I used olive oil on snack 1 avocado, because I wasn't sure if breakfast was fatty enough with that leftover thigh.

    Hi Samslice,

What is your intended plan for your way of eating, once you are done with restrictions? It seems like what you are eating is not satisfying your hunger.

Since doing hcg in 2011, I maintained a mostly low carb diet, but I would not deprive myself of anything. It worked, for 5 years. I wouldn't buy bread or sweets for home, but if I was out and wanted a burger with a bun, I'd have it. I worked as a professional chef at the time, and got bullied HARD for eating the way I did, and looking the way I did (80% of my colleagues were obese).

I gained weight last spring because I pretty much gave up on life after losing my career, family and friends and literally every opportunity I had available to me I was forced to watch crumble one by one. So I bought garbage food because who cares nobody is going to see me anyway.

I found an old unmixed hcg vial and thought it would be great to get back to eating food that made me feel and look good. I lost 20lbs in June, had about 30 to go with this round. I reached my goal (well, 1.5 lbs from goal but good enough!). But now I just feel like a massive flabby failure that tortured myself for nearly 50 days to lose...15 lbs.

    I ramble when I'm upset.

To answer your question, mostly low carb. LOL

I'm going to go cry myself to sleep as soon as my laundry is finished.

Oh, and I naturally leaned towards fasting, not to deprive but I was totally satisfied with coffee + hwc until 12-1pm, then I'd eat salads, protein fats. I love vegetables so much so I felt like I found what worked for me. I wasn't opposed to breakfast, and some days I would eat earlier, but I just tended to get hungry later in the day.

I don't need advice, I'm just giving up on this failed round. Thanks and sorry for wasting everyone's time.

I'm 4 pounds over goal, and still have saddlebags and a flabby protruding belly. I'm 5'7" currently 129 and my body looks disgusting, which makes no sense to me. I think the normal range is 123-149, so I'm just flabber(flabby)gasted at what am utter failure I am. Just wow.

Samslice, you are not a failure! You are in an adjustment phase - and you should expect some ups and downs. Your weight swings seem a bit more than I experienced in my first rounds, but I remember being discouraged with weight swings, too.

During P3 of this and previous rounds, I found my body looked loose and flabby at first, but gradually tightened. I'm still not at goal, either; but I feel and look much better than when I started this round. And heaps better than how I looked before hcg at over 186#!!!

I'm only suggesting you aren't satisfied with what you are eating, and it's driving you to crave more food. I have been eating keto for several years now, and took awhile to settle into what works for me.

You need to find what works for you.

Is there a particular food, or food group, that you especially like, that you have restricted? Are you perhaps missing some nutrient your body is craving? I found I need more supplements, especially minerals. I also found I now like spicier foods, which I don't binge on like I used to do with popcorn, chips, etc. A nice spicy southwestern style stew satisfies me even more than a larger quantity of plain meats.

Also: when eating a higher-fat diet it's important to understand the quality of what you are eating. Our modern diet includes far too much Omega-6 fats, mostly from seed, vegetable, and corn oils. The ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3 should be 1:1 or less. Too much Omega-6 over time can make you feel unwell.

There can be a whole pants size difference between the beginning of P3 and the end of it. Its a magical thing called P3 reshaping. Consider giving it a chance.

Its not going to be perfect, but it will be better. Skin that has been stretched out takes good nutrition and a while to recover.

I guess the dairy restriction is somewhat new. I was upset about the thought of no more hwc, no more custard, berries and whipped cream, cheese, etc., but I got over it much quicker than I thought I would. I started making more curries (I also love spicy, and used to not feel full without heat) and used coconut milk in all of the things I thought I'd miss like chia pudding, in coffee and so forth.

I used cayenne on my fish yesterday, and used liberal amounts of pepper in my soup, I have a habanero hot sauce I use every so often (just vinegar and peppers, I'm a hardcore label reader and I haven't purchased sugar or flour in over a decade) so that's not it. I take tons of supplements and vitamins too.

I love pizza, and am surrounded by people walking with amazing smelling boxes of it all day every day, but I'm not even tempted by that anymore, I just really enjoy the smell. But I can't have cheese anymore, and I know that flour and sugar have strong effects on my mood, so it's just not even worth it to me anymore.

So, no I don't think I'm craving anything I can't have? I'm a little miffed that I just bought 2 lbs of coconut milk powder, and 2 bags of shredded coconut that I might be allergic to (I'm still hoping my gain was from butter, though, and I'm going to try it again in a few weeks) when I now know I should have just gotten more hemp hearts instead.

This is all feeling so much worse because my fat clothes are so big that even leggings are slouchy or falling off, and all of my thin clothes are uncomfortably snug. I already have way too many clothes and I'm not buying anything new. So frustrating.

I've seriously just gone into my kitchen and walked around in circles like 5 times now, because I have no idea what to eat to get rid of the stupid 3 pounds.

Ok, now that I'm hungrier, I am feeling deprived -

-Chia seeds were a diet staple. I can't have dairy though, I used to use

-macadamia milk but can't have that bc it has guar gum. So I switched to no fillers added...

    -coconut milk, possible allergy

    -coconut manna

    - I have a freezer full of broccoli and cauliflower and peppers and brussels sprouts and asparagus that I'm too scared to eat because I want this weight off

    - nuts, too scared to try because apparently I am allergic to everything

    - butter, definite dairy allergy.

    - salsa, too scared to eat bc tomatoes have too much sugar

-eggs, too scared to eat bc maybe I'm allergic and will gain

This is crazy, I have never been like this with food. I did awesome the first p3, and years after. I ate piles of low starch vegetables the first few days of this p3 until I noticed that huge gain, and now I'm just apprehensive to eat anything.

I found some p2 pulled chicken so I made that with 1 or 2 tbl oil. I have ripe avocados, but won't eat that even though it's only 1g net carbs. I guess I'm doing a high protein day. I don't even know.
