Love reading all the success stories! Keep it up, y'all!

I am probably too tired, and have too much work to catch up on to tell much, but had a great weekend.

I really re-connected with two of my best high school friends. We were a group of five. Two are just not interested any more, but the three of us picked up like we had last seen each other yesterday. That's true friendship. Our running joke was " I meant to call!" But we haven't seen each other in 50 years, as we all went off to different colleges, married men from somewher else. We sort of knew where each other was etc. through other connections, and a few years ago found each other on facebook, but rarely ever posted directly to each other. Just "liked" each other's posts. Didn't matter. We picked right up and did lots of catching up, and had fun.

The other two, little worried about them. One had an emotional breakdown during college and left town. I did track her down about 20 years ago, and while she was friendly, she made it clear that that part of her life was in her rear view and too painful to be a part of again. So, chapter closed there.

The other one, who was my college room mate as well, also disappeared on us. We know where she is, but there is no home phone listed. Her business which she runs with her husband has no website, they are not on any social medie and there is not even a home address available online anywhere. We tried to start a round robin letter years ago (she made it clear she doesn't email) but it always ended up at her and she never participated. One of the other two "girls" called her at her office to encourage her to come to the reunion, and while she said she was friendly and nice, she made it clear she was just too busy. She actually lives the closest of any of us, just 50 miles form our home town, while the rest of us are in other states. She and her hubby could have driven up for the Sat night dinner easily. ???

But it was fun. Had nice talks with people who never talked to me in high school! LOL.

I am worn out! Probably good that I didn't take Penny that trip. Airline travel is horribly busy, crowds like crazy, huge long lines in security -- I was way early for my first flight and still almost missed my plane!-- Gave me a chance to scope out how to handle all of that.

I left on Thursday a.m. back down to 128.0 and this morning at 128.4 so extremely happy about that! I was verrrrrry careful!

    ONWARD!

Ack, I’ve been slacking!! Life came at me hard but I’m still on track. The important thing for me wad I didn’t drink. Ugh.
Been trudging down through the 60s and I’m kind of shocked that I didn’t drop a bunch because I was barely eating but I know my body will release when ready. Also been taking hydroxyzine for anxiety which makes me kind of sluggish and blah. Much needed mental state.
Off to catch up. I am still here with you all!

P2D19 and down 0.9lb since yesterday for a total of 14.5lb. From a weight loss perspective, this has been the steadiest experience I've had so far. I'm really happy about that, makes the meat aversion and the fatigue of the past few days feel worthwhile and manageable.

gz9gjg, it's going to be so exciting when you make it to P3. You're so close!

Samster, glad you are feeling better. So, sticking it out for the longer round--does that mean a 30 day round, or 40 day round? Whichever you decide, I sure respect you for that. Down 14.5, you are having a great round. Despite having issues with a meat aversion, can't imagine how difficult that must be. For me that sounds extremely difficult as I really have an aversion to eggs. Glad you are feeling much better and feel things are more manageable. Always good when you have an overnight drop of almost a pound! Good for you!

gz, oh yeah-- at day 31, I'd be getting restless too. So tomorrow, Tuesday, should be your last tablet, then P3 on Thursday, right? Cream in coffee is like a dessert drink! You're right there, good for you! It's such an accomplishment, and something to be proud of. In 2010, I remember doing those loooong rounds of 42, even longer rounds on hhcg--but I couldn't do those now, I think 32 days is prob the longest I could do at one stretch and that is prob a stretch for me. Good for you!

Polly, Glad you enjoyed your weekend, and you're right, prob just as well that you didn't have added stress of surgery for Penny during the reunion weekend. Things tend to work out as they should, don't they. That's one thing I've learned thru the years (sound like Oprah now), but I tell my grandkids that, things will work out generally for the best. Do you have date set for surgery already? And as far as eating and maintenance, I think you pretty much have that figured out. You must be a itty bitty thing.

Charlie, glad you checked in. I was a little worried about you. Like you said, regardless of what came your way, you didn't drink. Hope you are at least eating your much needed protein. And drinking your liquids. And hope stress, anxiety levels ease up--don't know what is going on in your life, but remember all things are temporary, my husband always says when something comes up, this too will pass, and it does. Take time for yourself and those you love, and be kind to yourself and those you love, things get better. Even P2 passes with time! Ha!

