    Happy Tuesday, everyone.

Yesterday my hunger got the best of me and I definitely did not stick to the VLCD though I did stick to P2 foods. Just like I said I would try not to do. Dang it!

It's that perfect storm of nearing the end of round/nearing goal/TOM. Oh well. I suspect my period will come tomorrow given my symptoms. Praying it is so, and Lord give me strength to stick to protocol today!

    How's everyone else?

I'm pulling for you MissM, to finish your round strong! One cheat day isn't going to derail you.

We have a beautiful sunny morning, supposed to get to 70 this afternoon. Road construction on my street - finally! It's been a mess for years.

P3d13, 1099 cals yesterday, still holding at 137.5#

I am sorry to read your Mother lost her life to t2d; my Grandmother died from congestive heart failure brought on by t2d. I am grateful for hcg and keto helping to control my A1c and avoid the t2d meds.

Thank you! Every Buddy, for thinking of me and my little sweetie. We are home and soooo glad. I picked her up on Saturday afternoon and she was really, really glad to see me. We spent Sat night, all day Sunday and monday a.m. at my sister's and she was on my lap most of the time. This is my little part feral dog who sits arms' length from me for the last decade. So, she was REALLY glad to see me. She is still a very sick dog, but we will either figure out how to help her or make sure she is comfortable as time goes on. My hope is she remembers I rescued her and does not remember I was the one who left her there. I will not even write the dollar amount I spent for no help at all. Let's just say I maxed out a credit card that I would have thought was plenty. We all make mistakes, but this one was my largest regrets ever. As soon as they said they were not doing surgery I should have picked her up and gone home!!!!

Travel, stress, etc. have me craving things I should not, but I never seem to get around to going after them. All this traveling has made me very careful and not want to actual stop and take time to eat. AT my sister's I just ate what she served and had chili with a few beans, a pastry her neighbor made, potatoes in my veggies, toast with peanut butter, but when I added in my head later, I think I was waaaay under a normal day. This a.m. I hit 124.8. Not a healthy way to lose. MOre lack of volume in my body, I think! LOL Yesterday, I had never got a chance to eat lunch or dinner, jus snacked on some parm chips between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. I had a few tip of the spoons of pb when I got home, but had too much to do to get dogs fed etc. Nothing fits differently, so I will NOT try to stay here. I am healthier at just under 130.

    Onward. P

Don't worry. I'll start eating better and wipe out that 124 number quickly and get back to 129 before I know it.

Just want to check because it's been a while! Doing well though kind of let myself go this past weekend. Back on track and will weigh at the end of the week. I find it easier to eat strictly clean that way. At the same time, stabilizing this P4 is not smooth. I may just not fret and do a short round once I get to 160. We'll see. I know my body really likes 160 LOL My brain does not.

I hope everyone is doing well, wherever you are in your round or maintenance!

    P. Think the stress and constant on the go is causing you to drop pounds without trying. This winter you will probably slow down a bit and may pick up a few, which you most likely need to do. Glad both girls are back home with you. I know the frustrating feeling of spending money on the dogs to find they really did nothing at all for them. But at least you feel you exhausted all resources, left no stone unturned. Hope she is comfortable and does improve. I'm certain she missed her mama. They are both adorable. Hugs to all three.

I think everyone has had a little bit of a rough weekend. Sunday, I had chili with added spaghetti at the cookoff, a hot dog with fixings, and desserts and beer--not good. Ate on P3 protocol yesterday, and dropped almost a pound this morning, so not bad this morning. But still should a drop to get to back to where I was on Sunday morning. Weight this a.m. was 153.4, only .2 below last dose weight. Oh well, it was pretty much a binge weekend, fun--but shouldn't do those too often, for sure.

I think, mrsstrong, stablizing this winter is going to be a real challenge, for me as well. No way could I do below or even 150. As it cools off, for myself, I really slow down, and love comfort foods. Have got to get this under control before heart of the holiday season. Determined to do it, tho. Have definitely decided NOT to go on trip to Arizona first week in January with some of husband's golf buddies and wives. I barely know the ladies. He understands. I feel like it would be a little weird. I'd rather go on a trip with closer friends, myself. So that frees me up to do a clean up round in January if needed. We'll see.

Will be going to Atlanta mid-November to surprise daughter and son-inlaw with a small 25th wedding anniversary celebration, just for family. They know we are all meeting for a visit, but don't know it is to celebrate their wedding anniversary that will be coming up. So that will be fun. And then back again to Virginia to watch the kids first of December while he surprises her with a trip getaway for the two of them as a gift for actual anniversary. So will be gone quite a bit, with holidays in there too. Probably gonna need that round! Hope everyone is having a good start to their week. Those in p2, those finishing p2, staring p3, and those of us in p4 and trying to find our way throughout it all. We're all just doing the best we can. No judgement at all , really, not from me anyway--I promise on whatever course anyone chooses. I respect everyones choices, wish I had the willpower, or won't power so many of you have. Really! Have a good one!

So happy to hear that Penny is home and everyone seems in good spirits regardless of how they went over the weekend. And my condolences to those grieving.

