Ego, when do you start again? I know it's tough this time of year to stay stable. Just try your best and you'll be in a better place to start when you are ready for the next P2.

AFM, I have some p2 butterfied food planned for the next few days. I'm not introducing anything until Friday/Saturday, and I'm not sure what that will be. Knowing me, it will probably be whiskey....

Have an above average day all!
The goal is to start again January 6th.

    P3 - Week 1

    Hello Lovelies –

AFM – down just a tad to 168.8. I’ll take that extra ½ pound of “breathing room” happily.

Clearing foods carefully, since I had to end my P2 early. Trying to keep my carbs way below 30 - my carbs were only 17 yesterday, which I think could be reason for 1/2 pound drop. Now to stay at that weight for a few days w/o rebounding back up.

Beachy – CONGRATS on the 211! You have come such a long way, girl.

P – Taos, NM, hmmmmmm? I know Janeen has a lot of info on trips to NM (I've never been). I would ADORE a weekend with you and any other Lovelies that want to join. Something to think about come spring. I’ll bring my flavored Vodka, tho’ – I just can’t do wine anymore. Takes me far too long to get that wine weight back off.

Tracy – yeh, we can double down on that cheese thing! (It is funny and a little weird just how many cheeses I have in my fridge – thank goodness most cheese loves me as much as I love it) Whisky! I used to love me a very good glass of scotch (12 yr old Glenmorangie Nectar D’or is my fav) BUT, just like my beloved red wines, scotch and whisky will show a gain the next day. So I only imbibe about twice a year.

Hello, Pro! Glad to see you. Not sure what to say about crappy neighbors. If they didn’t heed your previous request, I’d bet they don’t for the snow either.

RE: pepperoni “chips” – been making these for years, and (weirdly enough) they come out better (in my opinion) with nasty Hormel pepperoni . . . so in my effort to get away from foods that can sit for months on a shelf and not kill you when consumed, I stopped making them. Now if I want a “chip” I either make them from grated cheese (I use Asiago) or I carefully count out the Siete chips made from cassava root (better for you overall, but still have carbs that must be counted).

If I’m hankering for pepperoni (or just pizza in general), I try to buy the highest quality I can and chop it up in some scrambled eggs with shredded cheese or I pile on top of my cheese chips (along with a bit of mushed up avocado & chopped onion). It always ends up in a slight weight gain the next day (most processed meats will do that because of the sodium) but I figure I’m ahead because I didn’t eat pizza. I have made my own P3 friendly pizza before, but I still eat too much of it. It is definitely a “trigger” food for me (like potato chips, popcorn and French fries - I should be the Poster Child for "Can't Eat Just One").

Tracy, Thank you. I know the only thing stopping me is ME. I have crawled off into the woods and can't figure out how to get out. (workplace is in 8 1/2 acres of forest.) I was gonna work here six months while I figured out something else, and have gotten in a RUT. Going on 4 years. EEEEK.

Christy, I don't drink wine, either! LOL. I don't know if it would make me gain or not, as it is my hiatal hernia that keeps me from drinking it --that and always needing to be my own designated driver. My hh stings like an open wound with alcohol poured on it unless I drink water with the wine. But for some reason, lemon drop martinis do not bother it At. All. I like the IDEA of wine, but not the actual drinking it part, I guess.

I am staying on track around 127-128. I know 120 -122 sounds like a low number, and what difference does 6 pounds make, BUT! I liked being that weight last summer so much, I still plan on doing a round to get there again after the first of the year. I feel stronger now after being sick a few weeks ago. I have enough hcg in the freezer for 3 weeks. It's all good. All I have to do is NOT weigh 1THIRTY7 by the time I start again...

    Onward!

