Thread: LOVELY LOSERS 2021 - You're HOTTER than JULY!!!

  1. #121
Misscast, on average women will lose half a pound a day over a round even if they lose 10 in one week. It averages out. Only a few younger ones are lucky to lose a pound a day. So check your average.

Polly, I hope you can rest today!

I am down a pound today, yay! Averaging 0.5/day so normal for me. One more week before PI. I hope to be at 155 when I leave and come back so that I have 5 more after my PI.
Still feeling crummy and will get Covid test results back later this afternoon. Fingers crossed.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Misscast...uggg...the vodka comment...that was me last night!! I caved and had two vodka drinks with hint blackberry water and I slept like crap, my head aches and I have already had to eat an egg to settle my stomach....lesson learned, I will not be drinking while in P2 again!!

Mrstrong great loss!! I never have ever gone back to see what I average per day, maybe I will need to do that. Let us know how your covid test comes out! I hated those test....sticking that thing practically up to your brain and then down your throat! Gag!

Polly.... I hear you about walking, if you aren't used to it, it can take it's toll. My friend/neighbor and I were walking every day last year when covid hit, we would get up to about 7 miles and my legs would wake me up at night being so sore...and we worked up to that point. I also would get frustrated because all that walking and I didn't lose any weight!! But nice that your friends have you to lean on!!

As for me, like i mentioned above, I pretty much feel hung over this morning, I drank a ton of water last night because I knew I would get dehydrated from the alcohol but I still feel the affects of drinking. Have some work related stuff to do today and we also have docs to sign because we are going to list some property that we own, but after that....may lay down and try and nap if I can. Usually can't nap during the day but it's worth a try the way I feel.

VLCD13 11.6#'s 158.4 and I have only the tiniest bit of hcg left in my vial...I am surprised that it has lasted even this long. You are all right about it looking like less then it is...hopefully it gets me to Wed. I have decided to start my PI on Wed because an old neighbor is going to be in town and we are going to a candle making class and then out for drinks and dinner and then my son gets here on Sunday, YAY... so... hopefully the vial lasts until then!!

Phoebe, remember that if your last dose is Wednesday that your interruption doesn't start until 72 hours later. You have to transition off while eating P2 just like if you were ending the round.

LOVELY LOSERS 2021 - You're HOTTER than JULY!!!

I have to share my delicious treat. Disclaimer: I have used cocoa powder in all my rounds just fine. It is off pop and the only off pop I indulge in. (ETA: It's not! I use non-fat Greek yogurt too. I do not like cottage cheese.)

Normal alloyed serving sizes and a T of cocoa. Fill with water. Blend.

Use Dutch cocoa as it is alkalized. It does not taste good otherwise.

Pearly - the only thing I'm laughing at is your E-shoes comment. Hilarious! And that gain has to be inflammation from sore muscles.

Mrsstrong - congrats on your LB! And yes, I guess unless you're 20-something (sigh) that's true.

Phoebe - I feel your pain! I've had 2 vodkas in the last 21 days. Can't do more than one at a time without food lining your stomach.

I'm down 2LBs this morning. That gives me a little over 10LB loss on day 21 so happy with that.

Happy Weekend Everyone! It's early yet on Saturday, hope everyone is sleeping in so losses will be good. I've been up a while. Was actually up .2 this morning 159.2, so about the same. Nothing much going on here today--had huge thunderstorms in night, lots of rain, the grass is so green for mid July. Love that, but now feels like hot house when you walk outside. Cloudy, overcast this morning, but it may all clear out by afternoon. Nothing much going on here--husband's band has a music gig tonite, had planned to be out of town this weekend, but since I'm not, guess I'll go and join other band wives. We usually get up and dance, I will too if I drink enough! So some exercise! Ha!

