    Okay. Accountability time.

I did not mix on Friday.

I did not load on Saturday. Or Sunday. Or yesterday! Yikes. Well, I did sort of load, but without hcg. meh. Lets just say the Dominos guy called me by name.

Now, I have nothing left in the house to eat. I was trying to get rid of all non p2 foods and I did a great job. I only have a couple of slices of cheese, a block of cream cheese I will have to freeze and some sour cream. Otherwise, my kitchen fridge and utility room fridge are completely empty, except for condiments. I should probably clean them while I have the chance. Even my freezers just frozen chicken pieces and hamburger packaged for the dogs. Dog. I can't seem to get the plural out of that word.

    I need to get groceries!

I've been on deadline for a design project, and when not absorbed in that, I have been procrastinating. Oh boy.

So, I order groceries today (if I get them delivered or pick them up, it keeps me on the straight and narrow!) and mix. Says here. It is hard to get just enough groceries for 2 days of loading and then the rest for P2. Complain. Gripe. Procrastinate. I mean, if I get a loaf of bread, I can't eat the whole thing in 2 days. And then it will be staring at me from the freezer... ugh!

I follow --generally sort of---P2.0, so I know what works for breakfast and I know what I need and even like for supper. It is lunch that is holding me up. In the past, in warmer weather, I made great salads (can mix veggies on 2.0) but I did that for sooooo many years day after day, that I can't even look at a salad anymore, especially in cold weather. The past few times, I made a nice P2 soup and took it to work. But I have to admit I am sick of that, too. I will have to go back to my P2.0 books and get some ideas.

Okay. I will check in tomorrow.
    Onward!

Pearly, I can totally relate. Good luck on your lunch conundrum!
AFM, I’m plugging away. Slow and steady wins the race.

Getting started is so hard sometimes. I certainly can relate.

I can't do salads in winter either. I will do a side of room temperature grape tomatoes or maybe some english cucumbers in a quick pickle (vinegar, S&P and sweetener) but an actual salad....no

Exchanging cold drinks for hot ones helps get me through winter eating.

Thanks, Ladies! Good on you both for hanging in there!

I mixed on Tuesday and loaded yesterday and continuing today. The real test begins tomorrow! I have let myself get addicted to snacking again, so that's a part of what I need to do. It is amazing what a difference 10 pounds makes on my body! I have two pairs of black jeans that are 2 sizes larger than my "regualar" jeans and thank goodness for them or I'd be naked.

I decided on sliced turkey or roast beef for lunch, made into a sandwhich with romaine lettuce leaves, tomato slices and a pickle. On 2.0 I can mix my veggies. I'll have grape tomatoes and or cucumbers on the side. I will try to drink hot tea as that is a cold lunch.

    It's happening!

    Good morning, everyone!
Pearly, it's nice to see you've started and have a lunch plan. If you feel compelled to snack between meals, don't forget the power of celery sticks. They may also satisfy the psychological need for something crunchy.
AFM, no loss today... but no gain, either. The victory: suddenly, my watch band is annoyingly loose.
    Onward, indeed!

Ha ha, Kar! My watch band became suddenly loose a few months ago ... I think my wrists are aging and getting scrawny. YOURS is your weight loss, of course!

I am not sure I did loading right! I LOST 2 pounds. WHOT? Well, I feel good, so will just see what tomorrow brings. Probably a delayed gain.

I only got a 2000 iu vial this time around, thinking it was enough for a 3 week round. I should have done the math. At just 20 cc/ml per dose, I (100 as I have done this for 8 years now, and that seems to be a sweet spot for me now) I only got 19 doses! I just ordered my usual 5000 iu and if it does not arrive by the time I use up this batch, I'll take a PI and go again from there. I like a PI in the middle of a round anyway. I need to lose 10 pounds to get back to the goal I raised because I was having trouble staying at my old goal, 5 pounds lower. Well, that didn't work. It wasn't the number, it was the Wild Abandon During the Holidays that was to blame. I want to try to go slightly lower this time around, so hoping to lose 13-15. Maybe.

Had a poached egg on a slice of tomato for breakfast. (Love me 2.0. !)

    Yummy breakfast, Pearly!
I have lost weight loading in a few previous rounds. I'm sure you did it right.
    Doh! That pesky math...
I also hope to sneak in a few extra pounds under goal by the time this round is finished. We shall see.

Okay all you LURKERS! Report in! Kar, Leez and I can't keep this thread going all by ourselves.

Whew. Down today so no delayed gain from loading. Yet. Down 1.8, beginnning of Day 2. I'm so relieved. It works everytime, if I work IT, but every time, I am afraid it won't. Sigh.

I had a perfect day, Perfectly on Protocol) right up til about 8 pm when some cookies I had forgotten about, kept on hand for my nephew, a kind of cookie I don't even LIKE, started whispering like Gollum in Lord of the Rings, "Come to me, my Precious!" I resisted for about an hour, but realized I was in withdrawal from snacking. Okay, ate a cookie. Wasn't that good. I THINK that will help me resist next time. Thank God I never smoked, don't like liquor much and have never been in any environment where drugs were prevelant. If I can be that addicted to COOKIES, I hate to think how I would be with all of those other things! Yeesh.

    Onward!
    PS: Freezing all day yesterday!

Oh Miss Jess! I got them (2.0 recipes/books) on Kindle Unlimited years ago and then returned them! Yikes. Which I discovered when I went looking last week. So I don't have any. I just know the routine well. I said on this thread that I had been doing this for 8 years but I realized I started in Jan 2013 so this is my tenth year using this diet. I think I did Orginal Protocol for the first couple of years, but discovered a 2.0 book 8 years ago, and have been doing that since. I don't really need a recipe for baked chicken, frozen riced cauliflower, steamed green beans and a slice of tomato! LOL. Which is kind of my usual supper.

What I like about 2.0: Mixed vegetables with no guilt, a tiny bit of fat (1 tsp of good oil when cooking for example) fruit is not recommended but on the list of allowed foods, just at the bottom of the list. I stick to apples and berries and seem to do fine, 500 calories a day is just PROTIEN, no counting the calories of the lettuce and pickles, etc. So, basically three servings of protein a day, and I usually have to work to get close to 500. Eggs are allowed. Keep the carbs low, I think the true protocol says under 20 carbs a day, but I have been staying under 30 a day most rounds and it still seems to work for me and with low thyroid problems, I don't want to go crazy on that.

I was truly considering last time as my LAST TIME, but while I did well for quite a while, I let the holidays get me. Dang it. I know for my age, I could wear a size 12 and nobody would think twice. But it is not just about weight loss--that is kind of a bonus for good behavior. I know that sugar is not good for my brain, triglicerides, long term health. I probably started way too late but I think the way of eating in P3, with a few slight modifications (like a real SANDWHICH once in a while) is a healthy way to eat.

Down.8 today! I am happy with it, though I could have used another 2 pound day to keep my spirits up. My usual routine is a six pound loss in the first 10 days before things slow down. Because I lost instead of gained after loading, I'm down 6.2 on Day 5! So I'll take .8 any day, as long as they show up regularly.

    Onward!
