Thread: LOVELY LOSERS 2021 - You're HOTTER than JULY!!!

  1. #73
157.4 this morning. Down .2 LOL Making it count. My back is the same. I can do more than before my massage but it is still hurting and inhibiting free movement. I am also sick with a cold or something. Swollen throat glands. It is not bad but just making me feel blech. I am thinking it may be a healing crisis. I haven't gotten down this low with HCG before. Ten years ago, I lost these last ten pounds with keto, so I am wondering if this is a cleansing/detox reaction to moving this old fat with HCG. Either way, the only way to get to the other side is through it.

Happy maintaining, Dubbles and Polly! I hope you both are also more relaxed about eating and just living at this new weight. That is the goal, right? No one wants to keep hyperfocused on every bite. I really hope to get really good at knowing what my normal is, what happens when I am off my normal and for how long, like after a big meal out or a celebration, and then trust that my body corrects itself if I give it the appropriate time and food. This last P4 gave me a glimpse of that and it was bliss. I can have a little pie and ice cream without it imploding in my fat cells!

Phoebe, misscast, great work in P2! Glad to have you guys' company here!

Great idea! Not there yet. LOL. I no longer track calories and carbs in an app but I'm not exactly free-styling here. I eat what I know I can, and test other stuff. But I do keep stuff "light carb" to make sure I don't mess this up.

Most of my carbs come from 'within' dairy, fresh berries and apples for fruit (LOVE berry season, but it is running it's course. I'll be back to frozen blueberries at some point) and low starch veggies. I think I eat more fresh veggies than a lot of vegans I know (who buy processed fake stuff but walk right past the produce section...)

Once in a while, I'll have a shortbread cookie, a slice of 'thin sliced' bread, or at a party, cake!

But I am a snack monster. If I stop cooking and watching what I eat, I'll be back to the potato chips and cheese. Eat the whole cake myself. Etc.

I don't mind eating like this as it is healthy. I balance pork rinds and full fat dairy by cooking with with avocado oil, roasting asparagus and peppers, eating berries and sliced almonds for dessert. LOTS of chicken!

    Onward! P

Hi! Busy morning for me as soon as I woke up. Weighed in at 161#'s this morning. Would really like to get as close to 150 as I can in the next 2 weeks. I know it's a tall order because the stalls and smaller losses are sure to come, but a girl can hope!! I was reading that for my height, (5'8") a normal weight is anywhere between 126 - 154 lbs. that's a pretty large spread but then I also read about bone size so I did the measurement of my wrist and I am definatley big boned. Anything over 7.5 is considered large boned and I am 7.6. So, all that being said, I am thinking 145-150 would be an ideal weight for me. I know I won't get there before I go on my PI, but I will get there eventually and hopefully maintain and tone up afterwards. * At least that is the plan.

Mrsstrong, interesting about the possible cleansing/detox reaction. I am sure that could happen. Hopefully your back gets back to normal soon.... I have had many back and neck issues over the years and I know how it is. I alwasys say how I take for granted when my back/neck feels good, because when it doesn't....it's no fun!! Feel better!

Misscast, a hate stalls and gains.... but it sounds like you have a good mindset... just have to trust the process and that scale will start moving in the right direction. I also so admire those that can play the piano...and sing...NOBODY wants to hear my singing voice... not even me most of the time... haha, but it sounds like you have a great profession!! Congrats!!

Pearly, Dubbs... have some cheese/nuts/bacon/peanut butter...for me?? Please?? I did a skip day yesterday, got hungry when it was time to eat and was a little hungry when I went to bed but nothing terrible.. but I am sure starting to look forward to my PI and P3 and some different food. Last round I really didn't even think of it... but this time.. .it's pretty bad!

    VLCD8 161#'s Down 9 total so far.

Not tracking was a huge win for me this past round. It was so hard before that. I felt so lost. I am still careful too of course. What you describe sounds very much like what I do/how I eat. I hear you one vegans eating crap LOL Know some of those. I am the same snacking-wise: I have to prepare meals or I snack and it is a downward spiral from there.

    Good evening lovelies,

I have had some kind of stomach bug, and gosh it is strange to feel this Ooky and weak and keep plugging away. I am really uncomfortable... but this will pass. I hope everyone is doing great. I was in my window, but while I have not been eating a ton, I have been eating and my stomach looks big to me. I am sure it will go away soon. It is just inflammation I think. I have had more carbs than I usually have. I have to go to Northern California Thursday through Saturday. I hope I can make it.

