    Happy February, everyone!

Pearly, thanks for the fabulously-named February thread.

WHOOOOOOOSH! It was only a matter of time. After 7 days net 0 change, I was finally down 1.4 today.

Tomorrow I will capture my official LDW, since it will be my last full day of hcg doses. Even though not quite at goal, it's time to put a fork in this round. I will joyfully join you P3-ers and PI-ers soon.

I hope everyone has a great day!
    ~Karen~

    Good morning, love-uary lovelies!

I’m up 0.4 going into LDW. So… I landed 1 pound over goal, but it puts me at a nice, round number to track instead of some wacky decimal point that I’ll misremember during P3.

Hope everyone has a great day!

    Happy February Lovelies!

And Happy transition days/P3 days to Pearly and Kar!

Pearly, I also struggle to get in enough protein, even in P3 and P4. I don't think I focus on the fact that we can only absorb 25-30gm per meal (thanks Gig), so that's something to think about. I intermittent fast and so only eat two meals and a snack which could be the problem: not enough opportunity to eat protein. I am going to think about that.

I am happy to report that since LDW I bumped up 1lb and have stayed right there +/- 0.1lb for the last 4 days of transition/P3. I have been tracking calories and have kept below my BMR calorie requirement (1317). Also, fairly mindful of what foods I have added. So, I'm very happy and hope I can keep it up at least through P3 so I am solidly stable moving into P4.

Thanks for checking in, every buddy.

Me, too, basically, from what was said above.
First day of PI, which I think I'll go about 10 days. I want to be slimmer for spring, but in Colorado, that gives me until late June...

I'm up .2 from yesterday, which is negligible. I really still hope for a woosh, but evidently not coming. I had plenty of protein yesterday, I think, but did not put it in the tracker so I'll do that and make sure.

I am seeing tiny changes on the measuring tape, a smidge here and a smidge there adds up. I am wearing a long sweater I could not wear earlier in the winter---it clung to my belly like sausage casing. Now I just see a hint of of softness when I move but if I stand up straight, I'm Fabulous, baby! LOL. Well, for an old lady. I keep seeing that ad for the movie with Jane Fonda, Sally Field, Lily Tomlin and Rita Moreno. They are OLDER than I am. A little. PLEASE tell me they are older! Sheesh. I'm the same age as Oprah and KathyLee. And John Travota. Pierce Brosnan. Tim Allen. ON THE SLOPE but not over the hill.

Hehehehe. I'm going on and on again.

    ONWARD!

Hi Mo, perhaps you could eat a protein snack once you are done with your round.

    Good morning, lovelies.
    Nice work stabilizing, Mo!
Pearly, glad the sweater fits well!
Gig, thanks for the great tips!
I'm down 0.6 today and itching to start P3, which always happens during the final VLCD days when I start planning and grocery shopping. I mean, there's now HWC and bacon in my refrigerator. How can I not be counting down the hours?
ANYWAY... I, too, need to start paying attention to my protein calories. I'm sure I eat too much protein with each meal. Perhaps that's why I keep coming back to hcg. I've been extremely (overly?) mindful of carbs in recent years and need to pay more attention the right balance of macronutrients.
    Have a great day, everyone!

    Good morning, Lovelies!

Kar, you are probably right about watching the protein per meal. I put my meal from day before yesterday in the tracker and still had not reached the full calorie count or grams of protein I was supposed to have, but had over much at one meal and not enough at another. I need to be more mindful of that.

I'm down the .2 I was up yesterday. I guess that's what is called stablizing I hope.

Not much on my plate today. Just house cleaning, finishing up my billing, working on taxes--almost done but still have some 1099's that have not arrived. If I estimated correcltly all is good. But I need the real ones, not estimates. Didn't there used to be a law about sending those suckers out before the last week in January? I like to do my taxes asap every year, so if I get a refund, I get it quick, and if I have to pay, I am forwarned and don't have to finish and pay until April. I hate surprises.

Sitting here enjoying my first cup of Farmer's coffee. I add a little Swiss Miss reduced calorie hot chocolate mix (5 net carbs per envelope and I use about 1/3) , a pat of butter, a (sort of large) splash of HWC and whirrr it in my Cusinart chopper. I have a blender but it is too much work to get it out. Gives it a nice head of foam. Only then I have to put it in the microwave for 30 seconds to reheat it. But it is a real treat.

Before this PI is over, I want to try a cauliflower crust pizza.

I have used riced cauliflower, 1/4 to a 1/2 c at a time, as a 'filler' on a plate of chicken, green beans, grape tomatoes... where the mashed potato is supposed to go. Gotta say, it was not my favorite but better than nothing. Then I remembered I bought that Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning a while back, but had not figured out what to use it on. A smidge goes a long way, but it really helps the riced cauliflower! I actually kind of like it.

    Onward!

PearlyMae, I still use your all-cheese crust when I want a taste of pizza.

Good morning, lovelies and happy weekend!

Pearly, I also like to do my taxes early and usually receive refunds in February. You're right - it USED to be everyone had to have year-end forms distributed by January 31. Not sure when that changed! (I mean, it could have been sometime in the 80s. Ahem.) ANYWAY, I'm still waiting on one of my offenders and their web portal shows the form is processing and to check back on February 11. How RUDE! Queue Rihanna, "B$#%h Better Have My Money"

So... back to protocol... I have EXCEEDED GOAL! The excitement may be tampered because this monumental event occurred during my final VLCD days and will not be sustainable, but it was nice to at least see it for a brief moment.

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Well, not good news from here. I was up an lb yesterday and another lb today. I know why, though, so I can't feel sorry for myself. It's the old 'I need to taste all the things I've missed' nibbling. And glasses of wine. Even though I account for the wine calories, nothing accounts for the subsequent slippage in control that results in more nibbling. It's what brings me back to HCG over and over again. GAH!

All I can do is pick myself up and dust myself off and get a grip. I don't know if its too soon to hope for a drop back down if I'm a very good girl...I'm up 3 lbs total, with no opportunity for a steak day until Monday.

I hope everyone else is enjoying their weekend...
