I make my food from canned tomatoes or diced and try to get no salt when possible. Is this just something tomatoes do or might I have an inflammation issue with tomatoes? Thank you!
Chili, tomatoes in soup etc are a killer for me. I made some P3 chili with lamb and grass fed beef. It has a ton of chili/spice and tomato paste. Eating that brings an automatic 2lb bump on the scale the next day. So it is all in the freezer waiting for P4. Even my P2 chili leads to stalls at best. And as a Texan, I love chili. It seems to be a perfect food for this protocol. But it apparently is not.

I made a vegetable soup last week. It had tomato in it as well. Same 1-2 lb gains next day. So no soups either for this kid. Nothing else in the diet that I could point to that was problematic. Not going to try to explain. Just sticking with salads or sauteed vegetables as I do well there.

I think I may have told you about my soup troubles in P2 as well. I'm not even in a round now, (so it's P4), but a funny thing is yesterday, I decided to make some chicken soup with just boneless skinless chicken breast, unsalted bone broth, and a hand ful of pearl onions. I ate half for lunch, and the rest for dinner. Lo and behold I was up .6 today. A few weeks ago, I ate a whole rotisserie skin on chicken for lunch and the rest for dinner and was down 1 lb. the next day.

LOVELY LOSERS 2022 - FIT & FOCUSED in February!!!

Cheers to every buddy. Hope you have a great day!

I am still bouncing around. It took me more than a week to get back under LIW,then I gained half of it back overnight. Down .4, up .6. Sheesh. Down .8 today, so back under LIW by .2 but good grief!

If this was happening at a couple of pounds below LIW, where I was for the last 7+ months, it would just be some kind of wild fluctuations. But why the heck did I suddenly Fluctuate 4-5 pounds and now keep bouncing around in basically the same pound? (The one that puts me up 4-5 from where I was) its a puzzlement.

Whine, complain, grumble, waaah waaah waaah.

    Onward.

I’ve heard a lot of people talk about canned tomatoes and getting gains. I really never had a problem with them and I love my tomatoes both fresh and canned. I do use Hunts brand, which are processed with boiling water instead of chemicals. I wonder if that makes a difference?

Pearlie, I am in the same boat. Up about 5-7 pounds from where I was comfortably sailing (mid 130's) and the gain just happened over a couple of weeks. Trying to tweak things to get a downward trend again. But I blame winter---it changes your activities for one thing, and I find that when I'm cold I seem to want to eat more often. So even if I'm not eating big amounts, it still could be more than I need. I don't know what it is about winter, but I can't seem to stay warm even with clothing layers and higher indoor temps than at other times of the year. I might try bumping up my T3 meds and see if that helps.

Tomato thoughts: The chemical thing with tomatoes could be a factor. I also switched to Hunts when I found out about the processing. Also, people that react to tomatoes could have some sensitivity to nightshades (tomatoes, peppers, hot sauces with chili, paprika or cayenne, etc) That might explain some peoples problem with "P2 chili". Or if its only a problem in P2, it could be from the chili spices, as the protocol lists peppers as detrimental on P2.

Hello everyone. It’s been a couple years since my last HCG round. I’m so excited to get back into it and happy to see that this forum still rolling. I did the original hCG protocol for about two years with great results and I must say it was the best I ever felt. This will be the first round using Diet Doc. I’ve always used the B12 mixed in with HCG but this time it’s separate injections 5 days a week. Prefer to inject in the stomach which is not the instructions from Diet Doc. Does anyone know why B12 injections in the stomach would be an issue? Technically that’s what I was doing before with a combo.

I’m looking forward to chatting with you all.

    Hey there February group!

I haven't wanted to post on here because I legitimately have tried and failed this diet well over 20 times the last few years. I did a successful round back in 2012 kept it off for a year. Had to go on Prednisone for almost a year and just have battled ever since. I'm 10 years older and 30 pounds heavier so boo on that.

Anywhooo loaded last week started VLCD1 at 163.5 on Saturday and I'm down to 156.8 today. I have stuck with it!! I always try to lose the weight on my own and I always fail. I cannot fail this year! I am so tired of not being comfortable in my body. I know HCG works and I'm almost 1 week in already!

So I'm here Oh I'm doing to one a day pellet and it's CRAZY because I have no hunger. It's SO easy just taking one pellet in the am!! LOVE it.

I have b12 shots, too, my first time ever, separate. It's intramuscular, so I have to look up how to do that it says 1mil 2x week or something. I only know how to do subcutaneous hcg shots, so the b12 thing I have to look up how to do (different needles given with it, too).

    -80 pounds!

I keep gaining 20 to 25 of it back, I take off 5 pounds myself and then I do a round and lose 20 lbs. So I have done a total of 7 rounds. I am on my 8th round, taking the SAME 20 lbs off. ugh. But at least I don't gain 80 back!

I weighed in yesterday. I need to do about 1.5 rounds to get to my lowest weight lol. Not quite 2 diets, a little more than 1. So I'll be happy to lose over 15 with this one and see from there about doing 1 more. I start my VLCd tomorrow...I canceled my physical therapy appt Monday (they work me out a full hour of intense workout) and I figured I wouldn't be up to it, my stomach after "loading" is usually upset, I'll be a bit tired/detoxing b/c I've had a lot of diet soda/and chemicals over the past 6 months (detox!).

I'm excited to get thin again, here we go!

Cupcake I'm hoping to lose over 15 this round too - get to hopefully 145 then another round to get that last 10 off. Good luck!

How is everyone else doing? Is anyone else doing a round right now? Jessieb how you doing?

Its day 7 for me. I'm still massively shocked I've stayed on this long - I usually bail after a couple of days and VOW to lose it on my own without HCG which never goes well ha ha!

Anyway down another 1 at 155.8 right now so a total of 7.7 in 7 days. I don't think I lost that well even in my very first round!

Super Bowl tomorrow of course I'm making a bunch of amazing food. Meh. I love my keto foods after HCG and I'll get back to them. For now I'm super focused on getting this weight OFF.

Jo1970, it sound like you are doing well this round. Getting back to being comfortable in your body is so great -

One pellet a day is much more convenient than drops or pellets 3 x a day! And easier to travel with than syringes. I continue to be amazed that hhcg works as well as rx.

Cupcakesoaps, I hope you make your goal. Don't rush into the 2nd round, I did that and lost very little. Discouraging, especially since I was using rx, so expensive. After that, I waited longer and used hhcg, and had much better results.

Jo, I still eat keto on hhcg: I just eliminated most of the fats. I ate the hcg 2.0 way with no more carbs and about the same protein as my regular keto diet. I did allow myself one morning coffee with heavy cream, it made me feel better than 100% avoidance.
