In my earlier rounds, I basically lived on roasted cod. I would eat cold, leftover roasted cod for lunch with some celery spears. It was really easy. I would dip it in sambal sauce if I got bored. But in subsequent rounds, I couldn't deal with it. Then over time, it got to where I couldn't deal with too much seafood other than boiled shrimp or grilled salmon. And don't get me started on the vegetables.

Two things that help me out are homemade beef jerky and pickle slices. Pickles are a great quick bite in P2. Just make sure you are not buying bread and butter, which have sugar. Stick to dill pickles but make sure to check the label to make sure there is no sugar. I make jerky on my pellet grill and it is awesome too. Those two things really help me keep my sanity during P2.
I just bought some gorgeous pickles. Thanks for the great idea.

Nothing new to report, just a little bored with my food, but I only have a little over a week left, yeah. I need to plan p3 meals. Maybe lots of eggs, guacamole, salsa, burger patties. Chicken quarters with skins. I'll weigh in in a few days. I haven't had hunger or cravings. I'm gonna walk a bit in p3, it's good for me.

Amy awesome p3 meal ideas? My p3 ends the day we go on vacation so I'll be able to go out to eat.

Thought I had replied but do not see it here. Just finished 7 south Florida events. April and May will be in Texas and OK.

    Good Afternoon March-Marchers!

I started another 23 day program today for a total of 40 days.

After this, I will start getting my HCG through this site and kick the Diet Clinic to the curb. Overpriced and time consuming, plus they try to sell you all these additional services and additives. Counseling Sessions, Food, Shots etc......

Haven't gotten totally bored with the food yet in limited P2 as of yet. Just trying to make it exciting for the next 3 weeks or so. It's all a "mind thing" so I need to get my mind right and march through March and right on into April.

I would like to be down 25-30 pounds during R1. More than likely, I'll be doing another Round or 2 until I get to my goal. So, I am here for the long haul.

Carry on Ladies (and Gents) and let's get this done.

Today I tried something new and wonderful. I made spaghetti out of daikon radish (spiralized)! It was terrific with meatballs and sauce. Very satisfying n

I have heard radishes can be roasted, and taste like potatoes.

    Hey everyone!

Back again for another round. I have a good 40-50 lbs to lose it has been a really rough last few years, I think we can all agree on that. This is the most I have ever weighed and I'm torn between being very displeased with myself or settling on grace and moving forward with purpose.

I am doing a round for the moon cycle as that feels most natural to me and am not perfectly on protocol so I won't talk about food much, I understand it's not the appropriate place to talk about "cheating". I work a job where I am on my feet a lot and I am still trying to ease myself into physical activity so I try to do 30 minutes of yoga or a peloton class. I eat green vegetables that I know have a low glycemic index, stay away from fats, but I also throw some low fat 0 sugar Greek yogurt or eggs or egg whites in there.

I have decided not to weigh myself every day as that is a source of anxiety for me and I just started my period so not great planning on my part!

Anyways, I hope this doesn't upset anyone as that is not my intent. I am trying to strip everything back to basics if that makes sense, I am a week in and so far no problems other than complete exhaustion haha.

I hope everyone is ready for another week!

    Hi emily,
Your exhaustion could be low magnesium and potassium. That often happens because your water intake is greater along with lesser food. If you are noticing your muscles feeling "heavy" or trouble finishing your workouts, it is even more likely that could be an issue. If you don't have potassium supplements on hand, you can use 1/4 tsp cream of tartar, which is about 125mg.

If you are using table salt, switch to mineral salt and add a pinch to your water. It will help keep minerals and electrolytes stable.

As Leez points out, please be sure to maintain your electrolytes. During P2 we are encouraging autophagy of our fat stores, and this tends to cause natriuresis of sodium and potassium. This can cause headaches, dizziness, and constipation. I make sure to add salt to my foods; I generally use LiteSalt which is 50/50 sodium chloride and potassium chloride. When I feel light-headed, I'll have a salty drink like bouillon. I also take SloMag or Mag-24; three daily doses during P2.

Exhaustion is a different matter. While on P2, your intake of glucose is low, so your liver has to re-learn how to replenish muscle glycogen from protein. If you were to continue eating a ketogenic diet, your liver would completely transition within about 3 - 4 months and bring your muscle glycogen stores full up. Meanwhile, that feeling of exhaustion is one reason we encourage people to walk for exercise rather than srarting a more strenuous exercise program during the hcg diet.

VLCD 15 = Did not weigh (out of town)
VLCD 16 = Did not weigh (out of town)
    VLCD 17 = 236.8 lbs (-5.0 lbs) **WOOHOO THE 230's AGAIN**

Total lost = 31.2 lbs (Just amazed by this diet!)

Feeling amazing today! Had a big whoosh and it felt incredible. I almost had to do a double take, cause I couldn't believe I was in the 230's again. This diet is life changing. The health benefits so far have been incredible: no more brain fog, crazy energy, no more snoring, high blood pressure has dropped from a high of 186/116 to 116 / 58, no more acid reflux or gerd (even with past triggering foods like tomatoes, black coffee), resting heart rate back in the high 50's low 60's. The weight loss is great, but the other improvements to my health are almost more exciting. All of this, in 17 FREAKING DAYS....I was highly skeptical, but am sold on this.

I had my first major interruption this weekend by having to go out of town on a hockey tournament with my kids. It was very hard as there was past temptations everywhere (pizza, alcohol, pasta, cookies, you name it). But I dod not cheat at all and stuck to the foods I had prepared and brought with me. The hardest part was saying no to the odd beer or drink here and there with the other parents and ordering nothing at the team meals and explaining that we had already eaten. I didnt want to deny my kids the experience of team dinners and all that, so I powered through the odd looks or a little peer pressure to stay on the wagon. It was difficult though, because I am usually a very social person, who will always say yes to a beer and pizza.

Wow, you are having a Results-a-Palooza! Most of us only dream of these kind of loss numbers. Fabulous progress. In recent times, I can remember only one poster (a woman actually) who lost the max 34 pounds in fewer days than a 23 dose round. She had to up calories to 800 or so the last few days to stop weight loss so that she could complete the minimum dose days. That doesn't happen very often.
