Phoebe, yes I'm day 5 in P2 and down 5LBs so happy with my first week.

Looks like we are the same weight. Even though you're starting another round and I'll be a week ahead of you, we should be on a similar track. What's your goal this round? Mine's 150 but would be happy with 155 for now.

Hi! I will be happy with what I can get in this round. My ultimate goal would be 145 but I will be happy with 150 or close to that. I have to go out of town in the beginning of August so I will possibly do a PI at the end of July if my losses are slow. It is hard to get HCG in California now, so I am going to really try to get the most out of this round as I don't know when I will be able to get it again out here! After this round I really need to start to exercise to tone up! Is your ultimate goal 150? Or are you doing multiple rounds?

So far it looks like you are doing great!! 5 lbs in one week!! Woohoo!!

4th of July weekend already! I was hoping to at least have one BBQ this weekend but I just did not get my stuff together. I may throw out an offer to the neighbors for an impromptu burger grill event. How I love my burgers on P2: 94% lean been patty with a thick slice of tomato and caramelized onions.

Great job on the loss, RK! You’ll get below again with diligence, I am sure! What a great shopping idea!

    Phoebe, happy loading!

Polly, you are such a good furry friend owner! I hope you get the job!

Karbee, awesome! Hope to be there soon! Good luck at that gathering tomorrow!

Misscast, looks like 150 is a magic number for many of us! Great first week loss! I guess I am in between you and Phoebe round wise!

AFM, I am at 163 this morning. Was at a birth overnight and so I am not quite sure what my actual weight is. I came home at 6am, ate fat free yogurt as protein which is a rescue food when I am don’t have time or energy to cook, slept for a few hours and then weighed after a shower. We shall see in the morning. Being up all night did make me a bit hungry but I was fine after I ate.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

145 is my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow :-)
    Your stats are amazing!
I started at 183 a year ago as well, but that was 2 rounds ago! I'm on R3 now, R2 was a bit of a wash because I gained back 5lbs before starting this 3rd one.
I miss California! Left LA for the wilds of upstate NY 2 years ago.

Good Saturday morning ladies! Today is going to be my first load day. It's been unusually muggy these last few days! I am running my a/c everyday and am more happy then ever that we decided to get solar last year!! Now just hoping my A/C unit holds strong...it's 22 years old!

Misscast, so many people are moving out of California, usually to go to TX, AZ or ID (somewhere where you aren't paying such high taxes). My daughter and I visited NY for the first time ever a few years ago in the fall. It was beautiful but crazy crowded. We did all of the touristy things and I had an aweful cold at the time with barely any voice but we made the most of it!! My losses this past round went really well, I had my son's wedding and the dress I got was tight around the rib cage area so I had to do something. I was pretty focused. Haha...this round I am hoping to just stick with it long enough to at least get down to 150. Of course I would love 145 so I will just wait and see how long this round will be for me.

Today I weighed in at 166.6 YIKES!! Did not like seeing those tripple sixes in a row like that!! Ha! But that is .9#'s above my LDW. I can't believe how well I stabilized this past round, not making the best food choices either!! We will see how my loading goes today and tomorrow and see if 145 is even an option for me. If I gain 3 pounds that means I need to lose 20#'s to get to 150 (which I will be happy with) We shall see...

Have a great day today and 4th of July. We aren't doing a whole lot. We always go to breakfast and watch the parade with neighbors and then BBQ and watch fireworks. They have cancelled the parade on us again this year, so won't be doing that. This year one of my neighbors who is a fireman, got some fireworks when they went to AZ so I guess we will be seeing that show real up close!!

    Stay safe and have fun!

Wow, Phoebe, we really are on the same track. This morning I weighed in at 166.2. At least it wasn't 666 :-)

Not crowded where I am. I'm up north in the woods. Taxes are as high in NYS as CA though. I would say pro rated, my property taxes may even be higher than CA if you can believe that.

