's journey!

Today is my first anniversary. Together we have 10 kids (six are mine including a set of triplets--the only ones still at home!). We got married in the middle of a pandemic, sold two homes and made a three-point move to a new house in a new town. Started the triplets at a new school virtually. Got a puppy. It has been quite a year! We're going to celebrate by going for a long walk.

I am having a super successful round, but yesterday was a bit rough. I had a duathlon (run2/bike13/run3. But, since I'm training for a half-Ironman at the end of the month, I added a 20-mile bike to and from the race. It was super hot and I made a lot of mistakes--it's a really long story--that left me dehydrated and overheated. I ended up throwing up a few times, and it wasn't pretty. I'm down 2.0 today, though I'm not sure it counts! lol

mrstrong, looks like we both suffered the effects of the heat yesterday! Also, you said "How come every little thing seemingly affects you in one round or in one phase, and in other rounds, nothing happens." I agree completely. I did a failed round about a year ago and although I didn't "cheat" I just wasn't in it the same way. I ended up losing okay, but I stopped early and never really stabilized. Something about this round just clicked...mentally, physically, emotionally. I have always used the same brand of drops and I loaded the same, so I don't know. But I'd love to know the answer to that question. For me, the mind is a powerful thing!!
    Blessings,
    Nicole

Happy Anniversary Nicole! Wow you have had quite a year, getting married, selling home, new home, new town and quite an athlete! And you have triplets! ng life Exciting Life! Hope today you are feeling better, training in heavy heat, you really need to be careful, but I'm sure you know that already. Good to hear that you feel this round clicked and you are on target mentally, physically, and emotionally. Remind us of how much you have lost already? Seems it was almost 2 lb a day average? Unbelievable. Just noticed your signature, looks like you are on day 13 and have lost 21 lbs! Averaging well over a lb a day--again, WOW. Keep it up, I know you are having outstanding round!

Starbucks, Yay, down 2 lbs! You are doing great! P3 is the real challenge, but you know what needs to be done.

Phoebe, ups and downs, normal. Hope your Sunday weigh-in made you happy. This next week is huge for you and your family. Exciting, fun times! Enjoy.

LinderLou and Mrsstrong, you both are doing so well, stablizing so well, inspirational to all of us. Polly, so so happy Penny felt better after your vet visit. I've had 5 schnauzers in my life--had 3 at one time, so I totally get the "hard of listening" reference, they can be very independent, but they are so cute! Seems like you are very successful at stablization now, and I feel, like you, that a lot of reshaping is going on, in P3. Haven't read or even heard of HCG for life, please share--should we order the book?

AFM: Weigh in this morning was exactly same as yesterday. Still down, exact same weight as yesterday a.m. So .8 above last dose weight. Happy with that. And yesterday, I ate a lot! Woke up at 151.8 so Iím so close to being done and yes P3 is what worries me.

Brett has been out of town and I realized that I forgot to give Bentley his medication for his hips and was so mad at myself. I gave him a pill last night and today but he missed Th/F and I felt terrible. I hope Penny starts to eat!

I canít even imagine a race on this protocol but I do 12-15 mile rides but donít push too hard. Itís my stress relief. Two pounds is amazing and Iím sorry you got dehydrated!! You had quite the year of changed!!

I slept 15 hours and have no idea how but I am refreshed and wondering how Iím gonna sleep tonight. I think I was mentally zapped!

Hope everyone had great drops tomorrow!! Or no gains!

Lovely Losers 2021-Just JOVIAL in JUNEl!!

    Re: hcg for life book.

Iím not sure Iím really impressed. The guy is very enthusiastic, he and his wife have done the protocol several times and wrote a book about it. He basically uses the 2.0 system for P2 so little higher calorie than Original protocol.

In the three weeks of P4, he lets you add one carb food once a day in week one, But a different one every day. You can add two a day but not at the same meal the second week and then two a day at the same meal the third week. You are testing these carbs for sensitivity, too.

His example is you could eventually have toast and oatmeal at breakfast. I noticed his example was not you could have a doughnut and a croissant at breakfast. He does not come out and say these are the ones you can have and these are the ones you canít but you kind of get the idea. He also doesnít say if you could have butter on your toast or peanut butter, and if you canít have those whatís the point?

He does have calories counted and the carbs are not on top of the calories but included and I think carbs are included in the carb count.

He also takes your BMR Or was at BMW? And multiplies it to get your maximum calorie count. For me that would be around 1500. Iím trying to get 1800 but I canít ever make it so heís not completely wrong on that part.

I just donít want to count calories for the rest of my life! I donít mind doing it in P3, as training, and maybe for a while in P4 as I get used to it because obviously Iíve spent the last eight years doing it wrong, but I donít want to set myself up to always counting calories. I want to learn what I can eat and what I canít and what a normal day looks like.

Yeah I think Iím gonna slower than that. Anybody else ever hear of this kind of system? Again the book is from 2011 and I would have more confidence in it if there had been a second book or any indication that this one was popular. Itís like 180 pages and a lot of that is food lists for P2 that are basically 2.0.

    FYI.
    P4 cometh!

