I'm so disappointed. I have stuck like glue to this protocol and today's Day 16. I *gained* two days this week, I'm at 245.5, and I have no idea how I did it.
I've not cheated at all. I'm doing my injections. And I'm drinking my water, on average more than 100 oz a day.
And to make matters work, I feel sick. Not covid sick, but bloated. I haven't, you know, since Saturday and my apples and cabbage fiber are not cutting it. I tried Smooth Move tea, and nothing, nada, kaput.
If you have any tips to get me over this hump, I'd appreciate it.
    Thank you!
Raleighgrl, do you take magnesium tablets? If not, they can really help with constipation issues. Seriously.

To all the long timers here and please pass it on.
Candy, who was on Lovely Losers and Vanities many years ago, passed away in Sept. There was a post on Facebook from her family. She was a fun, loving, witty, wonderful lady. I am so shocked and saddened. P

Never lost a whole lot more. But seemed to stablize well. Think because I ate so many P3 foods, good practice for real, bonefide p3 protocol eating. If you don't have interruption of 14 days, then you don't have to reload. And you might lose more, up to you. But I loved using the planned interruption to continue on. After 23/24 days, I would just need the change. Just saying. Your brief planned PI, should work fine. Good luck!
Thank you!! I think it will help and I wonít reload so I donít have to wrestle with a few lbs. I just want to have half and half in my coffee and a real salad Lovely Losers 2021- ON TOP OF IT in October!!.

    Good morning, Lovelies -

Cold and rainy today, yuck. But it's cool enough to break out one of my hand knit Aran sweaters.

I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Safe travels for Penny and PearlyMae!

I did my first PI this round, and even though it wasn't actually planned, and I didn't stick to P3 foods (shame on me!), I'm losing well again after the interruption. The pause wasn't long enough for loading, and I didn't want to since during the interruption I pretty much loaded "eyeroll". Anyway, good to know this is a possibility, and potentially a good one depending on where your head is at.

gz, thanks for the keto mojo rec. Urine strips never worked for long for me after I initially got into ketosis. Having been low carb and an intermittent faster who works out in a fasted state, my body just doesn't throw off ketones in that way. And I'm not a proponent of exogenous ketones to get those strips to turn purple. A blood meter could be a different story. But I tend not to be a very good measurer. Just not a data gal. However, I have officially learned the hard way that not weighing myself for the long haul daily leads to no good. No more burying my head in the sand as far as numbers go or depending on how I feel or how my clothes fit to communicate weight gain. Nuh uh.

Thanks so much for the congrats on my unexpected whoosh, everyone! Another loss today, though incremental at .2. Still, I'll gladly take it! I'm a little over 3 pounds from my goal and I have six more injections to complete this round. Fingers crossed it happens, and that I do everything in my power to assist that process (and not blow it doing something dumb). I'm not generally one to eat foods not on P2, but I have had a tendency to overeat portions of P2 foods, especially as I get closer to goal. There's evidence that the less we have to lose the hungrier we get even on HCG, no? Anyway, drawing on all my willpower and all other positive powers that be to get me through the rest of this round strong!

Happy weekend, everyone! It's cold and gray here today, but a welcome feeling of fall. I might just have a fire tonight!

I LOVE my aran sweaters! I spent a good amount of time living in Ireland and visiting the islands when I was in my 20s. How fun to have that connection!

I second magnesium supplements. It's a game changer. And don't be surprised if you need more than you think. If it gives you diarrhea, that's a clear sign you've taken too much. And there are many types of magnesium. Glycinate is the most absorbable, I've read, but the others will ease the constipation quickly as well.

I also have learned that when eating very low carb, our bodies can require more salt. Upping good salts (my doc recommends Celtic Sea Salt, so that's what I use) can also help with regularity if we're deficient (it can happen with a whole foods diet when we cut carbs and processed foods). I use an electrolyte supplement in my water as well. That's helped a lot.

Hang in there, Raleighgrl! Things will get moving again and you'll see it on the scale!
