    Good morning, all -

Phoebe, be careful of adding in too much carbs, too quickly, and be careful of half-and-half - there's a lot more carbs in it than HWC. When I want to cut HWC, I switch to smaller coffee cups, green tea, and to almond milk lattes.

2Many and Dubbles - yay! Last dose day, P3 in sight!

P2d12, 483 cals. I think the weight loss is about to ramp up, I'm getting really exhausted during the hilly part of my walk. But I hurt my lower back somehow, so today it's Aleve and heating pad time.

    Good afternoon!

Well went down a smidge but at least not a gain! Only 5 more days till I can eat a proper meal! Yippee! Hope everyone is doing ok it sounds like it.
As far as carbs go, I feel like if you maybe completely deprive yourself when you do eat something it will skyrocket, just maybe not in the beginning too much and definately no complex carbs. Probly will start with eggs and chicken or turkey sausage for breaky and a protein/veg lunch and dinner. See how that goes for awhile before adding dairy. Bring on the fat! Avocados! Yes!

    Good morning,

Weighed in about an hour and a half earlier then I typically do and was up .5 from yesterday. Not sure it makes a huge difference. I did have a fat bomb and some lillys chocolate chips last night... I really need to stop with the sweets but it is what I crave! I even had some strawberries and also blueberries before the chocolate... and still wanted chocolate!! Ugggg... I will get a handle on that one of these days! I will for sure plan on adding carbs slowly. Like half of a sprouted grain english muffin, etc.. this morning I added 1 outer aisle sandwich thin.. but those are made from cauliflower but have 2.5g carbs and .5 total sugar, no added sugar.

GZ, interesting i just compared the labels on the HWC and the Half & Half that I have. (Same brand for both) If I go by the same serving size (1Tbsp.) the h&h has <1% carbs, just like the HWC. They both say no sugar added but the H&H has .5g of sugar per 1Tbsp serving, probabaly from the milk. The calories/sat fat/cholesterol for the HWC = 50/3.5g/20mg whereas with the H&H is is 20/1g/7.5mg. The reason for my switch would be the fat content. And... altough when I get a latte from Starbucks, I love and usually order the (honey) almond milk flat white latte... minus the honey, but when I am at home having 2 cups of joe, almond milk just doesn't cut it for some reason.

2many ~ yay.. you are almost done!! Congrats on your round! Boy, I know when you are in P2 time probably seems pretty slow, but it sure seems like that went by pretty darn fast!! Here's to proper meals!!

    153.6 today P3D20

Phoebe - I'm probably too strict with carbs: but I need to keep T2D in my rear view mirror! I target to stay under 20 g always. So starches and sugars are out of my pantry.

Dubbs, I would love to keep in touch and I like the plan of all of us touching base in January if we do get busy and don't post as much!! Count me in for that!! And hopefully we all stabilized so well over the holidays that we are just coming on here to say Happy New Year and none of us need a round!! Haha... wouldn't that be great!! I am happy you are moving on to P3 this weekend, I know this has been a tough round for you! Time to put it behind you and move "onward"!

Jannette, I like your method of going with a range rather than an actual number! I feel like my body has always liked 154lbs, as long as I don't go above that number, I feel pretty good, but once I start to go above that, it seems like it just keeps going up and up... that is what I need to really pay attention to, at least for me.

You guys all seem to be taking everyday in stride! That's all any of us can do! As for me, I am at 153.1 today. (LIW was 152.4). Would like to be stabilizing lower then my LIW but staying where I am at is ok too. I really need to start walking and working out but it has been so darn hot here.. and when I do go out in the evening when it cools off enough, I get bit up so bad by mosquitoes! The other night I was out in shorts and within a half hour I had 5 bites on my legs!! I cannot wait for the fall weather to hurry up and get here!! My daughter and I are going to go visit my son and his wife in TX at the end of the month, hopefully it will cool down out there too!!

I am thinking since I am getting close to P4, (today is P3D19) I am going to start to cut back on the full fat stuff and maybe add in some stuff like sprouted bread and oatmeal. I have some ezekiel english muffins in my freezer that maybe I will try just one half in the morning one of these days and see how it goes. The last time I had blood drawn my cholesterol was pretty high so I really don't like all of the high fat stuff that I have been eating...well, I mean, I like the stuff, it sure is tasty, but I probably should watch how much I am eating. I finally bought egg whites to have instead of whole eggs all of the time and got some half n half to use as soon as my hwc is gone. Just small changes for now and see how it goes.

