Hello Lovelies –
AFM – down just a tad to 168.8. I’ll take that extra ½ pound of “breathing room” happily.
Clearing foods carefully, since I had to end my P2 early. Trying to keep my carbs way below 30 - my carbs were only 17 yesterday, which I think could be reason for 1/2 pound drop. Now to stay at that weight for a few days w/o rebounding back up.
Beachy – CONGRATS on the 211! You have come such a long way, girl.
P – Taos, NM, hmmmmmm? I know Janeen has a lot of info on trips to NM (I've never been). I would ADORE a weekend with you and any other Lovelies that want to join. Something to think about come spring. I’ll bring my flavored Vodka, tho’ – I just can’t do wine anymore. Takes me far too long to get that wine weight back off.
Tracy – yeh, we can double down on that cheese thing! (It is funny and a little weird just how many cheeses I have in my fridge – thank goodness most cheese loves me as much as I love it) Whisky! I used to love me a very good glass of scotch (12 yr old Glenmorangie Nectar D’or is my fav) BUT, just like my beloved red wines, scotch and whisky will show a gain the next day. So I only imbibe about twice a year.
Hello, Pro! Glad to see you. Not sure what to say about crappy neighbors. If they didn’t heed your previous request, I’d bet they don’t for the snow either.
RE: pepperoni “chips” – been making these for years, and (weirdly enough) they come out better (in my opinion) with nasty Hormel pepperoni . . . so in my effort to get away from foods that can sit for months on a shelf and not kill you when consumed, I stopped making them. Now if I want a “chip” I either make them from grated cheese (I use Asiago) or I carefully count out the Siete chips made from cassava root (better for you overall, but still have carbs that must be counted).
If I’m hankering for pepperoni (or just pizza in general), I try to buy the highest quality I can and chop it up in some scrambled eggs with shredded cheese or I pile on top of my cheese chips (along with a bit of mushed up avocado & chopped onion). It always ends up in a slight weight gain the next day (most processed meats will do that because of the sodium) but I figure I’m ahead because I didn’t eat pizza. I have made my own P3 friendly pizza before, but I still eat too much of it. It is definitely a “trigger” food for me (like potato chips, popcorn and French fries - I should be the Poster Child for "Can't Eat Just One").
