A bit disappointed since it’s just week 2. I waited a solid 2+ months since round 1 to do this round. Am I doing something wrong? Isn’t it a bit early to face a (mini) plateau?
Not too early. Most people face a significant slowdown in week 2. What is happening is during week 1, your body is clearing out inflammation weight (water) along with some fat and in week two, your water stores start to normalize so that fat loss alone will start showing up on the scale soon.

Condolences for your losses. Grief is such a sneaky emotion and my thoughts are with you.

VLCD 11 and I've released 8 lbs with another 8-10 to go. I've probably been eating too much as yesterday did eat less and dropped a couple of lbs. I seem to be hungry at one time and then the rest of the day not that interested. Any one else experiencing this?

    Happy Tuesday!
    Day 9 with 9.4 gone!!
What I do if I have breakthrough hunger is to eat half my apple and save it for if I am hungry in the afternoon. With my breadsticks, I like to have one in the morning and then after dinner when my husbands usually eating on something just so I feel normal. So far I haven't felt any hunger except for mealtimes but its early on yet. Thanks y'all for all the kind thoughts. It was sudden and unexpected which is part of the lingering sadness and shock part but pushing through, this is going to be a tough year, but one foot in front of the other.

    Cheers all!
    Jeanette

Lovely Losers 2022 - JOYFUL and JUBILANT in January!!

2manydays, we are almost twinners! Iím also Day 9 and down 9.6. Way to go!

Im sorry for your loss. Itís such a rough thing to go through! My dad passed in September and it is really emotional at times. Other times Iím okay. I know he is watching out for me though and that brings me comfort.

    Day 3 - down 2.6

As Leez says, early days are inflammation. Not complaining, though. After loading I was up 5.5 LBs from my last LDW.

Robineka - Grammy had written something to me about dosage and the difference between afternoon and evening hunger. I was starving in the afternoon but fine at night. Unfortunately I can't remember exactly which was which but I think lowering for afternoon hunger was the key.

I'm doing Intermountain pellets and instead of the suggested 3/3X/day I'm doing 2/4X/day cause that helped me with my afternoon willies.

So the same as yesterday but expected the slowdown.

Usually, at the beginning takes me two days for the bigger losses to surface which is what happened this go also.

Sorry to hear about your dad, I think with daughters/fathers that relationship is so close it is traumatic when they go. My dad died in 2016, kinda grateful he didn't have to live through this Covid crap. It was my 35 yr old nephew who died, my sisters only child and its been rough.

So today will be an apple, a tiny hamburger for lunch, fish for dinner with cucumbers. I like to think ahead!

    Happy hump day everybody!

I hit my first mini plateau in my second week due to TOM and hit a 4-day just 5 days after my PI, also due to TOM. I actually think many see stalls near mid week 2 while their bodies catch up with week one huge losses.

    Not so quick check inÖ

Iíd been stalled out since Thursday when TOM came. Down 0.2, up 0.6, up 1, up 0.4, down 0.2, etcÖ anyways, I went a little rogue with a ďminiĒ steak day. I basically had two larger coffees with cream (one early and one near lunch time) and ate a 7 ounce sirloin with a Roma tomato around 4 pm for dinner. Iíve never tried it before, but it gave me a loss of 2.4 lbs! Iíll take it!

Good morning Ladies, have been lurking--not on protocol until today, which is my first very low calorie today. So sorry Jeanette for your family's loss. Those sudden, unexpected losses really hit hard. Had a nephew--43 years old hit by a truck, while bicycling this past month. He was one of the truly good guys, such a loss, so difficult to process. And basically time is about the only thing that helps with healing. Hoping your sister, your family stays close to help each other.

Hi to everyone else, I've been reading, not every day, but pretty regularly. I have to say kudos to those who started in December and tackled protocol during the holiday season. Very impressed with your efforts and will power. I think I read one posting where misscast mentioned she just hadn't wrapped her head around starting protocol yet, and that was me on the 1st of January. I would plan to start and just wouldn't. My mental focus was non-existent. But now i've done my 2 days of loading, but like someone else said, felt I basically loaded since Thanksgiving. So loading on hcg didn't move the scales as much as holiday socializing did. So I did go a little crazy the past 6 weeks. Kept right at last dose weight from mid to late summer up until Thanksgiving, and threw caution to the wind and am 9 lbs above last dose weight, as of this morning's weigh-in. The round is needed for refocus and resetting as much as anything. My clothes still fit, surprisingly, but the 8 jeans are just a touch snug. I really want to reset my cravings and habits. Gone back to eating carbs more than I should.

And Great job to everyone who started the first of year as they said they would, good to hear from some that were around most of last year. And always good to see anyone new. I ordered hcg while it was still pretty easy to obtain, sounds like it might become more difficult this year--we'll see. I probably have enough with pellets, drops --homeopathic to last all year if needed! Ha. But I'm doing the injections again as they are so convenient. I looked back at my journal from this time last year, and wow, at this time last year, I needed to lose about 45 lb. so happy that I didn't go back that far. Goal is to lose however much I can during this round, which won't be a terribly long round--playing all this by ear. Keep it up ladies, and fellas, I think WB is still around. Catch everyone later.

So far today, coffee and a grissini stick, and not hungry. That's nice. But is very early, only 10 a.m. yet. STill when not on hcg, I've had a significant amount of protein calories by this time.--giving up the activity of breakfast, that is a challenge first few days for me. Have a great day everyone!

    Hi all,

Day 4 and down 4lbs. I looked at my logs from past rounds and the losses are exactly the same - 5lbs the first week and then a stall on week 2. Week 3, it starts up again but of course not at week one's rate. At least I won't be as frustrated next week as I usually am.

I forgot until I looked today that on R2 and R3 I lost the exact same lbs lol. Guess I had gained back what I lost in between the rounds. Grrr, what a dummy.

Hi Dubbles! Yes, I started this round, plus Dry-uary, a week late. Took me time to get with the program!
