HeyHo! Sorry, posting late instead of early!

Kar, congrats on hitting and racing right past goal! It could stay. It could happen. Here's fingers crossed but you have a good attidute if TESS descides to scr... not play nice with you.
And yes, when that law changed, it could have been the 80's... whizzed right past me, anyway! Back about that time I was rushing to the Post Office at 11:45 pm on April 15th. I even got a certificate for being a Last Minute Filer one time. Okay, a few times. It was kind of fun, cuz there were LINES around the block!

I was down ... whispers: A pound.... Did I say that outloud? So as of today, I'm down where I was on the 22nd of January. No telling what tomorrow will bring. Absolutely no reason for a loss. I have been eating basically like P2 but not as schedueled and a little dairy. Some cream in my coffee, a little yogurt with berries. I ramp up slow. I think possibly my body thought I was starving it and was hanging on and this loss...if it even sticks... is part of what I had lost and was the result of getting a bit more fat so my body relaxed and let go. No physical woosh, if you know what I mean, but WHATEVER.

I will take it. If it stays.

Mo, been there, done that, got the T-shirt, the shot glass, the water bottle and the souvenir license plate. Good grief. You got this. Hang in there, don't let it get to you and keep on keeping on.

Gig! Yes, that cheeze crust is a LOT of cheese, but it works pretty darned well! I'd like to try a cauliflower crust...but that's a LOT of cauliflower. It can't just be cauliflower so I'll have to research it a bit.

    onWARD HOOOOO!

Woops. I'm back to back posting. I am leaving room for others, tho!

TESS is still messing with me, but only a bit. Up .2 from yesterday, although I would have rated my day as an A++. Oh well. Better than going back up the whole pound. I am still seeing smidges of change on the measuring tape. So small, I can't really tell if I am smaller around or I getting stronger and pulling the tape tighter...

Yesterday, I was going to cook batches of stuff and do laundry. I figured the time between loads and the time while things were cooking would let me do both and still work on taxes. I spent most of the day looking up stuff on my bank and credit card accounts to add up, all of which changed my refund by maybe $50 bucks. Sigh. And I cooked nothiing and laundered nothing. Today, I'm on my second load of wash and have already cooked a full pan of roasted veggies---mini peppers, onions and mushrooms. I thought I had green beans, but didn't get them on my grocery order. If I pick up or even have my groceries delivered, it saves me drooling over the bakery aisle, keeps me out of the cracker and cookie area and overall keeps me to my list. Also good for my budget, as there are no Oh, I need one of THOSE moments. But then again, I do forget stuff.

Next, Im going to make protein waffles. And try the Oopsie roll recipe in a pan that has indentations like slices of bread. Probably will come out puffed up in blobs but worth a try. For those who have not done these, they are basically eggs and cream cheese, and about half an egg and half an ounce of cream cheese per waffle. The 'rolls' are the same stuff, but baked in the oven instead of the waffle maker. Can make pancakes the same way. I still have enough soup frozen for the first week of P2 if I don't eat it up between now and then. But I want to perfect my caulifower instead of bread crumbs meatloaf, so will try to make that later in the week.

I'm so happy with my 'Farmer's Coffee." Several times now, I'm so satisfied, I forget to eat lunch until 3clock or so. Wowza.

    Onward!

Hi, Happy February everyone!. I just finished Round 1, Week one of HCG. -10.8 lbs. loss. I have a whole lot more to lose. Hope to be there by summer. Stayed focused and on point week one. I really like how HCG suppresses the appetite.

    Good morning, everyone.

Welcome, Kat! HCG is by far the best way I have found to lose weight. Those rapid losses early in each round are very satisfying and motivating. Enjoy your journey!

Pearly, I haven't done a full cart of grocery shopping in person in years! I don't like searching for things and getting distracted by items not on my list, all while tripping over other people. It's in everyone's best interest if I stay home and leave the shopping to others. It's worked out very well for the most part, except for occasional mishaps, like the other day when my broccolini was missing... but Instacart is great at immediately resolving any issues.

Mo, Gig, Leez, how are you doing?

AFM - no change this morning, but I did a lot of "late winter" yard work yesterday, which probably caused some inflammation. It was the first nice day in a while, so I went out to hack away at a few unruly tea olive bushes. There were buds on them already! I was concerned they may not bounce back from the unusually long freezing weather we had around Christmas. I also finally raked up the leaves which fell off during the aforementioned freeze. Now today, I officially start P3. I could describe the joy I'm currently experiencing with HWC in my first coffee after 6 weeks of P2, but I'll keep my comments G-rated by simply saying it is delightful.