Pearly, It's good to hear you don't have headaches with the aura! I read Christy's link and that was fascinating to learn! And thank you for that low carb blog! I am saving the zucchini pizza boats for P3! I can't believe I never thought of that as a zucchini addict! As for invisibility, did you used to want to be invisible when you were overweight? I love the idea of reading those books Sunshine shared! Are you by any chance the firstborn or the one in the family that takes care of everyone? I felt so ashamed when I was heavier and allowed myself to be taken for granted/invisible, and now I'm still overweight but coming back to life anyway. So I know the battle to become vivacious and be yourself again! It really does matter a lot how you project the person you believe you are. People will treat us as we allow them. I think you are amazing and strong and definitely beautiful; so you just need to believe it and live like you believe it. The others that matter will come around. Don't worry if you shock the loved ones with the new bold you! You deserve to be treated well! I'm with Tracy! Make some noise! Happy noise! You know you are fun and worthy of attention.

Xexy, I'm glad your party was great! LOL @ shooting up! Thanks for the pepperoni tip! I microwave mine, but it gets greasy instead of crispy even on a paper towel and with blotting. I still love them, but will try other brands!

Hi Pro! With great diplomacy, I'd speak with them. It's a warning sign that they disregarded the mowing thing. What did they say when you approached them that time? Maybe they are worried you will mow into their car or leave grass on their driveway, but the snow piling is just rude! Do you have an HOA that can address this? Have you verified the property lines? If they are abusing your property, they are trespassing and you should let them know. Where I am, there are a lot of places that have a few feet beside the driveway belonging to the person on the other side. If in doubt, contact your city to ask how to proceed and if there is any way they can help. You may need to put up a no trespassing sign and send them a certified letter warning them not to trespass so you have documentation...then a letter from a lawyer if that doesn't work, but you have to live next to them. So hopefully just straight forward conversation asking them if they are intentionally *trespassing* on your property will be enough.

Christy, Congratulations on maintaining your weight for so long! I know you work for it, but you are doing it!!!

Lovelies, down l lb. 210.2 today. Happy slimming and maintaining to all Lovelies!

Checking in with everyone! I'm way behind and can't do personals today, but wanted to say Hi! Apparently the Creeping Crud that was attaching Christy's household jumped over the internet into MY house! Woke up yesterday at 3am, feeling just awful and couldn't go back to sleep. I was supposed to drive 3 hours to my monthly work trip, but decided I just couldn't. It's one of those colds where your head (sinuses, nose, throat) just fills up and you can't even think straight. I hate it - I feel like I'm a hundred years old!

Anyway, doing the best I can and eating lots of strawberries for Vitamin C. Didn't even get on the scale this morning...

Hoping I get over this in a couple of days and back on track. Looking forward to joining everyone in another round next year!

    Have a great week everyone!

    P2 D40.

Yahoo! I’m finally on day 40. Last HCG. Minus 22.6 pounds. Buh-bye! Now I just have to get through 2 days of VLCD and on to P3. This is the part that makes me nervous. I’ve been here before and somehow regained 15 pounds. This time I just want to set this weight solid.

Ahhh whiskey. I really needed a shot yesterday! I plan on giving it a try and see what happens. I don’t miss wine as much as I thought I would. And butterfied p2 foods sounds great. I’m going to do the keto diet.

    Have a great day everyone.

Thanks, Beachy! When I spoke with them about the grass thing, she just said things like "well, he's just used to doing that because he did it for the last neighbor" and "we just thought we'd do it because you just moved in". At one point, they mowed MY ENTIRE LAWN. I think I will put up a sign that says something about not coming onto the grass but in winter it's hard to put up any signs unless it's just in the snow. I don't want to be passive aggressive so I don't want to just put something up without addressing it with them first. With them ignoring my first request I don't have any high hopes that they'll do what I ask. I guess after that I'll just have to put something up that says "no dumping snow" or something like that. It's just frustrating

    P3/Week 1

    Hello Lovelies –

AFM – 168.8 (in P3, staying the same is a good thing!)

Will be a loooooong day. All T-Rexes in the house I need to figure out a way to get them rotating in and out of the office next year. Lots of meetings; then tonight I have to finish wrapping all office gifts and bring them tomorrow.

I love this time of year; I hate this time of year.

Ain't nobody got time for that.png

LinLou – SO sorry the Creeping Crud attacked! Today (a full 7 days later) I finally feel 100%. Be good to yourself and don’t worry about mean ol’ TESS – she is not going to give you a good number while you are sick and on cold meds anyway so why bother with it until you feel good again.

