Lovely Losers - Deliciously Dynamic and Determined in December

Hello to all Lovely Losers out there - here's a new thread for DECEMBER 2017.

This dynamic and determined group of HCGers have been starting new threads every month for years to prevent people from having to sort through literally thousands of old posts, and making it easier for new people to join.

    Please note:
We are all in different phases of HCG.

We all use different methods of HCG.

What is right for YOU, is right for YOU and we respect that. We dont judge.

MOST importantly, while we can be a little naughty and nutty (always with humor!!) we are NICE to each other!!

So, whether you are just starting, finishing or are somewhere in between . . .

    You ARE Welcome!!

    Hello Lovelies – TGIF!!

Snoopy - made it to Friday.jpg

    AFM – 173.4

    So glad today is Friday!

Wednesday was nuts, yesterday was bewildering (I went up to 175), then this morning dropped down to 173.4. See? You can be spot on perfect protocol in the first week, and if your body wants to push back, it will! You just have to hang tough and eventually, you get rewarded.

I have been under a lot of work stress this week, and have not slept well, so I figured that is why I blipped up a little yesterday. That’s what I’m gonna go with anyway.

BTW, Saint Jim has also dropped 7 this week, so we are happy hcg’ers.

Hey all! Did you all make it over to the December Thread? Shout out, so we know you are here!

Thank you, Christy, for once again coming up with a terrific title and keeping us all going.

Tanya, my unfortunate observation is when the stomach flu/whatever hits, it provides so much inflammation that lasts several days past when it clears up, that it defies physics. How can we have that much come OUT and still not weigh less? It's because all areas involved get inflamed and by the time that...ahem... passes, we have filled ourselves back up with liquids and etc. Dang, tho! Just glad you are feeling better.

Well, the big steak dinner night is here, and I went out and got something different to wear. Just a red and black tunic with leggings and cutie red booties. I decided to have my hair done just for fun and wanted it in an 'updo.' I look a little more like Dolly Parton (Polly Darton?) than I was expecting, and suddenly, I look my age! It is teased and back combed to the hilt. Not so sure I like it, but too late now! It starts in 1 1/2 hours and it would take me that long just to brush it out! EEEk.

AT least I can enjoy the whole steak without guilt! I never eat the baked potato anyway, and I take the dessert home and toss it. Restaurant desserts always LOOK a lot better than they taste, so it is not worth it. I will take a packet of Light cocoa mix (4 carb grams) and mix it with some whipped cream cheese when I get home and tell myself I'm having chocolate cheesecake and be Happy as a Little Lamb. (Is that the right animal? Sounds funny to me. Let's see, ran as a fast as a little striped pig, slept like an old dog in a sunny spot... okay, Lamb it is!)

    Onward!

    P4D27 - or so...

Checking as I found my way also. Not much new to report. Work is becoming overwhelming, but I'll just have to push through.

Pearly - Your steak sounds yummy. I always order double veggies and tell them to keep the potato - I hate throwing food out. Your outfit and hair sounds really cute

Tanya - Glad you're feeling better. I hope the scale settles down for you soon.

Christy - Thanks for the new thread and your creative name! Hope that scale settles down for you too. Stress has all kinds of negative impacts on us...

Happy Friday all, and have an enjoyable weekend!

I look like Debbie Reynolds! ( except not dead...) hair is much higher in real life. Pic doesnt do it justice!

Uh oh. Lemon drop Martinis. Now I have to sit in my car for a while. And someone forced real cheesecake past my ruby red lips...

    Starting P4!

Pearly - Red is your color!

I made it through P3, with a few blips. Over Thanksgiving, I gained 2 lbs over 3 days, but lost 3 lbs in 2 days after, and continued to lose this week. I am doing intermittent fasting (4 hr feeding window) and eating HFLC. Light exercise. Net: 1.8 loss from LDW.

I am doing a carb backload day (4 hr) today then back at it tomorrow. Big football games here in the South today!

Hi kdlady, what is a "carb backload" day?

I read about folks who generally eat low carb, doing a "carb up" day and their logic escapes me. When I eat excess carbs, I gain (I am T2D), and it takes me days to weeks to lose.

    P2 / Week 2

    Happy Saturday, Lovelies!

Geeze I have SO! much to do this weekend. Because of the crazy hours Ive been working, I have not put up one, single Christmas decoration. So whatever I get done this weekend, that is gonna be it. Ive got too many gifts to put together, and some to ship out, that has to be done by next week.

    AFM 171.4

As you can imagine, Im Very happy with a 2 pound loss overnight, but I woke with another horrid headache that, again, went mostly away with some real cream in my coffee (mixed in with a big spoonful of Premier Protein shake).

I think Im eating the perfect amount to lose weight, but my body wants more, so Im getting really bad low blood sugar headaches because Ive reduced the overall amount of food. Thats my theory anyway.

Polly Darton You look FABULOUS! I love red/black combo and I like your up-do.

I have a special company Christmas dinner next weekend that I HAVE to attend. (isn't that always a crazy concept? I already see you people 9 hours a day, 5 days a week, but I HAVE to spend some of my precious time with my husband socializing with you people. I'd rather just get a $100 check to spend on Christmas.)

No matter what they have on the menu, Ive already decided Im going with steak or grilled chicken and some sort of dry salad with lemon. I figure if I get my head on straight and decide ahead of time to stay as close to P2 as I can, I wont do too much damage. Ill be drinking a LOT of club soda and leaving as fast as possible.

KD congrats on stabilizing and working in I.F. in your daily schedule!

P2 vlcd 26 and a question for the experts

    I found you all!
Yep, it's the season of holiday parties and temptations...
I have a black tie event tonight where I will practice the art of food avoidance. Good thing it starts at seven so I will have already eaten. I'm wearing a gown I bought in September and it's a little big now! An expensive success because it cost a lot of money but I'm too cheap to get another one.
I considered taking a planned interruption but the time lost just isn't worth it. I want to be done with this round in the next two weeks pending the week 5/6 slowdown. I'm averaging about .75 lbs a day. Total 19.8 lbs lost this round as of today.

And now I need your help with determining time off until the next round. I started June 3, 2017 and lost 26 lbs in 36 days. I did P3 for 21 days and then went straight into another round in August, started 8/1. I lost another 21 pounds in 39 days. I went into p3 for three weeks and then p4 for about 4 1/2 weeks.
I started this round on November 5th. I plan to have my last injection around December 19th.

My question is I'll do P3 for three weeks, how long should I do p4 before I start my last round? I probably will need a short one to reach goal. I'm about 20 pounds from my goal weight now.

    I was thinking 3 weeks of p3 and 6 weeks of P4?

And here's another thought. Considering I'd stabilize better with a final 30 day round. Should I end this round a little early and literally "save" losing the last 20 for a final round of at least 30 days?

I'm making myself a little crazy thinking this through. I would love everyone's opinion on this!

Hi Tracy - Nice job on going to a party in a gown that's too big! Great losses for you in this round.

In my notes, I have this:
    Round 1 - 2 = 6 weeks
    Round 2 - 3 = 8 weeks
    Round 3 - 4 = 12 weeks
    Round 4 - 5 = 20 weeks
    Round 5 - 6 = 6 months

So, a minimum of 12 weeks before round 4. That puts you at around March 15 to start another round. Does that sound about right?

I am tending to wait even longer than the prescribed times between rounds so that I can plan my round in a timeframe when social obligations are not going to get in the way and tempt me. Also, my "belief" is (not science, just my personal opinion) that your body needs the break from losing weight and needs time to adjust to being a thinner you.

Good luck with whatever you decide!