Hope everyone has a great day!
    ~Karen~

Hey PearlyMae, I tried cauli crust but I don't like the taste of egg whites baked. Plus too much fuss. Your cheese crust is simple and tastes best, to me.

Whenever I read about someone making "substitute" brownies, or breads . . . I'm reminded of my own experiments. None of which tasted particularly good, or reduced carbs enough. I never tried "chaffles" but heard they are tasty, made with lots of grated cheddar I think.

I do occaisonally make low-carb ice cream or sorbet. Allulose is my favorite sugar sub for baking - even makes good pecan pie. But mostly, I eat blackberries and raspberries for a pop of sweetness; and I have weaned myself off bread, pancakes, waffles, scones, cookies, etc

Hope your restarted round goes well -

So fun to open this page and see people posting! Thank you!

Gig, the protein waffles I make are just a variation on Susanne Somers' Oopsie Rolls. No cheddar, just egg and cream cheese, and cream of tarter. But her prep was fussy--seperate eggs and whip eggs whites then combine them etc. eeek. I made them several times and they fell into the better than nothing category. Then I ran across someone's post years ago for Easy Peasy Pancakes, which was egg, cream cheese, sweetener and vanilla, just whup it together and use as pancake batter. I took it one step further, lost the sweetener, subbed out 1 tsp of pancake mix (Bisquick) per egg, and pour into waffle makers. I freeze them and pop them in the toaster.

I swear, I can't tell the difference between them and my nephews Leggo ones.

I eat with berries and ready whip, or there are some good artifically sweetened syrups, too. I also like to grab one on the way out the door along with a Jimmy Dean sausge link, wrap one around the other, and call it a breakfast sandwhich. It is a 1-1 recipe: 1 egg to 1 ounce of softened cream cheese to 1 tsp of vanilla and 1 tsp Bisquick. I make 3 eggs at a time in my mini chopper because I have always been too cheap to buy a big food processor and never wanted to clean one of those monsters anyway. I used up an 8 ounce cream cheese package and got 15 waffles, a little under normal, but I usually buy Extra Large Eggs and just got Large this time.

I didn't try making the recipe for bread because I was running out of eggs and eggs are currently crazy expensive. Costco still has 24 for $5.99 here, but the grocery stores are $8.99 and up for 18. I'm sure you all have the same thing going on.

All that was procrastination to say I am up .6 . Wah. All I am going to say on the matter is that the peanut butter jar is getting hidden way in the back of the fridge.

Kar, I'd love to get out in the yard! We are not there yet, but at least we have had some high 40 and low 50 degree days so I can see some of my yard where the snow has melted here and there. I bought an end of the year sale mower --a huge dragon of a self propelled electric one!--and only used it to mulch leaves before the snows came. I can't wait till yard work season!

    Onward!

Welcome Kat. This is a great thread to support you on your HCG journey.

Kar...welcome to P3! You gotta love that first sip of coffee with HWC...yum!

Pearly, thanks for the waffle/pancake recipe, I'm going to try it. What is your cheesy pizza crust recipe? Someone (Gig?) said it was easy, and that's what I'm about!

Pearly and Kar, you sounded so industrious over the weekend! I can't say I accomplished much and as a result I have a couple of full laundry baskets giving me the stink-eye. All your food prep gives me an attack of the vapors, Pearly. It all sounds delicious.

AFM, I have been up and down a bit, but basically at the top of my 2lb window. I was a combination of careless and cautious over the weekend but didn't come out too badly so I think I can perhaps move down my 2lb window a bit over the coming week. Fingers crossed.

    Happy Monday everyone!

well, it used to be HERE

But I didn't see any pics on it. However, I'm having some glitches with my desktop, so maybe there is something there and I just can't see it. If not, let me know and I'll write it out again. ???

There is some kind of forum glitch with the attachments. I have it in my stuff too.

Might this be similar to your recipe?

    Cheese crust pizza:
Cut a piece of parchment paper. Place grated cheese - I use "Italian blend" - on the paper in a circle, about 1/2 inch thick in the middle, to fit a salad plate. Put it into the microwave on high, 3 to 6 minutes until the crust gets brown. Put the crust onto a plate and let it cool and harden. It will be very hot! Needs about 5 minutes to cool.
Meanwhile, put a bit of marinara sauce and your pizza toppings into a skillet and heat. When the crust is cool and crisp, put the sauce & toppings on, sprinkle cheese on top, microwave briefly to get the cheese toppings melted. Use scissors to cut into quarters and enjoy.
About 400 calories for a salad plate size.

Costco's 5 dozen large eggs were $15 last week here in Michigan - used to be $7
