Hi Ladies, I am having the worst time posting! For some reason I couldn't post yesterday, and then earlier I typed this long post and thought it was done, but it didn't post and gave a message that I'm not allowed to post, so typed again, and it said something timed out. I gave up for a few minutes but decided to come back one more time. Hope third time is a charm. We'll see.
Seems like everyone is doing OK on their protocols, regardless of phase they are on. But we all seem to be dealing with aches and pains, inflammations, colds, detoxes, back issues, knee issues.....you all AMAZE me with your knowledge of ailments, syndromes alternative medications and healing methods, I admit I am clueless and have absolutely nothing to offer. I wish I did, but since hubby and I both have been so blessed with good health thru the years, just haven't had to research and deal with these things. Only recently have had to deal with arthritic joints and am finding it is a b***h.
Regarding protocol for me, I am Like Polly and really haven't ventured far into P4 land--except for celebration days, when I throw caution to the wind and eat what I want. I basically eat p3, except for adding a few starchy veggies, like carrots--I love carrots, and have eaten them quite a bit, they are quite sweet when cooked in a roast with wine and mushrooms, and also have branched out with sugary fruit like pineapple. Neither seem to affect weight gain. The one thing I wanted to add, but still haven't is bread. I purchased the Ezekiel bread, but it is still in my freezer, haven't used it yet! I don't know what is holding me back. I think in my mind, once I start on bread, I won't stop--it will then be pnut butter and jelly sandwiches and fast food burgers! The floodgates will open up. I have some ground beef for burgers in fridge now, but still not sure I want to have with bread or not tonite.
AFM: I never did get back down to that 159.4 weight that surprised me one morning last weekend. It was so exciting. But bounced back up to 161.4 over subsequent 2 days--but this morning is now back down to 160.4--this morning the scales played with 150's something, but settled on the 160.4--don't know if it will ever get into 50's again until another p2.
Today I was supposed to be leaving for Virginia for my 13 year old grandson's swim meet, but day before yesterday he hit his head on diving board and had to have stitches. They told him no pool for 7 days so meet tonite is out. I decided to wait and go for the Champs Meet at end of month! So rescheduled my ortho doc appointment for this afternoon, will see what they say about my knee! Fortunately It doesn't cause a limp, but it affects my sleep, I can't turn over in bed without pain, and find it hard then to get back to sleep. And of course, getting up and down while gardening is slow and painful. I really thought losing weight would end the knee pain, but seems its not just weight related.
Someone asked about Rose the other day on this thread, I thought--just saw her post on the July thread for P2ers, so may want to check that out. Always good to hear from old friends. And Tracey, if you are out there, hi! Will check back with everyone later! Have a great day. Fingers crossed this will post.