I'm in some kind of mental challenge here. I find myself wanting to go back to snacking thruout the day. I haven't given in a whole lot, but want to. The treats that have saved me so far has been the Lily sugar free milk chocolate chips and carmel flavored chocolate chips. I think a svg of those has 60 calories , and they satisfy my craving for chocolate, but they are probably encouraging that craving, which isn't good, kwim? We have several ice cream drumsticks leftover from when grandkids were here earlier in the month, and actually a lot of full sugar chocolate candy -think frozen bite size snickers, reeses pnut butter cups, m&m's, twix, etc., which I put in freezer, and will take to them when I go in a couple of weeks. Thankfully, I have not gotten into any of that as yet (patting myself on the back), but it is a daily battle to not dig in. What's wrong with me? I am too old to want to eat like that. And I find I want to cook less and less--it's summer and I want to be in kitchen cooking my fish on grill less and less. Once I go back to P2 that has to change, for sure. If for nothing else, p2 encourage a return to more structured and and very healthy home cooking. And the longer I am on p4, the farther I seem to want to do home cooking. Am I alone in this.

The above was typed yesterday morning, and I somehow didn't hit send. Came back to thread started typing more, responded to everyone, Got phone call from daughter in the meantime--she asked me to go look for something she couldn't find in VA--which unbelievably I was able to locate and purchase in Indiana (across the river from me) that was backordered for 3-4 months in VA. All this happened in midst of my responding to everyone so I kept getting timed out and since I hadn 't refreshed my screen I lost much of what I had typed. And I had responded to everyone individually! Yikes, I hate when that happens.

Not sure I can remember it all now. Polly, I am sure your up 4 lbs in a few days is inflammation after all that activity, but certainly understandable that you would be grumpy about it. I mean really, up when so active? It will surely go down, and may have by this morning already. Glad your friends have you to lean on, maybe the weight of all their problems just attached to you somehow. That's what I call a great friend. Hope you were able to rest yesterday, and able to rest some today. When I see people out there in these extreme temperatures running, in 90 plus degrees, I think they are nuts and wonder how they don't have heat strokes. Really. I couldn't do it. I used to run, but no more, with my knees, I worry about walking. Tell the little ladies hi.

Phoebe, if you need to be on P3 eating by Wednesday, and you are worried about having enough hcg in vial, perhaps you should finish your hcg earlier (like today--last dose day) and transition thru the 72 hours off hcg so you are on P3 by Wednesday? You're not going to make the required 23/26 days, however many anyway, right? Would that be better than eating P3 with lots of hcg in your system. You look gorgeous at current weight from what we saw in wedding photos, maintaining--will be an important job. And during P3 reshaping can be done a lot. Believe me, I have done a lot of reshaping during these p3s and P4. Just an idea.

mrsstrong, bless your heart. Any word on the covoid test yet? Hope you and family are on the mend. And the kitty as well. You definitely don't want to feel miserable as you head into your Planned Interruption coming up I think this next weekend? Hope you reach your 155 goal by then. I'm rooting for you. I saw the products you took screen shot of, for cocoa? Would you share receipe? If you have time.

Hope your round is going ok Rose. You're starting out where most of us hope to end up, so you're not in bad place at all.

misscast, woohoo, down 2 lbs?! That is awesome drop! Love, love, love those weigh-ins. But they can be tricky, whenever I had those, they sometimes played with me, down, then up and down again, you never know. But so encouraging! When you get those, even if uptick later, they go down to that again--at least that is always how it worked for me. Good job! Your daily weight loss average is right spot on--you're doing great!

Well, I'm finishing this post that started early Saturday morning on Sunday morning , was out late last night, ate pizza, had drinks and 1 beer, snacked a little at home when we got in late--knew I would be up this morning at weigh in, and was. Weighed in at 160.8, which was up 1.6 from Saturday a.m., but still well below last dose weight. I saw this coming, just from my attitude lately. But will be going out of town in 8-9 days so really need to be careful over the next week, don't want to start a week's vacation any closer to last dose weight than what I am now. I really, REALLY need to get back to some P2 meals of GRILLED FISH and grilled veggies this week!

