Hi all - so many new faces! Welcome! I've been lurking for the last month as I've been waiting to get into P2 (and that's when I need the MOST support here). Today is my second load day - chinese food, pizza, chicken with skin. I feel like absolute crap. Isn't that one of the reasons why we load for two days - because P2 clean/light eating is a welcome sight?! LOL I still have a whole pkg of bacon in the fridge and need to pick up some avocados on the way home. I think it's going to be bacon, avocado and wine for dinner tonight...just the thought of all that makes me green. Blech. I want to be fully loaded before my first VLCD tomorrow. This morning, I was at 192.8 which is .6 above LDW, so I'm happy about that. I am so freaking exciting to to see the 80s and then the 70s!! It's been forever and I hate having to hide in my clothes and not wear the things I want. The lowest I got back in 2011 from HCG was 164 and I loved the way I felt and was way more active and happy. Christy - I hear you on feeling good in the mid 60s. Me too. I hit a wall at 164 but that was okay with me because I felt and looked good. I may try to press against the lower 60s with a couple more rounds. We'll see.

Going back for another round, I admit, is daunting and I'm scared crapless, but I also know that after I make it past the first few days, it does get easier. I go to bed early, drink lots of water and tea, read, meditate and avoid tv/kitchen like the plague. It's only for a month. Anyone can do anything for 30 days, right?

Good luck to everyone this week!

I finished my first week on Sunday and I'm down 8lbs!!! I'm so very happy! BUT I dreamt about eating a bunch of sweets and I didn't lose anything when I weighed this morning I guess I can't even think about food anymore. Oh well, 8lbs is great so I'm pretty happy with that.

I have noticed that I don't get full nor do I feel well if I don't eat beef. If I do chicken and shrimp or fish one day I'm extremely ravenous the next day. I've been adjusting my drops for a few days trying to figure out what works best and I think 5 drops 3x per day is working. I'm using AnuMed drops. I didn't wake up my usual hungry this morning and didn't have a bite of apple until about 9:30 this morning. I hope I'm figuring this out!

I really think I need to get a scale that reads smaller than 1/2lb. Any suggestions? I have a large dog scale that does pounds and ounces but I don't know if it goes smaller than by 1/2 pounds. I've haven't tried getting on it yet. Maybe I should...

Hello ladies, back from our trip to Washington and my ladies retreat. No internet at the inlaws. not even data!! also, was pretty busy.
My precious 400 lb mother in law has edema so bad her legs are weeping. it was awful!! she is trying to lose weight as she has congenitive
heartfailure. We spent days helping her around her house, building a ramp, and gardenbeds she can get to in a wheel chair or walker.

I'm pretty sure i ate my way thru the weekend! 7lbs up!! nothing went as planned, nothing food wise anyhow. doing a correction day today.

Last I'm so sad for your loss but at the same time happy that your making positive choices for your life!!

i've tried to catch up on posts but cant do personals as im on the way out the door yet again! Heading to the antique mall i'm in then out to
see my precious Sophie. Its been Over a week, i'm having major withdrawels!!

    Have a blessed day!!

From Pearly: "Julie.b, around these parts, we try not to add too many new things at once, and maybe only one new thing a day or every few days, but not adding anything for 3 more weeks! Boo! That's asking a LOT! Maybe because you are 'between' rounds, aren't you, on their protocol? I am sorry, can't remember if you are doing more or not."

Pearly, Thank you. I don't know for sure what you mean when you ask if I am between rounds? LOL. But, I just finished P2 and am in P3 maintenance. To them, I should not be adding in anything at all for 3 weeks, just eat more calories of the same P2 foods (no thank you!)
I understand what you mean about adding in only one new food every couple days. Thanks. Will try to do that.

No, sorry shmeans...I understood what you meant about the sausage. I was just posting what the clinic told me about the first 3 weeks of P3, in which they told me specifically to NOT add anything new at all, not just no sugar or starch. I thought that was odd and I asked for some clarification on here.
Your help was great! BTW, I did not have a gain this morning, so I am hoping I got by with it (eating the sausage) and will steer clear for awhile. Thank you!

    Thanks ladies...

I felt terrible thinking I had caused Julie to think she had to stick in P2 foods. P3 & P4 anticipation motivate ME to stick while in P2. I looked at other posts but never saw the one on the clinic advice. Thx again

And some people don't add new foods in P3 right away but personally I don't think it's the best way to do it. You should be trying new foods to test them so you know later on what to avoid.
Do you have a meat tenderizer? Or a hammer?

(or a heavy jar or can works as a rolling pin, too.)

Oh, and JulieDOTb, I meant have you met your goal and are working on maintaining for, you know, forever? Or are you still looking at doing another full round (P1, 2, 3, 4) again later? Sorry, I can keep track of a lot, but not of what everyone's goal weight is! LOL.

It helps me visualize what is going on BY THE MILLIONS all over my body during P2 AND to remember to drink my WATER! So very important to keep those cells flushed out.

This visual...priceless! One we can all use to calm ourselves in P2 when the effort is high...and the losses slow down. I really appreciate this, and will also be envisioning it by the millions in my own body along with you

    Round 1-Start weight in 2011 was 142lbs.
Round 8-just as annual cleanup round 2017
R8--Goal to get to 120, maintain at 123lbs.

I am thinking I can make myself a nice egg omelet with a little cheddar cheese, shredded off the block and some avocado? I know some need to test eggs first, but I had them a couple times in P2 and did ok with them. I am unsure if cheese and avocado is too much at the same time.

I am LOVING coffee again with a tsp or two of the HWC and a tiny bit of stevia!

UPDATE: I ended up eating a two egg omelette (that was all the eggs I had), with cheese, tomato, red onion, red pepper. It was delicious. I skipped the avocado for now and thought I could eat that as a snack with a hard boiled egg? Or without?

Thanks for the "hand holding"! I feel I get better support than from the clinic I went through! Which, by the way, told me to not add any new foods at all during the first 3 weeks of P3, but instead to simply double my portions of protein, ie, instead of 100 g eat 200 g at each meal. I didn't like this advice and thought it contradicted Dr. Simeons OP.

shmeans-last paragraph is where the confusion began, I think. But it is all good. You did not confuse me at all. Thanks for your help!

Shmeans, and I didn't remember you telling her she couldn't have sausage! LOL. WE are aaaallllll straight now! BTW, I see on your signature that you went through breast cancer in 2013. The Lovelies on this thread walked with me through that in 2015. Hope all is going well with you now! P

Pearly, ahhh! Gotcha! Yes, I am going to have to do a few more rounds to get to my ultimate weight loss goal!
