Thread: LOVELY LOSERS 2023 - "Jammin' & Joyful" in January

Pearly. I just can't even. What in the world? I will be glued to my computer to see how this pans out. Please keep us updated through your PI. Stay strong !

Kar. I transition this weekend, so two more injections and then P3 starts on Monday. We'll be doing P3 together. Like many people, I find it one of the most difficult aspects of this protocol. I always bounce up a couple of lbs which I think is natural due to food back in the intestines etc. I've gotten better at staying at the high end of my 2 lb window but it seems to take a lot of attention and focus. I'm usually in a hurry to have tastes of things I've missed!

    Happy hump day...

Another day another pound. I'd be thrilled if I hadn't already lost this one 10 days ago and am repeating. However, slowwwwwly I am coming off The Gain. I'm down 1.8 of the 4 over 3 days. Still feeling cheated, but hey. It is what it is.

I have an inkling. I started to get a fever blister on my lip on Sunday night and took my usual medication, a double dose to start. The next morning I was up the four pounds. So either the meds or the virus, which I read 93% of Baby Boomers have, causing the blister, was the hit. I'm done with it now, so maybe I will inch back down. Sounds kind of unlikely, but I know if I take pain meds during P2 I will have a slight gain the next day ---not 4pounds but maybe .4-- and not lose for a couple of days. I'm not saying don't take needed medication while on P2, just that it might make things confusing. Losses will still result.

BTW, I can't count. I have 3 more doses left, so will not transition until Monday-Tuesday. THEN PI and P3 on Wednesday. So I have a chance to get back to where I was.

I've gone twice to water aerobics this week. A tiny bit stiff today, and I thought I really took it easy. Another class today and a lesson tonight. I will be waterlogged by bedtime! My goal is to go 3 times a week to build my strength and hope in 6-8 weeks, I can do a lap or two. When I can finally do enough laps to make it worth while, my reward will be my mornings back, as it sucks up time like crazy. But I gotta do something to get stronger, and I'm not a gym / weight lifting / runner sort of girl.

I ran for years, but beat up my feet, ankles, achilles tendons and knees. And it's Colorado. There are only 3 days a year when the weather is nice enough to run. It 'ings" a lot here. It's either snowing, raining, blowing or changing before you can get around the block. Summers, especially the last few years, have been too darn hot! I guess that ing is sweating! I have three rules of recreation: I don't go very early in the morning. I don't spend huge amounts of money on fancy equipment. And I don't go out in the COLD. (Conveniently leaves out skiing.Possibly these rules were created in order to get out of skiing.)

So swim I will. Or at least bounce up and down in water until I can swim more than 10 feet.

    Onward!

Pearly, I love your in-depth exercise analysis! I too hate running, so I've never done it. I'm an ex-competitive swimmer and do love a good stretch in the pool. I would love to swim more, but its pathetic: I spend so much money on my hair that I have to do all kinds of things to protect it from the chlorine and I just can't be bothered!

Last injection day! I always use the day after LID as my weight as I figure that day I have full HCG in my system and so will be losing normally. So, tomorrow will be my last weight day and day 1 of transition. Then on to P3. Hurry up, Kar!

I've had good, but small, incremental losses since my stall broke. I'm at 10.9 lb loss, so by tomorrow, hopefully I'll be at the nice round-ish number of 11!

    Happy Friday to all!

Pearly, I was never a strong swimmer either. Good for you sticking with it! Since you do feel stiff afterward, I wonder if inflammation contributed more to those 4 pounds than anyone thought possible.

As Monday's shiraz incident continues remind my scale, I'm losing confidence that my goal will be attainable by Tuesday. It would take 3 pounds in 4 days. I'm trying to hurry up and join you, Mo, but now it's all up to the whoosh fairy! Either way, I can only extend a few extra days, so I will be in P3 soon.

I take a similar approach to LDW. Since I do sublingual Rx, I dose 3 times per day. My last day of the full 3 doses is the weight I use; however, I do take 1 dose the following morning. From a timing standpoint, it better aligns to hunger hitting at meal time, 72 hours after my last dose.

Speaking of dose, I had to adjust down again yesterday.

    Oh - and I'm freezing.

    Have a great day, everyone!

Take a hot bath, that encourages the whoosh.

Read my mind, gig! I got stiffer and stiffer as the day wore on. I just got out of a hot bath with epson salts. Also drank tumeric tea with lemon juice. My sister has a huge massage chair for her husband, and when I walked in to her house and she saw how stiffly I was moving (where does it hurt? No where specifically, it's more like I've turned to stone!) she led me by the hand over to it and said SIT. It helped a LOT. Going to bed and hoping for the ability to move tomorrow. A woosh would be nice but is secondary at this point! LOL.

PearlyMae - I hope the massage chair and the hot bath worked - nothing worse than poor sleep due to pain.

Here's hoping you are rewarded with a whoosh, too!

I hope the bath/massage helped the stiffness Pearly.

This is transition day 1 and I'm up 0.3lb, so not going to get my 11lb loss but I'm happy with 10.3. With all the talk of baths...I want one!

    Greetings, Lovelies!

You are all so kind! Good luck on the transitioning. I will join you shortly! I still didn't count correctly! I freeze my syringes after filling them, then put one in a box in the fridge. I pull one out of the freezer and put it in the box replacing the one I use that day. I keep forgetting to count the one in the box! So I transition starting TUESDAY. Sheesh. I must subconsiously want this round to be over... ya think?

I'm so much better today, moving ok. I slept late and well, so that helps! I'm down .8, which puts me just ONE pound OVER where I was last Sunday. What a wasted week. Sigh. I am a little surprised I didn't bag it several days ago. I didn't even give up and eat a donut or anything like that. In fact, if I have one thing that might be slowing my losses it is that I have not been meeting my protein requirements.

On P2.0, there is a formula, I think it uses BMI or BMW or something times your age, or your hair color or the name of your third grade teacher divided by how tall you are or your shoe size... Really can't remember the details. Anyway, it calculates the amount of protein calories you need. I calcualted my number eons ago and promptly lost the formula. It was 526 calories but instead of doing the math, I just rounded down to 500 for convenience.

I have been tracking daily in Carb Manager, and I put all my veggies and fruits in the Breakfast section so the Breakfast total carbs is easy to see. Then I put all the protein in the lunch section, so the protien calories are all there. I can add a carb or two that show up in the protein in my head to the breakfast, as it is like 1 or 2 -- 1 in eggs, not sure where else it shows up.

At any rate, I have come in at 75-100 under most days in protein calories. Not on purpose, things just turn out to be smaller portions than I expected, missed something, etc. I even had two eggs one day and was still 30 calories under. And that was using 500 instead of 526.

So, the next couple of days, I am going to work on adding just a smidge more protein. Especially since I thought I was doing GENTLE exercise ---or in my case Old Gentile exercise. And yesterdays stiffness fiasco tells me I am over doing it. (But, The Gain came BEFORE I did any exercise classes and my swim lesson was still blowing bubbles and floating stuff and was 4 days prior!)

    @#$%&$@*!

    Onward.