I have finally found some stability in P2. My fatigue and nausea is clearing up. I still have food aversions but I am managing by eating both fruits, both grissinis, a protein shake at lunch and some processed chicken breast for dinner. I munch on celery throughout the day to keep the fatigue and nausea at bay. I'm so glad I stuck it out and figured out how to stay as much on plan as possible while finding something that worked for me. The processed chicken breast isn't ideal, but I trust that it's better for me in the short term to stick out the longer plan using it than coming off P2 too soon.

P2D35 and I've lost 19.8 lb overall. Skip day tomorrow, then six more injections, so that means only nine more days on P2. I'm so excited to move into P3. I hope to lose about 3 lb more, but we'll see if that's achievable or not.

    R1P2: 09/14/21 - 10/28/21. 21.1lb loss.
    LIW: 164.5.

    Good Wednesday morning, Lovelies -

PearlyMae, I'm glad you have Penny home, and sorry to read about the expense and your disappointment with her treatment. We feel so helpless when our loved ones get ill. I hope you are able to keep Penny comfortable and happy.

Samster, I'm glad to read you have figured out how to get through the rest of your P2. I have never had food aversions, must be unpleasant. But you have had great losses!

MrsStrong, I hope your stabilization improves. It's so annoying when we go up and down!

We had a glorious sunny day yesterday, clear skies, 72; and it's supposed to be nice again today before rain and cooler weather move in overnight. I took a nap in the sun, topping up my Vit D.

P3d14, 1223 cals yesterday, 27 g carbs. I have been holding at 137.5, but won't be weighing in for a couple more days. Laying out in the sun, I can see my abdominal fat has reduced significantly, yay! But still low muscle mass and flabbier than I want to be. After I finish P3, I'm definitely going back to my home free-weight program.

    Morning everyone!
First off I'm happy to hear about Penny but sad that the situation remains the same. But glad that parts over and she can be home where she belongs and is most comfortable.
Sounds like everyone is up & down which is the way this thing goes. Friday night me & hubs went to our favorite mexican place and chowed down on fish tacos & margaritas. Saturday was a huge gain but kept it together Saturday and by Sunday was back on track. Would hate to think I can't be bad sometimes but I feel like if its caught in time these transgressions are forgivable. I'm still on board for a January round as I still had 10-15 pounds to go when I started last January. Seems like a long time ago. I think most of you guys are a round ahead of me but I like to take my time to try to figure out how to stabilize. Spoiler alert: I'm still figuring it out!

    Hi all,

Thank you, DivineMissM and Dubbles, for your suggestions of magnesium. I've started that, and it seems to be helping. Things got bad on Sunday so I went off plan to eat much more fiber (beans for dinner, and lots of them), and that did the trick. Now I'm adding more fiber supplements, too, and trying to choose better fiber-rich on-plan foods.

Speaking of which, do you know if we can substitute raspberries for strawberries on the plan? Raspberries aren't on the original list, but have more fiber than strawberries, so I'd like to try that to avoid my bloating problem again.

Last week was not a big losing week, I think, due to my extra fiber intake, and feeling generally ill, but I'm back on track now. Today is P2D21, and I was down a total of 20.8 lb this morning. I have a LOT of weight to lose, so I'm trying for the 40 pounds in 40 days, even though I know that's more than average.

I'm interested to hear how folks in P2 handle travel. I have an upcoming girl's trip in November, and have been thinking about how I'll handle it, what I will eat to stay on plan but not be too "obvious" about it in a group, and how I will keep my injections cold.

Thanks again for all of your advice!

    @ Raleighgirl,

Its actually counterproductive to increase fiber or fiber supplements when you are constipated, despite what all the advertisements we are bombarded with say. What happens is the additional fiber can form a plug behind the blockage and make things worse. Once you break through, then you can successfully start adding fiber but you may find you don't need it.

The best way to deal with this issue in P2 is to keep increasing magnesium (increase by 250-400mg each day) and vitamin C (increase in 1000mg increments each day) until the issue is resolved. If stools get watery, back down to the previous dose and stay there for a while. You may be able to decrease more later on.

This way, you resolve the problem but do not have to break protocol and can have your best results for your round.

As for P2 fruit substitutions, there are none that are on protocol. You can experiment with substitutions and see how your body reacts, but personally, I don't want to mess with the HCG magic. Its the only protocol that ever worked for me. I've been maintaining at goal for 6 years now, so I can attest that following the protocol does work long term.

Traveling in P2 can be challenging---mostly because of the social implications. The way I've dealt with it is to eat meals in my hotel room, then just have coffee or some fizzy water that looks like a mixed drink when I'm with others. Take along pouches of chicken breast and cut up celery and a bag of apples for the times when you can't find on plan foods. Homemade chicken or very lean beef jerky is a protein option that doesn't require refrigeration. You can usually find veggies or fruit at roadside mini-stores and the occasional hardboiled egg can work as well. In restaurants, the safest choice is a shrimp cocktail with sliced tomatoes. A broiled fish and lemon dressed salad or steamed veggie option can work. Chicken and beef are usually marinated in sugar, oil and other problem ingredients, so fish is a better choice because of that.

If you are doing a road trip, there really isn't any way not to be obvious. You just have to be upfront with people to a point. I usually say I'm on a temporary elimination diet and most people accept that without further questioning.