My plan is to really pound the herbal tea and lemon water tomorrow. I hope I have not gained....I am quite worried but It will drop off... I have been looking over the Trim Healthy Mama plan for long term maintenance. Has anyone tried it?

Phoebe you looked so great in those pictures! The dress looked like it was a perfect fit. Glad to read that everyone is doing great.
I will read back but I am sending everyone good wishes.

Mrsstrong, Byzantine chant? How interesting. Is that similar to Gregorian? I totally believe healing crises. Our bodies store nasties like chemicals in our fat to lock them away so when we burn the fat they get released. Not to get too woo woo but I also feel like I have emotional releases when I burn old fat as well.

Phoebe, that weight range might seem large but at least it takes into consideration bone mass. Your muscle mass makes a difference too. That's why BMI isn't great, doesn't take those things into account. Bodybuilders are out of BMI range but certainly not obese.

Had a small loss this morning. Day 16 for me, down 7 lbs, which puts me a little behind my usual schedule where I average out to .5 LB/day. Hopefully I'll get to join you guys in the 150's club by next week :-)

RK, we have to find that balance between being food cops and being normal, don't we. :-) Hope you're feeling better.

    Good Morning Lovelies,

I am about 50% better but made the huge mistake of stepping on the scale this morning and I am up 5 pounds! I am sure it is inflammation because I am sick. Silly me, I thought I would go down in weight! My plan is to really hit the water with lemon and herb tea today. Strangely I don’t even feel like drinking coffee! I am sure by flushing everything out I will feel better.

I hope everyone has a great day and stays cool!

Get well, RK. Yes, being sick will do that! I have been feeling under the weather and although I have not gained, I am also not losing. Not wanting coffee is always a sign for me too that I am not well! I hope you feel all the way better by the time you go on your trip.

misscast, Byzantine chant is much more complex I think. Gregorian evolved out of it. Lots of microtones and non-Western scales in Byzantine Chant, with Middle Eastern sounds since this is where it originated.

Tracy, Kar, I see you! Hope you are doing well!

Phoebe, that is a great loss for 8 days!

AFM, stayed at 157.4 today. I have been able to lay low since last Thursday but today I have two meetings and just need to start doing stuff again. My back is on the mend but still aching, and I still wake up with a sore throat every morning.

Mrs. Strong so heart sorry to hear about your back! Are you on the ice treatment or what is working for you? One of my mothers 90 year old friends gave me some alcohol with marijuana leaves in it. It is now a black liquid and she uses it for her arthritis pain. Apparently it is an old remedy in Mexico called “grandmothers treatment”. I tried it on my back and it seemed to help me. I am also trying to do my exercises. But ice is my best friend especially in this weather ha ha. I hope you feel completely better very very soon and that your meetings today go well.

Yes when I do not feel like drinking coffee it is definitely a sign!

I have a question about heavy whipping cream (HWC) in coffee. Do people add other things to it? Is there a reason people like this? Other than it tastes good? Just curious.

    Warmly,

    Inflammation

Rr, I have always been surprised that after my body reacts to something and clears out until my insides have be be shiny, I do not lose and sometimes gain. I figure it is inflammation which offsets the lost of >ahem< volume and then some.

Do you like Turmeric Tea? There is one with Meadowsweet and Ginger that seems to help inflammation quite well. Easy on the stomach as well. The ginger helps upset tums. TEA on Amazon It may be available at Whole foods or the like as well.

    Feel better!

Good morning, I am running way behind this morning but am on hold with our Workers' Comp company so thought I would jump on here. Heading down to take my mom to a dentist appointment today.

I was up .4 this morning... ups and downs!! Oh well, I was actually a little bit hungrier than usual yesterday, not sure if it was because I skipped a day or what or if my stuff is losing its potency. I don't think I will skip a dose again and just use what I have and go on a PI. A little off protocol since I won't have 23 doses in me before the PI but I will have 20 days, if my vial lasts that long, plus the 2 days where it is still in my system so that's very close to 23 days!! (I know, I'm pushing it, haha) I just hope it won't make my stabilization more difficult since I will be out of town, we shall see. Anyone have any experience with a PI before the 23 days??

Whipping cream is a delicious way to add calories when needed or when having a little hunger and you donít feel like eating. Quick filling snack does not result in overeating. That is what it is for me anyway.

Misscast, yes on the emotional releases too!