Dubbles, are you in P4? You must be with pizza. I couldn't function with sweets and treats in the house. One advantage to being single.
Sooo hear you on disappointment after a good drop. Being very careful today so I'm not annoyed tomorrow :-)

    Hello all!

Dubbles, I actually need to be in P3 by Saturday, was going to make Wed my last dose day so I would be good to go by Saturday.

I got every last bit of hcg out of the vial this morning to get my to my dose (barely) so today will have to be my last dose day! I am so dissapointed in myself having those drinks the other night really screwed my day up yesterday, oh well, not gonna let it ruin today as I need to remember to just take things one day at a time moving forward. So, I only got a total of 16 doses in me.... that really stinks!! I just hope I can stabilize good, last P3 I did really well, was amazed at what I could eat and never went above my LDW (until I loaded). So, Wednesday will be the start of PI for me, however, that will put me back at P2 at around 18-19 days, so that will most likely be like starting a new round? Or can a PI be that long if I just reload for a day? Any suggestions would be great.

So, my LDW is 158.5 (Only 16 doses of hcg in me)
We shall see how I stabilize. My sister and brother n law are headed over soon so I need to get in the shower and clean up a bit. Will check back later.

    Good Sunday Morning, all!

2lbs, miscast! Whhoo. Hooo! You may go up due to inflammation, volume or just plain cussedness on the part of TESS, but that is now your True Weight! You canít weigh less unless you weigh LESS.

AFM, Iím down only .4 but was just happy to see ANY amount down. One more UP would have wreaked havoc on my little fragile psyche. Iím moving better but still feel stiffness in ankles, backbone, hip joints, so will take it easy again today. I need to mow butÖ prolly not.

Ladies are doing well, Dubs. Thanks for asking. And you are not alone in snacking. I am right there, lock step. I would bury those candies DEEP so you canít see them. You will still know they are there, but having to move half the freezer may slow ya down. Iím single, too, so can get away w nothing in the house I shouldnít eat. That doesnít stop me from PROWLING around looking for SOMETHING!

Job interview tomorrow. Just Zoom so will make my camera a bit blurryÖ

    Onward, all!

    P3 Day 21

Welcome, Gastro! Plenty of time in July left and there will be a new thread for August in August Stick around!

Great losses, misscast! Right on target!

Phoebe, onward Hope the PI goes well and that you get right back into the swing of things. And yes, you will need to re-load. So not a new round since you need to take the days you have done off your total. Kind of an in between thing.

Dubbles, the snacking may be diverted by eating a little more during meals? Or have lunch made up of snacks, like a platter, and spread it out over a couple of hours. Sounds like you are otherwise doing great though!
The recipe is just that: add all ingredients as allowed amounts for P2 for strawberry and milk, and as marked on container for electrolytes and collagen, add a t of cocoa powder, fill with water, and blend. Probably 16oz.

Polly, inflammation is water gain and it can be a lot. Itíll come off over a couple of days. Good luck with the interview!

AFM, Covid negative and kitty is doing better. Dropped .8 so am now at 155.8. Total loss this round from day 2 on is 9.8. I forgot to weigh the first day so this is weight without loading weight added I guess. Not too bad So close to goal and still average losses. I am a little less strict this round too. Instead of measuring strictly, I am eyeballing a little. Having an extra grissini here and there. Would not recommend but I donít mind taking my time to get to goal and I am pretty certain I will get there this round.

Cold is better but not gone. Long one. I guess this is to be expected after over a year of not getting sick at all. Yay masks LOL I think this winter I will definitely keep wearing on in crowded areas.

Looking forward to my PI in a few days. First day is Saturday. Decided to go into it a day earlier because of an impromptu trip to the coast Fri/Sat. I will be in P3 on Sat. Yay eggs and bacon for breakfast!