Polly, thanks for sharing about the book. It sounds interesting, maybe not life altering, sorta things we already know. You said you think you may go a little slower than they recommend--I get that, as sometimes I don't show gains from foods till the 2nd day after, it seems. So adding a new food everyday could be confusing I've just finished 1st week of p3 so have a couple more weeks to go. Aren't you on P4 now? Or am I getting you and mrsstrong mixed up--I know she is on P4. Also, Did I read on your post, or someone's that the added time between rounds really is tied into P4? That P3 is generally 3 weeks all the time? I don't remember reading that, but I will definitely go by that if true. I have never done P4 properly, dont think. It's really an extension of P3 foods with the addition of a few carbs or starches, I guess you could say. Processed sugars are probably the worst thing for us , but man, I sure love a good donut or piece of pie! I'll prob order the book even if not really up to date--why not add to my library of diet info? Thanks for telling us about what you read. Hope both girls are doing ok and hope your vet is reasonable! My vet clinic, I really feel is reasonable--but man, I've been to a couple that were outrageously expensive. Seems one of the most difficult types of doctors to be. as their patients can't talk to them. Keep us posted on them, we have all worried with you. Oh, and have to say I think it is so awesome that your extended family, like nephew will visit and help you some around the house. Never had that happen here!

AFM: It's MONDAY morning, yesterday was start of 2nd week of P3 for me. Yesterday's weigh in was great. This morning I did go up .6, but still in my 2 lb window--so it's good. I ate quite a bit of fresh pineapple yesterday, maybe that is cause of uptick, lots of healthy sugar, but it's so GOOOOD! After no sugars on P2, P3 it taste like candy. But healthy for you. The pineapple is gone now, so no more for a few days. I think this is a big week for several of the ladies that contribute on forum -wedding prep, exotic vacations to Costa Rica....so several may be too busy to post. But hope everyone is doing well, even those who no longer post--we miss you all and would love to hear from you! Everyone feel free to jump in, whether doing well, or not doing well. Nothing new under the sun, we have all been at all stages of protocol, and have all had successes and failures (not necessarily a bad word, we learn a lot from those) with our objectives. That's life, so don't be shy or embarrassed, and for those like Nicole (writer mama) who has crushed this protocol, we are in awe! Good for You, so exciting! Will check back later, have 5 grandkids and their birthdays are so close together, we celebrate the 3 littles on the same day! So this is like Christmas season for me--have most of the gifts ready, but need to go out for some cards and boxes for a few so I can finish wrapping and ship to Virginia by Wednesday, celebration is this Saturday. We have a couple of things we have to go to, so won't be there this year, but they are coming for July 4 celebration this year, yay! Hope everyone is in a happy mood today, a new week! They go by so quickly!

    Hi every buddy,
Thank you, Dubs, Your kind words along with everyoneís concern about Penny help.

We are back up the mountain this morning as she just wonít eat. She is getting another IV, Pearl is staying with her and they will both spend the day at the vet. Maybe tomorrow too but Iíll take them home tonight. Iím working on an old laptop at a Starbucks until they throw me out and then Iíll find someplace else like it. Iíll be here until five. Nausea meds may give her some relief as the antibiotics sheís had may be a part of it.

Not giving up on her yet. She is still strong. Mad at me, tho, for poking stuff (pills) down her throat.

I quickly threw some deli roast beef and sliced cheese in a cooler, so Ill be fine. Also bought the boiled egg, apple cheese box at Starbucks so ill stay on track. Not any more hungry than Penny is.

Working, so keeping busy. Thank you all!

    Good Morning Lovelies,

Pearly hope the doggies are doing better after the vet day today! I also hope you have a reasonable vet. In my area there is quite a range of prices... Thank you also for your book review. I have found some good info on the HCG Chicka website, but P3/P4 are a struggle for me...

My back is doing a little bit better, and the ibuprofen/tylenol staggered dosing is helping. I still have a lot of swelling so I am not sure what to do. I was hungry late last night so I ate--I am never hungry after dinner and today I am .4 over my window. I am going to have a mostly high protein day and see if tomorrow is going to be a correction day or not.

Mrs. Strong thank you for your back advice. I have been to 2 chiropractors, and it somehow did not help this time. I have not tried acupuncture but will think about that next time. I found some great exercises on you tube (Dr. Youtube to me ha ha). That is helping and ice... I also did not do much this weekend. No cleaning at moms and stayed home and rested. I think that I keep doing too much, so I am going to try and stop that.

Dubbles so glad to read that the peanut butter is ok for you.

LinderLou thank you again for sharing your strategies! That was very helpful. It is so great to hear that you are staying in your window.

I am a bit confused about the separation of carbs from Protein and fat. Can anyone elaborate? Does that include fruit I mean do you separate fruit from Fat and Protein too?

Well I have to get back to work here. Hope everyone has a great day of wonderful losses. Also, very nice to see that people are posting on the weekend. I hope to join in next weekend.

    Fondly,

Rk, It is not part of Dr. Sís protocol, but it was part of Suzanne Somersí back in the 90ís.

At that time, she said she got it from French friends who have historically eaten that way. Of all the things I eat, fruit is the highest in sugar, so it made sense to me to give my body a little time in between when switching from FAT to SUGAR.

It is not a protocol rule.

Unless you have heard of this somewhere else. is it a keto thing?

I do eat almond butter w apple slices and do fine so maybe its more of a superstition than
    A useful idea.
