I so understand about 2.00 I did my "own" protocol also. This was my third one and my body is just particular and sensitive so I had to modify it just slightly. I ate protien to hunger. So I did up it on some days and did eat some mixed vegetables. I didn't eat fruit except for frozen cranberries with fat free yogurt sometimes. I had miracle noodles also. It worked for me and was similar to what HCG Chica did. I was pretty close to goal so sometimes my body just wanted an extra ounce of protein.

I just know the routine well. I said on this thread that I had been doing this for 8 years but I realized I started in Jan 2013 so this is my tenth year using this diet. I think I did Orginal Protocol for the first couple of years, but discovered a 2.0 book 8 years ago, and have been doing that since. I don't really need a recipe for baked chicken, frozen riced cauliflower, steamed green beans and a slice of tomato! LOL. Which is kind of my usual supper.

What I like about 2.0: Mixed vegetables with no guilt, a tiny bit of fat (1 tsp of good oil when cooking for example) fruit is not recommended but on the list of allowed foods, just at the bottom of the list. I stick to apples and berries and seem to do fine, 500 calories a day is just PROTIEN, no counting the calories of the lettuce and pickles, etc. So, basically three servings of protein a day, and I usually have to work to get close to 500. Eggs are allowed. Keep the carbs low, I think the true protocol says under 20 carbs a day, but I have been staying under 30 a day most rounds and it still seems to work for me and with low thyroid problems, I don't want to go crazy on that.

I was truly considering last time as my LAST TIME, but while I did well for quite a while, I let the holidays get me. Dang it. I know for my age, I could wear a size 12 and nobody would think twice. But it is not just about weight loss--that is kind of a bonus for good behavior. I know that sugar is not good for my brain, triglicerides, long term health. I probably started way too late but I think the way of eating in P3, with a few slight modifications (like a real SANDWHICH once in a while) is a healthy way to eat.

Down.8 today! I am happy with it, though I could have used another 2 pound day to keep my spirits up. My usual routine is a six pound loss in the first 10 days before things slow down. Because I lost instead of gained after loading, I'm down 6.2 on Day 5! So I'll take .8 any day, as long as they show up regularly.

    Onward!

That is great you are down .8! Woohoo! I understand about losses slowing. I had a lot of stalls but stabilizing's been easy. So just trust the protocol it works!

Rats,up 0.2. I had teeny tiny cheats a couple of days and still good losses. Now I was perfect yesterday and I'm up. Grumble. Complain. Whine. That's the way it goes. Yes, maybe that cookie from Sunday made me gain on Tuesday. Not.

Just gotta double down and keep on going. I have always noticed that I'm 'munchie' until midway through day 4. That is, I am Pooh Bear looknig for a little somethin' somethin' all day long the first few days, and HCG finally hits full on at about noon on day 4 and I'm ok. That was yesterday and today I'm fine, too. Hungry at lunch but not so prowling around the kitchen to see what I might put in my mouth.

    Onward!!

    Hello everyone!
I've been stalled since Sunday. Whatever. It's week 3, soooo...
    I know the drill.
I am happy to report I have been freezing (between hot flashes, anyway). I've also had to tweak down my dose, which is common when my weight gets around 130 pounds.
I've been sticking to OP so far this round, but I will start to interject some 2.0-approved veggies. (I'm not going to do 2.0 calorie intake adjustments.)
Pearly, I hope you've settled in to P2 and abandoned the evil temptations!
Jess, I saw your reports on another thread about maintaining/avoiding steak days after P2 by making sure you don't eat after 6pm until morning. Thanks for sharing! I'm going to try it. P3 is always stressful for me and it sounds like your approach may help get through it more easily.
Hope everyone has a great day!
    ~Karen~

Happy Wednesday, everybuddy! Snow here, so will have to put on many layers of clothing and go shovel the walk in a bit. Oh well, it is exercise. It sleeted a litte first, so will have ice under the snow which is hard to deal with. Temps will be below freezing for the next week or so. Gah. It was 49 on Monday, and we were finally melting the ice in the streets from the last round.