Hope everyone is doing ok with wherever they are in their protocol, or in their lives. I'm doing ok. I kinda went off track this past weekend. Saturday night went out and had a couple of drinks that I didn't plan on, but being out late and having a few drinks causes me to be hungry when I get home late at night, so ate a ice-cream (frozen Twix) when I got home; then wanted to eat during the Bucs/Pats football game last night so we ordered pizza, and we ordered a small cheese and onion pizza just for me, and I ate the entire pizza, except for 2 pieces. And had diet Pepsi with it! I was so worried I would pick up 2 lbs from Saturday and Sunday. But actually started out Friday morning at 153.0 and weighed in this morning at 152.4, so have not gained over weekend at all. Very happy with that outcome. I think it is due to being out late at night, moving around a lot! Regardless, I was a happy girl this morning. Hubbs wanted to go to a Mexican restaurant tonite, and I said No, I already pushed boundaries Saturday and Sunday, I'm getting right back on protocol for the rest of the week, since he wants to go with friends on Saturday. That's exactly how I gained weight before. Do not want to do that again. But I can see that it may be difficult, especially during winter months as going out to eat is the primary social activity during holiday season, fall and winter months. Going to take lots of self discipline. And it has me worried. I already told him, I can see a round of hcg in my future after holidays are over. And I really didn't want that.

Heh, hope mrsstrong is doing ok? Rose? Jeanette--are you on vacation, seems like you were going to go out of town, maybe I'm getting things mixed up? You ok? Hope everyone is ok. Sorry about my sideways avatar, don't know how to fix it. I tried updating it and it came out sideways.

Time is flying by can't believe its October. You guys are all rocking it beautifully. Pizza Dubbs? Jeez only in my wildest dreams. I have been finding I can have a martini or two on the weekends and eat pretty good, go over by 2-3 pounds and then Monday thru Wed eat high protein with salads and drop right back into my zone. So, I'm cool with that for now. Just pray I don't get that creep that at first is so small and then bam its 3 or 4 over and then say screw it! My pants are getting so baggy in the butt but I am in between sizes so its frustrating trying to guess what size I am. Been sticking to what I know so probly won't go crazy buying clothes till I figure this out. Plus I am going to do another round January so there hope yet!

Oh and I tried coconut and gained like 3 pounds overnite (quickly lost too) so thats a total no no for me.

Jeanette, mrsstrong said the same thing about coconut. I haven't really tried it yet. But then Almond Joy candy bars, coconut cream pie, anything with coconut is my least fav food, so not a stretch for me to give up. Have you even tried pizza? I think it is not eating large portions. Really, I figured it up, and the calories from pizza I ate were approx 900 calories, and since I hadn't eaten a terrible amount earlier in the day, prob had no more than 2000 calories for entire day, and only carbs i had that day was in the pizza crust. Maybe that is why no gain. Whatever, it didn't bite me in the butt, and I'm happy. Like you, I prob will do a round after holidays in January, because I fully expect to have some goodies during holidays. Just hoping to keep things under control somewhat. Really believe the main thing is not letting the weight stay on for extended amount of time, but getting it off pretty quickly. That's going to be my plan going forward.

I totally agree! I guess the body recognizes a gain as a win and wants to keep it there. I plan to go down fighting tho!!

Jeannette, please don't wait to get clothes that fit! At least one pair of jeans or pants for work - clothes that fit remind us of our accomplishments, and if they get too snug, remind us to stay on track! It's a pretty powerful feedback mechanism.

I'm on my final day P2d33, 561 cals yesterday. I'll weigh in tomorrow morning for my official end of round weight. P3 here I come!

My plan is to slide into gradual calorie increases, resume my keto diet, and weigh in every couple of days.

Yay gz! Good for you! I wouldn't take too long to up those calories into p3. Leez always advise to up them pretty quickly! I know I did, and this year can honestly say no problems with stablization, and I definitely eat anywhere from 1600-2000 calories daily. I love it! Tomorrow P3 for you, and tomorrow is Day 21 of P3 for me, so Friday will be official day of P4 for me.

AFM: Today weighed in at 152.2 one lb below last dose weight. Scale kept playing with 151.8, but dang, settled at 52.2, oh well. Friday will be P4 for me, but I don't really eat much differently on P4 except occassionally. Then when out don't feel as guilty if I have a carb. Lots of carbs just aren't my friend, and combining fats and carbs isn't a good combination for me I've learned. So hope to continue with lessons I've learned over this last year--so valuable. Starches are a big no-no for me, I love breads and find them almost addictive as sugar. I can really binge on bread alone, need to leave bread out for the most part. I have used the forum to hold myself accountable, and hate to not post as I like to encourage others, but feel like I don't have a lot new to say, so if I don't post daily, know I will be reading daily, and will check in, maybe weekly to let everyone know how things are going ( I know I always worry about people when I don't hear from them). And am always cheering on those on protocol! If I can do the protocol, anyone can. So onward everyone, as our buddy Polly says. And Polly, I am so interested in how it goes with Penny's surgery!

Thanks, Dubbles, but with a keto diet, it's really easy to exceed my calorie target. Since I eat under 30 g of carbs daily, there really isn't much wiggle room. (I eat strict keto because I am a type 2 diabetic, keeping it in remission with diet.) The main restrictions in P3 for me are: no wine, restrict chocolate and ice cream, and only one mug of coffee with HWC. So not too restrictive. But I am planning to make keto hazelnut ice cream with chocolate brownie chunks, for P4!
