misscast, Byzantine chant is much more complex I think. Gregorian evolved out of it. Lots of microtones and non-Western scales in Byzantine Chant, with Middle Eastern sounds since this is where it originated.

Tracy, Kar, I see you! Hope you are doing well!

Phoebe, that is a great loss for 8 days!

AFM, stayed at 157.4 today. I have been able to lay low since last Thursday but today I have two meetings and just need to start doing stuff again. My back is on the mend but still aching, and I still wake up with a sore throat every morning.
I love microtones! I sang in a microtonal choir during my undergrad at new england conservatory. It was led by one of the top microtonal composers in the world, Joe Maneri. The Bulgarian Women's Choir cds are my go-to meditation music :-) Amazing ear training - once you can hear and sing microtones a half step seems enormous. Anyway, enough nerding out.

I'm down a half lb today, better than nothing I guess!

Hi Ladies, I am having the worst time posting! For some reason I couldn't post yesterday, and then earlier I typed this long post and thought it was done, but it didn't post and gave a message that I'm not allowed to post, so typed again, and it said something timed out. I gave up for a few minutes but decided to come back one more time. Hope third time is a charm. We'll see.

Seems like everyone is doing OK on their protocols, regardless of phase they are on. But we all seem to be dealing with aches and pains, inflammations, colds, detoxes, back issues, knee issues.....you all AMAZE me with your knowledge of ailments, syndromes alternative medications and healing methods, I admit I am clueless and have absolutely nothing to offer. I wish I did, but since hubby and I both have been so blessed with good health thru the years, just haven't had to research and deal with these things. Only recently have had to deal with arthritic joints and am finding it is a b***h.

Regarding protocol for me, I am Like Polly and really haven't ventured far into P4 land--except for celebration days, when I throw caution to the wind and eat what I want. I basically eat p3, except for adding a few starchy veggies, like carrots--I love carrots, and have eaten them quite a bit, they are quite sweet when cooked in a roast with wine and mushrooms, and also have branched out with sugary fruit like pineapple. Neither seem to affect weight gain. The one thing I wanted to add, but still haven't is bread. I purchased the Ezekiel bread, but it is still in my freezer, haven't used it yet! I don't know what is holding me back. I think in my mind, once I start on bread, I won't stop--it will then be pnut butter and jelly sandwiches and fast food burgers! The floodgates will open up. I have some ground beef for burgers in fridge now, but still not sure I want to have with bread or not tonite.

AFM: I never did get back down to that 159.4 weight that surprised me one morning last weekend. It was so exciting. But bounced back up to 161.4 over subsequent 2 days--but this morning is now back down to 160.4--this morning the scales played with 150's something, but settled on the 160.4--don't know if it will ever get into 50's again until another p2.

Today I was supposed to be leaving for Virginia for my 13 year old grandson's swim meet, but day before yesterday he hit his head on diving board and had to have stitches. They told him no pool for 7 days so meet tonite is out. I decided to wait and go for the Champs Meet at end of month! So rescheduled my ortho doc appointment for this afternoon, will see what they say about my knee! Fortunately It doesn't cause a limp, but it affects my sleep, I can't turn over in bed without pain, and find it hard then to get back to sleep. And of course, getting up and down while gardening is slow and painful. I really thought losing weight would end the knee pain, but seems its not just weight related.

Someone asked about Rose the other day on this thread, I thought--just saw her post on the July thread for P2ers, so may want to check that out. Always good to hear from old friends. And Tracey, if you are out there, hi! Will check back with everyone later! Have a great day. Fingers crossed this will post.

Awesome! Once used to it, it sings much more naturally IMO. Geek out on this: https://youtu.be/8ksEgUIlers

So sorry about your grandson, Dubbles! Ouch. And your knee. Hope you find answers!
160.4 is not bad at all, my dear!

