I like dark chocolate with sea salt when I have that craving. Overall sweets don’t get the better of me. It’s the dam wine. Which is sugar in another form!

Hi, Lovelies!
Sunshine, good to hear you're plugging along.
I started VLCD today. I'm soooo excited to finally start seeing the scale move DOWN. Week 1 is always very motivating for me.
Hope everyone is having a great day!
Good luck Kar!!!

Round 3 - Loading 16 Apr '21
Round 2 - Jan-Mar '21 - lost 5kgs/11lbs
Round 1 - Sept-Nov '20 - lost 10kgs/22lbs
I really struggled a few days and had lower results than I should have had in the first week. Thankfully I'm on my game now and my scale made me happier this morning than it has for days. I sure hope I can be POP the rest of this round. I don't know why sometimes this is harder than others. I've done this diet on and off as needed since 2010 so I'm by no means a newbie. But today feels great and that is promising. I hope all of you are nailing your rounds!
Kar all the best in your round.
CoffeeGirl I hear you. My first week wasn’t great but I keep plugging along and I think my averages are about the same as previous rounds.

Hi everyone! I haven’t commented on this thread yet since I did P2 in December. I’m now on day 17 of P3. I had a steak day on day 2, maintained great until two days ago (Day 14). I had another steak day probably caused by adding in too many almonds too late at night. I had already added in dairy (plain Greek yogurt and a small amount of cheese in salad) with no issue. I added eggs from day one as I ate them in P2. With my day 14 steak day, I only dropped back down to .4 above LIW. Day 15, I had a hard workout. I ate my standard heaps of greens, meats, olives, olive oil, coconut oil with cocoa powder, berries. No nuts or cheese. Day 16, was up another .4. Today, day 17, I’m back at 2.2 over LIW. I was super sore yesterday and still super sore (like hard time moving) today. Since I just did the steak day, I’m planning on trying just more protein and water today. Does this sound like a good idea? I had Greek yogurt with a couple berrries for breakfast. I am literally a poster child for healthy eating so I’m bummed. What else should I consider?

Hi there. I know from past experience for me, on P3 and weight lifting/exercising, it always caused a weight gain. Its likely due to water retention/swelling and lactic acid from the exercise. Drink a lot of water! Pee a lot and hopefully the BM's are moving nicely too for you. I've also had trouble with nuts in the past. Not sure if its causing an issue for you or not but watch them carefully. I'd go with lean protein, veggies and 1/2 an apple. Use salt, garlic powder and little else for your spices to see if that brings the weight back down again. I'm no expert, so take my opinion with that grain of salt I recommended. LOL
ajup2it, thank you for the input! I do think it’s linked to the weight lifting. I did it frequently prior to P2, stopped for P2, and I’ve only done it once a week (so three times total) since entering P3. The first time, I needed a steak day two days after. Today is also two days after - it’s just a coincidence that I had the steak day in between from overdoing almonds. I may also cut back on the coconut oil treats for now.
I was trying to eat more so I stabilized but perhaps I’m now eating too much. I hope more protein and yes lots of water today works. I’m so sore!!!

Good morning, Lovelies!
Bequestrian, almonds usually seem to get me in P3. I agree with ajup2it... the weight-lifting may be the biggest culprit. Clean eating (not high protein) and lots of water is probably best right now.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Hi girls - I seem to be doing well now. I've had two perfect days in a row and lost a total of 3.4 in those two days. My struggle has been coffee (haha - isn't that my name on here?) I am so sad not to have it everyday and no matter how I try, I can't enjoy it without cream in it. My first round in 2010 I used the allotted 1T milk and some stevia but every round since I either cheat (like I did several days last week) or I skip it entirely. I haven't had it since Tuesday and I think this is what I need to do to have a successful round. But oh how hard it is to give it up. I just keep telling myself that I hate being fat more than I hate missing coffee. I hope you all have a great weekend!
