Polly, there is something about eating out and salt. I remember reading many oriole will gain a little from water retention.

    Good morning everyone!

I hope you are all doing well and the scale treats you nicely.

I am at 155.6 this morning so .6 over LDW. I had a LOT of food yesterday and an extra meal on NDD2 so I expected it.

Shopping and packing some delicious P3 food this morning and then I am off grid till next Sunday evening. I almost forgot to put tuna and plantain chips on my list! Horror!!

Thanks! It did, amazingly. Was down .8LB this morning. Added to the .2 the day before it's a solid LB in the last 2 days.

Have a great time, you will be missed while off grid :-)

Ssshhh! Please, no--that would mean I am going to pick up another 4.8 lbs as I am now sitting at 4.8 below LDW. Please no. But you never know, I guess.

mrsstrong, I think it is something about eating out period. I have no idea, they must add some kind of enhancers to their foods, seems I gain when eating same foods that I eat at home, when I et them prepared in restaurants. Hate that too.

Agree, 100%. Way to go on your .8 loss today, with .2 yesterday=1 lb loss. Good job, love that! Those add up! You're going in the right direction, last couple of days, me, not so much! Ha!

    Hi!!

    Misscast nice loss!!

Dubbles, so nice that you have all of that wiggle room!!

Robin, welcome, come on in and make yourself comfortable! Love having you here!!

Mrsstrong - enjoy your camping trip!! Have fun!!

Pearly - hope you are doing good!! Darn mesquito bites...I found two on me last night!!

As for me, I am hanging in there, barely! Yesterday was super busy for me. I didn't even weigh myself because I woke up so late, got busy and realized too late that I had forgotten...after eating and coffee. Went for drinks and dinner with my old neighbor who is in town...had way to much wine, chips salsa..her grand daughter kept handing me chips....and I caved! Tried to be good with shrimp and carne asada fajitas, didn't eat the tortillas but did have a mouthfull of black beans.... came home pretty late and realized I have two mesquito bites!! One on the back of my leg...not sure how it got there because I had jeans on, and one on my flippin' eyebrow!! The one of the back on my legs is swollen and sooo itchy, kept waking me up because it was so itchy!! Iced it this morning and Pearly is correct about icing them... it is the only thing that helped with the bad one that got infected on my foot!! And.....I am 2.6#'s above my LDW this morning. This is the first time ever being 2#'s over my LDW in all the rounds I have done! Today, my son and daughter in law come in until Friday and we already have plans to go out to dinner and to a few places my son is going to miss while living in Texas for the next few years!! Uggggg!! Not sure what to do except try to go as long as I can with no food today and when I do eat, I am only going to eat protein. I do not do good with no food all day, I get dizzy and will start to feel sick to my stomach, probably low blood sugar issues but anyway, all I can do is the best I can do. I really hope this is not the beginning of continual gaining because not going the entire 23 days before this PI!! I already purchased a pregnancy test to test the hcg when I return from TX to make sure it is legit and I cannot wait to get back to P2 and hope I will be able to maintain as I cannot get HCG any longer in CA!! Okay...I'm just a little stressed!!

Well, I am super excited that my boy will be back home for a few days!! I can't wait to see them! Hope everyone has a much better start to their day then I've had!! ONWARD
Phoebe~ a.k.a. Karen (Phoebe was a nickname I grew up with that my late dad used to always call me)

    Re Family Reunion:

Reunion starts Thursday, with my other sister and fam coming on Wednesday. 38 people but another 30+ not able to come. We are losing the 'great grandchildren', the kids of my generation. We skipped 5 years after doing every 2 years since the 80's, and those kids went from high schoolers that had to come with their folks to out of school on their own and not interested anymore. Dang.

We did every other time in Iowa, whence we came, and every other time in another location and nobody wanted to go to Iowa 5 years ago. We were scheduled to come here last year, but ... Pandemic. So, now we are trying to regroup. Doing it on the cheap this time around, no lodge, no white water rafting, no catering. There are 3 of us here in town, and we each have at least one sibling and family staying with us, so fewer in hotel. We will start with happy hour gathering on Thursday at my house --the smallest-- then nice dinner out, tho only 24 will be here that night.

Friday we go hiking and sight seeing, then fun at my sister's in the forest on her five acres, with golf frisbee, nerf wars, etc. and a Ham sandwiches and fixings for supper. A memorial for my Mom and two uncles by marriage who we lost this year, and remembering the rest we have lost. We used to have talent shows, but that was for kids to do their piano lesson recitals etc. and will probably do a game this year. Sort of Family Feud / Family Trivia/ etc. (Name Grandma Hazel's siblings: Fern, Otsie, Fay, Glen, June, Seth and Dotha! LOL. 1 point each, cuz even I couldn't win that one without checking Ancestry.com.)

Saturday, Colorado Springs is celebrating its Sesquicentennial (150th anniversary) with parade, street fest, Olympic alums signing autographs, 50 foot - TV screen to watch Tokyo Olympics (US training center here) Pioneer Museum tours, so will do that for entertainment, then either pizza or tacos at my boy (Marine) cousin's, with fire pit and karaoke. Sunday, just brunch and hotel pool and trips to the airport.

Okay, I'm gonna overshare and rant a bit. You are welcome to skip or skim.

I planned to mow yesterday, but ...rain. I could mow today, but I am so tired. So will call around tomorrow and hire someone. I have been reducing my T3 thyroid meds as demanded by endocrinologist, as my 'free T3' is too high and of course, it is only the numbers that count, not how I feel. She wanted me to cut it by 50% but when I practically fell apart in her office (I've tried that twice for different endos with horrible results) she said I could reduce gradually. I was down by 30% lowering by 5mcg every week or so, but I've reached a point where live is not worth living this tired and with all over aches and feeling blue and ... yeah. Bleh memory and brains covered in maple syrup---sloowwwwwww. Did it affect that zoom interview where I didn't get a second? Who knows?

Pain pills lately have not been just for stiffness from overdoing, but general burning aches that make me want to crawl back in bed. Some days worse than others. No wonder I have been jumping up and down with weight. I sometimes take a tiny 1/8th pain pill just to get stuff done as unlike most people, they don't make me sleepy, but rev me up. I admit I have done that once every month or two usually. It has helped this last year that has been hard on me, physically, anyway, with continuing shortness of breath from bronchitis or as some think, Covid. I've resorted to it 8 times in the last 10 days. Not good. Even 12% of an opioid is addicting and I don't need that!

I decided to go back up to 75% of my T3 dose for this week, but will probably go up to 80% for the next few days so I can function. I will also call and see if I can get a test to see where I am on the free T3 at this point. I can't see why I should keep reducing without tracking whether it is helping. I know too much T3 can cause shortness of breath, but I haven't seen any change in that both of the other times I tried this, or this time yet. Could be that I don't get short of breath while sitting on the couch staring into space, which is about the only activity I can do right now.

    Oversharing done.

    Rant still continues...

In addition, I shouldn't have been so cocky about that carrot cake. I greedily finished it off yesterday, and I'm up 2.2 over night. Ugh. I have read that things that you crave are things that you may have an allergic sensitivity to. Of course. (eye roll.) So, will be careful today. I didn't eat enough yesterday overall, so there ya go. Out of balance.

Okay. I am obviously in a baaaaad mood. Little overwhelmed. Little crabby. Little up on weight. *&%$^*@1#+*^.

    onward. I guess.
