Welcome Theresa! I don’t really have any great wisdom to share but we know every round is different and the scale doesn’t always reflect to real changes going on in your body. Your successes are inspiring to me, I appreciate you sharing!

Back in 2012 I lost 65 lbs in 5 1/2 months doing HCG. It was awesome. I kept it off for about 3 yrs until my mom passed away and I was in a deep depression and downward spirals. I gained those 65 lbs back and 45 lbs more. This is my second round and I day 29. I have only lost 12lbs so far which is really slow for me. Last round I did great. I started at 236.3 and am now at 190.4. First round I lost almost 35 lbs including the 5 I lost in P3. Now I'm just at 12 lb loss. I haven't done anything different so I'm not sure why losses are so slow. I came here to get some advice and words of wisdom from all you wonderful people!!
    Hi teetee and welcome!
Sorry for the loss of your mom. {{{Hugs}}} I don't know that I have any words of wisdom, but I want to encourage you! You didn't say when your first round was, but if you take a step back and look at the big picture, you've lost 45.9 pounds overall so far in 2 rounds! I think that's awesome! It also means you are probably close to an old set point of where you started in 2012. Your body LIKES those old set points! And as Rose said, age and activity level can be factors too.

Don't be discouraged. I've had rounds where I only lost 8 or 10 pounds. Keep your eye on the prize. You've done this before, you can do it again! If you kept records of your old rounds back in 2012, maybe have a look at those and chart out you progress in various rounds to compare with. Most of all, give yourself credit for the progress you've made so far!

Down another fraction of a pound, so definitely on track. Day 10 VLCD and down almost 7 pounds in 7 days. That's pretty darn good when I put it that way.

Feeling blue today, though, and kind of beating myself up for needing another round. Also wishing I'd stepped on the scale before VLCD 3 so I had that bigger number to increase my losses. It's that psychological game.

My period is due later this week, so these blahs are par for the course. I'm also not sleeping the best. I guess that should make me feel extra good about the relatively consistent losses. I'm just so eager to fit into more than two pairs of my pants. . . .

    Oh well. Onward and upward.

Welcome Debegrace and Theresa. Glad we're in this together!

    Hi everyone,

I am back on the HCG bandwagon after having lost abt 40 lbs on it back in 2015. Things have changed a lot since then!

After I lost the weight, I was able to keep it off for about 2 years. But then it slowly started creeping back on, and now I'm even bigger than before. I was considering bariatric surgery, but it takes sooo long to get approved for that, and I am just sick of being so big.

This is the end of my first week on VLCD. So far I've lost 7 lbs, and I'm really happy with how things are going. This time I'm using pellets from Intermountain instead of injections. The hunger is becoming an issue and I'm thinking of maybe switching from three pellets three times a day to the two pellets six times a day. But then I wonder what schedule I should use for that. Also, I forgot what sort of snacks we can carry with us while on VLCD that are on program. If I recall correctly, I think I got through it the last time with a lot of coffee and sugar-free chewing gum.

I hope you're all doing well, and it's going to be really cool for us to all get sexy for summer!

Hi all, I'm on VLCD14. Down 8.8lb so far, including a 0.5lb increase overnight. I'm not sure why, I feel like I might be around a set point so perhaps I'll bounce around this weight for a few days. We'll see what happens!

H Linderlou!! Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement! I truly appreciate them. I started my first round (load day) on Dec. 26th. And yes you're 100% right -- I'm at the exact same weight I was at when I did HCG for the first time in 2012!! How did you know that?? That's amazing!! I guess it makes sense. I feel like my body wants me to stay at this point. It just doesn't want to go under 190. It's like 2. or .4 and it get discouraging especially when you know you're following the diet to the letter. But I will stay the course and keep going until I reach my goal. It just seems like a long way off.

Be sure you drink at least 80-100 oz water each day. It makes a dif. Also are u using rx inj or hcg? Maybe diff formula. Are u hungry? Other than normal mealtime hunger. I want to encourage you. It took a few years to put the weight back on. Your activity level and age have changed. Check your thyroid level too.
Hi Rose!! Thanks for your response. I'm using HCG drops. No, I'm not hungry at all except for meal time and sometimes not even then. Sometimes I don't even eat all 500 calories. Yes, I'm older now and my metabolism slowed down I guess. My thyroid is ok. I had such high hopes for this round since I did so well last round but I guess every round is different. I will just stay the course and hope for the best.

LOL - I did the math! If you lost 65, then gained it back plus another 45, and now you have lost 45, viola! That's most likely where you started in 2012. Just stay strong and keep going. Your body will eventually give in and go with the flow. I know it seems like a long way off, but you can do it. It's a positive step that you came to the forums for support. I know I can't really talk in detail with people around me about this diet because of all of the negative press with hcg, so it is nice to be able to come here and share with folks who are going through the same journey.

Oh yes you're right.... duh...I don't even realize that.. lol! Yes it's definitely nice to have other people to talk to about this diet who share the same type of experience and problems. You're right there is so much negativity about it I never talk to anyone about it. Thank you for your positivity and wisdom. I'm just going to keep going and stay the course.

BlueAura - I had the same question about adjusting pellets, hopefully this thread will help. Doing a skip day to gauge whether you need to go higher or lower with the dose is still a thing on pellets and the best way to start figuring out an adjustment.

    Adjusting Intermountain pellets?
