    P2 day29

Hey lovelies, just a quickie, I'm on the no screens concussion prescription and of course I'm breaking the rules (thanks goodness for audiobooks)
I'm better today, saw the dr, confirmed concussion (thank you LinderLou, I would have never considered that because I'm a ding a ling!) and had my levels checked. It is an electrolyte imbalance and easily fixed. And I'm also supremely cautious now with my 4-6 visits a night to the ladies.

Here's the even weirder part of this roller coaster ride. After the fall, my weight was same Sunday am for third day in a row so I figured I'm starting another stall. But Monday morning that darn scale jumped up 4 freaking pounds! Physically my face is terribly swollen and I have bruises on my leg and arm, so was this my body in protective armor mode? I have no idea. I ate normal p2 (for me) yesterday, an egg, a roast beef wrap, and a cup of seafood soup for supper and today I'm back down 3 1/2 pounds.
I feel like a science project, but not the cute kind.... I'm working on a bruise along my jawline that reminds me of one of those ventriloquist dolls. The whole right side of my face has dropped like I had a stroke. Last picture I promise,

    Where's that yikes button?

OMG Tracy, I hope you heal up fast from the concussion!

That's a lovely shiner I had one in Sept, took 2 weeks to clear up. I hope you have a good concealer! There are two nice concealer kits with different colors to hid bruising - one by NYX avail at Ulta, and another by Jane Ireland I got online.

A word to all the wise Lovelies: The VLCD is a low carb diet, which generally causes the body to shed salt (A/K/A electrolytes). Make sure you get enough! Low salt makes you lightheaded, dizzy, and sometimes causes headaches. A cup of salty broth or bouillon will help.

Oh my yes! Salt is always important but especially inP2 with low carb and extra liquids racing thru!

Tracy, OF COURSE you had extra water weight from All those bruises! Your body was definitely in protection mode and hanging on to water to give you extra padding, which you needed! It drains away. Maybe get as much of your water in before 8 PM to cut down on all those nighttime trips? (pun intended!)LOL

PLUS you have a CONCUSSION! It does affect your thinking, you know... So glad you did go to the Dr!

What everyone else said about salt... And it looks like you could be carrying around a pound of water in your jaw alone! Glad it seems to be coming back off as quickly as it appeared. Just remember to ice, ice, baby. It will really help get the swelling down.

    P2 - 2nd week

    Hello Lovelies ~

Running at 100 mph today at the office, and only have just a minute to check in.

    Of course,

    Busy at work.jpg

    AFM - 171.4, up a whole pound.

    Pouty.jpg

    Boo. Hiss.

Well, I knew it would start happening, but I'm still not happy about it.

For the remainder of this P2 I will go back and forth, up and down, and be lucky if I can eek out another 5 or 6 pounds before I get so tired of the whole thing and quit (or December 20th gets here, whichever comes first).

I had planned on this being another short round anyway. I feel good & strong, so there is that. A bit of weirdness . . . I'm actually liking being on P2 in December. No, I don't like P2 (ever) . . . but it sure takes any "just a bite of this or that" cheating totally out of the picture at this time of year, when everyone seems to feel obligated to bring horrid, sugar or wheat filled, carby garbage food to share. There is always something out on the counter top in the breakroom for all to partake in, and it is consistently crap food.

Hope everyone is doing well today.
    Christy

Christy - I know how you feel about P2 in December! Everyone wants to bring cookies (National Cookie Day yesterday!), cakes, chocolates and more for sharing in the staff lounge. I am happy to be POP right now. As you said, no little bites or cheats here and there. We will be feeling awesome when Jan 1 comes and we didn't indulge in all that "bad for you" foods. For the first time in years, my new year's resolution won't be "GET IN SHAPE AND LOSE WEIGHT!" This year, it will be maintain, maintain, maintain! Extremely nervous about P3.... I hate leaving the security of P2 and knowing exactly how much and what to eat. I plan to do keto. Hope it works.

I hit my goal (150) a few days ago with a great loss of 2.2 pounds in 2 days. Now at 149.4 -- I screamed a little when I saw that number. I have 8 days left of P2. Would love to lose 4 more pounds, but would be happy with any loss at all. Christmas parties coming up. Hubby has been great at screening menus and slapping my hand when I go for a bite of this or that!

Take care everyone -- stay strong.

Tracy, hoping your healing will happen fast. owie zowie, that looks like it hurts!!

Kitty! yay for you!! i would think with 8 days left you should lose at least another couple of lbs. whoot whoot!

yes, im missing p2 and the structure of it!! ive been bouncing up and down, mostly still under my
2lb limit, but still super annoying as it seems to all come from foods i've eaten just fine before! today is 2nd day
of week 3 of p3. ive been eating all the same foods every day and i'm getting very very bored!!

i'm still have issues with hardly any hunger. i ate breakfast about 9 and was busy all day here at home and forgot
to eat till after 5. its 7 and i still have over a 1000 calories to eat!! i'd kill for a glass of wine or something!! its been such a
    rotten last few days.
my daughter Valeries friend Susana died from HLH, Sunday. never heard of it before. She had no idea she had it till it was too late.
She leaves 3 children under 10 and a very devoted husband. we are all in so much shock. and apparently, its hereditary so her
children will need to be tested. i've had such a bad day and grumping, yet when i sit back and reflect on all that is good and
all the blessings i have i want to slap myself silly for being grumpy and moody. Today was just one of those nothing i tried to do
turned out or i broke things, just dumb stuff. I just need to stop and thank God for all my blessings!!

Do any of y'all have exercise goals? I want to have some to attain to, but can't think of any. The only one I can think of is to go to the top of the hill in my subdivision and back in under 30 minutes. Once I succeed at that, I'm going to move it down to 28 and then 25.
Kind of would help to know what you are eating in P4 Are you eating lots of carbs? Even though i am 6 months into P4 most of the carbs i eat are from veggies and fruit and occasionally starches once a week. Or small serving of sweet potato. Since you are only day 3 i wonder what you added.

My suggestion os to go back to P3 for a few days or a week and see if that helps.

    P4

    Good morning Lovelies,

    Just flying by to:

Agree with Christy - WTH office snack demons??!!

Check on Tracy - hope the swelling is better!

    Celebrate for KittyKat - AWESOME!

Smile at everyone else! It's been pretty quiet this month but it's a busy time of year even without holidays; thanks!

Confess my wrongdoing - Having spent several days at 153.x I succumbed to The Great Satan and had rice for lunch yesterday. This morning up 2LBS I did it to myself but I was so hopeful since I've been having lots of carbs lately. I'd hoped that the rice reaction was a phase but nope! I'll see if my weight corrects over the next couple days as I'm still below LIW, otherwise I'll do a steak day on Sunday and drag it back down.

    P2 - 2nd week

    Hello Lovelies ~

    AFM – 171.4. Again.

    More of this from me.

    Pouty.jpg

Doesn’t help that it has been THREE days since any Boom-shaka-laka in the bathroom, which is very unusual for me. Even doubling down on my magnesium yesterday has resulted in nothing.

I may have to break out the Senekot when I get home today. I hate doing that, but I am feeling a lot bloated and very uncomfortable.

KittyKat – Congratulations! So happy for you!

Tanya – so very sorry for your daughter’s friend. I had to google HLH – I didn’t know what it was either! And to think, that specific type of cancer can be inherited genetically! Saying prayers tonight at Mass for their family and yours.

And yes, I agree – I need to stop being Missy Pouty Brat and count my many blessings!