Winter is not coming. It is HERE. dd

Happy to report today is also a POUND day. Down a pound. YAY and sigh of relief. We know it works but it is always nice to see it WORKING.

With the cold weather, I just could not face a cold lettuce wrap sandwhich. I dug around in the freezer and found one last P2 soup I made .... last summer? Late spring? I know I have cleaned my freezer out at least twice since then, but I missed it somehow. I was not sure it was going to be any good or even fill me up. But it was a lifesaver. I'm pretty pleased with myself. I went out and blew my grocery budget on soup makings and will make more for the rest of this round.

Don't ask for a recipe cuz it's P2.0 so lots of vegetables mixed, and really not recipe worthy. It is what they call a kitchen sink recipe. I just throw in whatever I have on hand, pretty much. I use unsalted beef broth, simmer bell peppers and sliced onions -they stand in for noodles--chopped celery and riced cauliflower --the celery gives it a little crunch and the caulliflower thickens it a bit-- and Rotel tomatoes with green chile. I chunk up mushrooms, and they stand in for potato chunks. I brown lean ground beef seperately so I can weigh and add the right 3 ounce amount to each container, then freeze. For Chicken, unsalted chicken broth (got a kick out of an advertisement for fat-free chicken broth--Chicken broth IS fat free! The unsalted is also flavor-free, but ya gotta start somewhere.) I leave out the tomatoes and add green chile. Also bake chicken and shred it in after weighing for each serving.

    Onward!

I hope everyone is not irritated with me posting, but it is part of the protoco, right? I don't have anyone else to share this experience with. My little alien dog is not excited by me losing a pound.

    But I am! POUND DAY.

I did not expect that, but hoped to just be down today. I did make soup yesterday, beef only, but I had only enough lean ground beef with half ground turkey to put 2.5 ounces in each serving. And only enough containers to use to freeze it to make the beef. I'll make the chicken version in a few days. I don't want to eat the exact same thing everyday and get sick of it. There lies falling off the wagon.

I did not shovel snow as it CONTINUED to snow all day. I'll have to try today, tho, as there is 3-4 inches out there. Luckily I have time today.

This cold weather on top of cold of HCG made me a SLUG all day. I need to keep my dopamine up so I can function! I am going to turn up loud music and dance more today.

Anybody know if Tapatalk is working yet?

    ONWARD!

Congrats on POUND DAY, Pearly! Irritated with you posting? Seriously? LOL
I also freeze a lot of things so I can keep a decent rotation going during P2. I make a double batch of chili (no beans, obvi) when I start each round. I also freeze measured portions when I cook ground beef for tacos or whatever. Even cooked, shredded chicken does ok in the freezer. I'm all about having variety and keeping it easy.
    Have fun shoveling snow.
My stall broke. I'm down 0.4. I'll take it.

Oh man I understand! I had SO many stalls with this past round but stabilizing has been really steady for me overall. The icing on the cake (LOL) was stopping eating by 6! That has been so far the easiest way to maintain and or loose if I've gone up. I can even just feel my body just burning up any extra calories in the evneing. It's just like my body's like oh ok now it's time to use up all the things you ate today! And is happy to rest and digest! I feel like I'm honoring my body and taking good care of it and well hydrating it. The tea helps a lot. I've been doing this milk thistle, dandylion chicory root tea with stevia. It's dark like coffee and sooo good. You can put vanilla and cinnamon in it too!

How long of a round will you do? The stalls help make p3 easier!! Oh and food tastes SOOO good once you get to p3!

Kar, I hope the tip helps you as much as it has helped me! I have found it to be so simple and I love the freedom to eat when I need to during the day and just know my "window".

I’m probably going to do a full 40 days, at this rate. It’s way too soon to start my “countdown to bacon.”