I hope everyone has a great day today!!
By all means we'll keep in touch Karen! And I hope you are right and we don't need a heavy duty clean up round, but I do enjoy the holidays. You know I typed up a response to thread early this morning, but got thrown off site and finally gave up, went about my day, and just came back and read again. Don't know what was going on earlier. You and I are right around the same area, pound wise on scale. This is my first day not taking hcg, and went down only .2, so weighed in at 153.0, not going to have much wiggle room, but I never do for my P3 transition. I've grown to expect that. Husband not home tonite, so I ate early, leftovers for dinner just now-- and it was too much, double portion of leftover tilapia--so no loss expected tomorrow. It is what it is. On a good note, went shopping for some jeans today, and got one pair of 8's and a pair of 6 jeans. I think the 6's were cut a little big, but they are really cute. they have the fringe bottom--very casual. Plan to wear this weekend to a ballgame. Now I just have to keep this weight off!

I also need to start walking when it gets cooler. When hubbs has band gigs in the summer outside, I still want to be covered head to toe in jeans and sleeves, as skeeters love me. You know they don't love everyone, we should feel special. Am ready for cooler weather, plan to walk my dogs then, for sure, they could use the exercise also.

I hear you on the carb/fat intake. For myself I found it best to not combine so much as I used to. During my P4 If wanted carbs I really tried to limit the fats in that meal, seems I did better. I remember wanting a baked potato a couple of times so I skipped my meat entree and went for the baked potato, now I did put a little butter and sour cream on it, but didn't over do it. And there was a time or two in P4 where I wanted dessert so I just had a salad and then had dessert. But many days I would eat high fat, with lots of tuna with mayo or lots of fatty protein with veggies roasted with olive oil and parm cheese in oven. I just did less combining of fats and carbs. Stablization didn't seem too difficult. I never got the nerve to add grains much because I don't have a lot of self control with bread, I love it so much. I can eat an entire loaf of the dark bread you get with an Outback meal, or the bread you get from Olive Garden. I devour that stuff. It's dope for me, I know that about myself--so I bought, but didn't start on the Ezekiel bread. Good luck to you with that.

GZ, Oh no, hope the back is not too bad. I know what you mean, I can sometimes feel when when I am dropping weight, I feel really spent, just no energy. Maybe you are getting ready for a significant drop. Hope so! Yes, Friday will be entry to P3 for me, I'm ready.

Jeanette, the end is in site, almost there! Just having fat back in diet is like candy, I think on P3.

I am chiming in to say I agree w Dubbs.

Its not the fat you eat, itís the combination of fat with sugaró and all carbs are treated as sugar in your body. Some variance for lower glycemic fruits and veggies, but still, your system canít tell a Kat-Kat from garlic bread.

I donít go No Carbó the stuff you see on the internet pushing as Keto is nutsó but boy watch that combination thing.

When you cut the sugar down to a reasonable amountó I canít stay under 20grams,but do under 30 for P2. I am probably under 40 most days, thoóthen your body uses fat to power it and doesnít store it. So to keep those metabolic numbers down, cut the sugar not the fat.

When I lost 50 pounds on this in 2013 my triglycerides went from q 199 to 80and my good cholesterol was low and bad was high. Those switched. I did not give up fat.

Iím waiting for a lab order to see what I am now, after gaining and losing 24 lbs.

PearlyMae, I agree: I don't buy "Keto" foods either. I buy whole foods and avoid the additives. But I still have to track calories, otherwise I will gain weight on my high fat keto diet.

Yep. Agree. But when you have 3 veggies on your plate with your chicken thigh, the calories donít add up like potatoes and bread. It all works out.

Atkins and Suzanne Sommers were ahead of their time.

Thanks Polly, agree with you totally! Thanks for your posting. Hope you are doing ok, and the girls too. Bet job is keeping you busy. Would be interesting what your counts are now, after hcg type eating--if they are all good--generally people find their counts are great. It really seems to be result in healthier counts. Good to hear from you. Have a great day, don't work too hard!