Good mornoing all, I have a little bit of a dilemma I am hoping you all can maybe weigh in on what you would do? This morning when I did my injection, I noticed how little hcg I have left in the vial...I am hoping it looks like a little but there is more then what it looks like (if you know what I mean), anyway, if it gets me to the end of next week, that would be great, but if not...that means I will only be doing a really short, a not on protocol round, (which i will be doing by taking a PI before 23 injections anyway, but going on a PI next week I will have had 21 injections total but at least pretty close to the 23 required) BUT....if I don't have enough to get me there, what should I do? I have another round from colin f watson, which I have heard, once mixed, will only last 3 weeks or 23 days and this wasn't easy to obtain since HCG is no longer allowed to be shipped to CA. Even if I mix the other hcg that I have, I will be going on a PI, since I will be traveling, and won't be able to continue until Aug. 6th, which means the hcg will most likely have lost its potency by then.

So....ha! While writing all of the above, I pretty much decided that I am going to have to just go rogue this round (Have never done that before), hope the vial lasts me longer then it looks, and just go into a PI when I run out and pray that I stabilize during my PI, then just get back to it on Aug. 6th. Any thoughts or experiences that you have had or heard of, please share.

Today is VLCD10 for me and I was down 1.5#'s to exactly 159.9!! WooHoo.... the 150's!! Haven't been here for many years!!

Thank you!! It does give me a new attitude today!! Ha! Still so close to the 160's though... I know how I can fluctuate during a round so I am going to make sure I am POP!

Phoebe. Congrats on your losses. Btw i always think i am going to run out of hcg when i look at how little is in the bottle and sm always amazed that i actually had plenty left. I think you will be fine. I need to do a long round and i was thinking same thing but i know from past experience i will be fine.

Phoebe, I agree with Rose--On one of my rounds this year I agonized on if I had enough for the round, looked like there was so little solution in the vial, but in the end found there was more in the vial than I thought. and I had plenty--more than enough to get through my round. either way, you can only do with what you have. Congratulations on getting into the 150s! Feels good doesn't it!

AFM: I'm getting ready to go to pool to sit and read, it hasn't been weather to go for over a week, but today is pretty, and I'm going! Have a new book, the dogs are at daycare and I'm going to relax. Went to ortho doc yesterday, they gave me a shot for pain in both knees and once they get approval from my insurance company, plan to do the gel injection for cushioning--for cartilage. It should last longer than cortisone shots--IF it works. Won't know till we try it. Fingers crossed. his morning weigh in was 159.8, so Phoebe, I'm right there with you. I feel like this 159 something is more true than the sudden drop last Saturday--hopefully it will stick, as it was gradual, the other was a sudden dramatic drop, very unexpected. Maybe this will be a gradual downward turn. Who knows. Goal weight is still 150, but know I will need another round of p2 to reach that at some point. Have a great afternoon everyone, will check back in later!

Hi Rose, thank you for your comment!! I hope so, it doesn't look like very much and I will at some point not be able to stick the needle all the way in, but crossing my fingers it gets me to next week. Best of luck on your round, I did hcg back in 2011 as well and I think I remember you! This is the only diet that ever really works for me and the one I know I won't cheat on. I am excited and looking forward to seeing your success on this round!!

Dubbles I am sorry to hear about your grandson and his head!! Those things happen, I know especially with boys and sports, hopefully he heals quickly. How did your appointment go?

AFM, I am up .6 today so the 150's did not last very long! All of that water filling up all of those fat cells can drive a girl crazy!! I literally said out loud "Are you kidding me??" to my scale this morning!! Grrrr.... lol!! Oh well, it seems that is how I roll in my rounds of hcg...up a little down a little, but eventually down more then up, so that's good.

Hi Dubbles looks like I was probably writing at the same time you were. You are doing so well stabilizing! Good for you!! Glad to hear that your appointment went well and they are treating you!! Hopefully their treatment plan works!! And...yeah...about that 159.9 yesterday...it's gone now! But that always seems to happen to me so I somewhat expected it. Onward as Pearly says!

157 this morning. Took 5 days to drop a pound *rolls eyes*

My back is 95% better but my cold is not. It is really hard to do this with a cold because I want (and have taken) throat drops here and there for soothing. What I really want is honey but will hold off.

I felt like throwing in the towel yesterday and felt like snacking all day but I am sticking to it! Just adding a lot of electrolytes, salt, vitamins, etc.