    SkinnyKitty! Congratulations on your success!

Okay, Pro, I'm confused. If there is snow in the driveways, then there is snow in the yard. And they are putting their snow on top of your snow and it's a problem because....? Your properties run side by side. You want them to only push snow off of their driveway in one direction so they don't get snow on your...snow? I'm lost! I know there must be a good reason this is upsetting, but so far, I'm not getting it! If they mowed your entire lawn, that's not trespassing, that's being a nice neighbor. If they want to edge their driveway, it would be pretty hard to mow the edge without leaving one swath along side it, so if that swath is on your lawn...uh the rest of your lawn does not match unless you mow the same day? Is that it? They make you look bad? I get that your boyfriend is mad about their snow being on YOUR snow (is it HIS snow?), and you want to make him happy ... okay, I'll shut up. As Rosanne Rosanna Dana would say: NEVERMIND! LOL

Kitty! Awesome round! YAY! Hey, P3 is a wonderful time. Learn lots! Eat Healthy! It's AFTER P3 that is the trickiest!

I am getting inch by inch closer to the top of my window, which I am keeping at within 2 pounds of my 'usual' LIW of 126.8. 128.6 today. EEEk. Sigh. I had perfectly good full fat/protein no nuthin' funny days the past few days. So, no idea! Just normal fLucktuation. Dang.

    Just trudging onward...

Pearly: I get both sides of the coin with them just trying to be a good neighbor but I'm a super private person and the part of my lawn they mow is RIGHT BY my bedroom window. So, basically, if he's out mowing he could also look in my bedroom window. I just want a little more privacy and prefer not to have people so close to the house. With the snow, I guess it's just a matter of when the snow melts, it could cause issues with the basement if it's piled up really high on that side. I guess it's just the principle and the fact that they dumped the majority of the snow into my yard vs. at least evenly distributing it. It's like they just dumped it in mine to avoid having it in their own yard. I just feel like they're not listening to what I've already asked them not to do and, part of being a good neighbor is listening to your neighbor when they ask you not to do something on their property *shrug*

I get it hcgpro. They are simply not respecting your boundaries and if you don't address it, they will continue with more egregious actions. I would not want anyone near my bedroom window, mostly because they would die from boredom and I would have to remove the body.

I'm p3 day four and within the 2lbs. I ate party food yesterday, dips and meats and cheeses and whiskey, yum. Went up a pound I would assume from the salt in all that stuff. And all the stuff.

I have a question for P3er's - do you still drink tons of water in p3? I'm trying to get at least 100 oz in but it's harder than when in P2. Just wondering.

And in other news today, I almost have my face back! Give me a couple days and I'll post a picture. What a ride this has been.

    Have a dreamy day lovelies!

The neighbors I have on one side have been shoveling the snow from their driveway into my yard. Their driveway is on the side of my house so my yard is right by their driveway. Normally I wouldn't mind but they literally put the majority of their snow on my yard. These same neighbors ALWAYS mow a strip of my grass that is by their driveway as well even though I asked them to stop. Should I say something to them about shoveling their snow into my yard now? I don't know how fruitful it would be since they continued to mow the grass in my yard after I asked them to stop but my BF is so irritated about the snow thing that if I don't say something he'll probably just be irritated all the time. I hate having a house sometimes vs. apartment lol

Also - if you think I should knock on their door to talk to them about it, how should I say it? I feel like I need to go over the whole mowing my grass thing too.
    UGH!

Awful neighbors are a definite downside of homeownership Pro. I think knocking on the door and having a calm (even if it's only on your side) conversation is the first step. Sometimes it's best to make sure that you are understood and give them an opportunity to explain their point of view. At the end of the day your property = your taxes = your preference and you deserve to be respected as the homeowner.

One of my neighbors is an amazing couple that I just adore; the other is an ******* who abuses his dog and our relationship has devolved to the point that I called the police last summer. I started with a direct conversation but just know that people aren't always receptive despite your best intentions.

    Good luck!