Ha!! Right about the 166.6 weight!!?? Wow, we are really close except after 2 days of loading, I weighed in at an even 170 this am. Really hoping the load weight comes off quickly!! I literally felt gross last night, my stomach felt so full and I woke up with heartburn and couldn't get back to sleep for about 2 hours.... not fun!! And yikes on the property taxes, although it doesn't surprise me too much, I have heard CA & NY are pretty close when it comes to taxes!! I was born and raised here though so I really don't know anything else.

Jumping on here realy quick. Pups are napping and I may just have to join them! Just got done making chicken in the instapot and seperating it into baggies for the week. Today is P2 day 1 for me. Gained a total of 3.4#'s loading...ugh... my stomach still feels pretty lousy! I am looking forward to the straight forward eating plan in P2, I pretty much know what I can eat and what I can't, which for me makes it much easier! I think I am going to have a hard time though with my horrible sweet tooth!! Apples are my go to during P2, also strawberries. I tend to gain if I eat an orange and grapefruit is hard to stomach for me without sugar on it. Here's hoping the apples/strawberries will satisfy my sweet tooth!!

Hope everyone had a happy 4th!

    P2 Day 8

    Hi everyone!

So quiet around here! Not sure how much I lost the first week since the first time I weighed it was day 2 of P2 but I am now at 160.4. Woot! I don't think I will break the barrier tomorrow though and I probably will gain. Had guests this evening and had a little sangria and a small amount of a salad. Fingers crossed it is not too bad.

    Happy P2, Polly!
misscast, hope things are going well!

Mrs., Not me waiting for fresh Hcg. My goal is to NEVER DO THIS AGAIN! LOL. But I do have a short round's worth of syringes in the freezer.... just in case. But thank you for thinking of me!

I was down 2.4 below LDW over the weekend, so I tried adding something new that I always thought was fine for me. NOT! I had a small serving of sweet potato ---I like the ones that are a light yellow inside rather than the deep orange --- and I guess we will see if the little dogs like sweet potatoes! I cooked the whole large one, but just had the end off of it. They are pretty dense so a 3 inch piece was 5 ounces. And....I'm up 1.2 today overnight. So, guess not! I had nothing else that I hadn't cleared several times.

I realized when I put it on my plate that I really didn't need it. It was good, but I had enough other things to be not only satisfied but happy! So, I guess I can rule that out at least for a while. I might try again another day. Thank goodness I had some wiggle room so I don't have to worry about going over my window.

Who knew? I used to think that kind of sweet potato was my friend.

I perfected something else over the weekend. P2 ers, make a note for later!

In P3, I make a a variation of and old Suzanne Somers oopsie bread recipe. It easily makes a nice pancake batter. I eat with berries and Redi Whip. It's 2 ounces of cream cheese and 2 eggs, with a tsp of vanilla. It needs to be whrred in a food processor, chopper or blender, and it helps a lot if the cream cheese sits out until softened. But then it makes a nice, tho fragile crepe-like pancacke. Makes 5 or 6 small pancakes. I enjoy with berries and Redi whip. Lots of protein, lots of fat, very few carbs.

I have tried to make waffles out of the same batter, but while the pancakes are ok if they are a little crepe-like, the waffles were a bit fragile. It worked, but were basically pancakes with dents. My other problem with this recipe is that I never seem to get back to my cream cheese to use it again before it turns green. Bleh. So, it dawned on me that I need to use all the cream cheese in one go, and freeze or refrigerate the waffles for later. But if they thaw, they probably wouldn't stand up in the toaster to reheat.

So, for a p4 version, I added 1 tablespoon of pancake mix ( used Bisquick) to each 2 ounce cream cheese/2 egg batter mix. Each batter made 3 nice waffles in my mini waffle maker. Probably one in the larger family size waffle maker. Nice and sturdy and look just like Legos! I did the math and it added 1.5 carb grams per waffle. Which is certainly workable. I had some Saturday, and was down Sunday. I had some Sunday and was down yesterday. So they worked for me. Very decadent.

My nephew was here for a sleep over and he could not tell the difference from his toaster waffles by looking. The original recipe called for a bit of sweetener, so if too plain, that's an option, too.

I have another baggie of 3 in the freezer for the next time I feel like waffles! Whoo hoo!

    Onward!
