    Beachy,

There are less expensive laser options than what I got... but I knew I woudn't be good at following a routine that required moving a laser comb around on my head, so I splurged on this item: iRestore Laser Hair Growth System It has a 6-month 100% money back guarantee, so I was all over it.

Before that, I started to take (a didn't stop) the following to deal with hair shedding:

    Rainbow Light Women's multi-vitamin
    Phytoceramides 350 mg with biotin
Nature's Way Borage Oil 1300 mg
    Vitamin D-3 5000 iu
    Solgar Gentle Iron 25 mg
    Vitamin E 400 iu
    Paradise Herbs Fo-Ti

Also, I put Great Lakes Collagen Hydrolysate in my coffee once per day. To me, the collagen seems to help with hair feeling fuller/thicker.

When I was in the process of moving last year I ran out of Iron and didn't reorder right away. I noticed my hair started shedding again. Once I started taking it, the shedding went back to normal. So iron is a key element for me, even though my blood iron test showed within the "normal" range (low side of "normal").

    Beachy - Cheese Crisps

SO! EASY! To make your own cheese crisps - and remember, ZERO CARBS (check nutrition info on whatever cheese you use).

Shred your favorite cheese - I use Asiago from Costco:

    Asiago Cheese.jpg

And sometimes I will throw in a little Kerrygold Dubliner (I also get at Costco) or a mixture of shaved parm and romano cheese (can't remember the name of it). Any shredded parm works fine, but too much of the other cheeses can cause them not to crisp because they contain too much oil.

Heat your oven to about 350

Line a large cookie sheet with Reynolds NON STICK foil. That is very important; if you use regular foil, your cheese will just stick like you used super glue under it. Even spraying it with non-stick cooking spray doesn't work very well. Splurge and get the non-stick foil.

Make small piles of shredded cheese on your foil - I can usually get 8 "piles" on my super big cookie sheet; 6 piles on a small one.

Cooking time varies on your oven and how big your cookie sheet is - you'll just have to watch it. Takes mine usually around 8 or 9 minutes, but be careful - these babies burn fast, and burned cheese is sad and bitter.

When they are golden but not brown, let them cool WELL. Like about 10 minutes and they should pop right off the foil easily & be crunchy.

If they are underdone, they will be chewy. If you overcooked them, well, there will be no doubt about that.

When making these, I usually have TWO cookie sheets going - one cooking, one cooling - because Jim will eat them almost as fast as I can make them.

They WILL be salty - the baking intensified the salt of the cheese - but if I'm putting guacamole on them, or dunking them in chili, that salt is a nice add. They ALWAYS cure my craving for regular chips. This is a snack I usually make ahead (along with microwave pepperoni "chips") and take to the movies or a get together where other people are eating snack foods. And BTW, if I take my cheese crisps, and people taste them, they always want to know how to make them. They are also good sprinkling a little garlic or onion powder on them. A little goes a long way.

PS: I've tried to use only cheddar cheeses, but they NEVER come out crispy for me - too much oil in them.

Pearly has a much more simple microwave method she can share when she has a moment. But I love my crisps done in the oven.

Ha! When I'm in P2, I stay in the zone, UNTIL I start looking at P3 recipes. So I usually go into P3 unprepared. Today was P3 day one and I already sampled parmesan...so that is not good jumping right into dairy. Otherwise, easing into eating more.

I just received an email (I am on a list) from Dr. Zach tha worries me, I hope we aren’t going to have a hard time getting HCG in the future. I guess his site that people go to for drops can’t accept credit cards anymore because of some government agency interference, or so he says. Here is an excerpt from the email:

Now, you may be wondering… why has this happened? Well, if you have a minute, I’ll explain. Honestly it is scary stuff. And it could mean the end of HCG.

I first heard the term “pseudo pharmaceutical” not from an FDA report or a medical journal, but from my bank. The email also said they’d no longer process credit card payments from my store.

This was a shock because I’d been with the same bank since I started in 2009. So I dug a little deeper. I discovered that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) was involved. This surprised me, because the FTC deals with business, not health.

The FTC and Big Pharma have a sort of alliance. Big Pharma makes billions so they can hire lobbyists that influence the FTC. They decide what you can or can’t buy.

This system has its problems. And some serious moral gray areas. For example, did you know that obesity brings in billions of dollars for these people?

There are a lot of health problems that come with being overweight. And for just about anything you come down with… there’s a pill for that. Or a surgery. It all of that costs a lot of money. And it all goes into these guys’ pockets.

Now… people have been using HCG to drop size since the 1950s. Millions are still using it today.

In the email he infers HCG may be hard to get in the future

What does everyone think about this?
Lulu - I got the same email.

He may be referring to disturbing articles like this one:

    https://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/Con.../ucm281333.htm

I just don't know, but since he is the doc that came up with the 2.0 Protocol that I do well with, I'm gonna presume that:

    1. He is well aware of governmental regulations that could happen to remove all hhcg from the market.
    2. I don't think he is trying to "push" his product, although the fact that he included links to buy it bothered me a lot. If he was trying to send out an alert of something that - in fact - is happening, I would think the email would have been fine without the "buy now" links.

I have seen emails from him for about a year, stating that strict regulation on hhcg is coming; or worst case, it would be removed completely. (But I suppose you'll still be able to get injectable version from a doc? He doesn't say). All I know is that the 2 things on the market that helped me lose weight in the past - Fen/Phen and Formula One supplements - were both removed from the market because they caused "bad side effects". Not for me (or anyone else that I have ever talked to) but I guess it could have been true for a small percentage of people. And some people who get hcg "drops" from manufacturers who don't put ANY hcg in them are starting to complain. A lot.

I just know that hhcg works for me and I try to keep a couple extra bottles at home - just in case.

Kar, Carol, Sunshine, Randi- THANK YOU so much for your replies and help with 3.0!!! Your responses were each so valuable to me in figuring this out. Carol I really liked what you said about keeping this simple, like OP meals but add fat. That was a real lightbulb moment for me. There've so many times on OP rounds that I've thought to myself that I am good at making great OP meals and that I could eat like that forever if ONLY I could just have some fats for cooking (and thinking)!

Sunshine your losses are amazing this time around, how exciting! I can't imagine being HCG cold in your weather though, yikes.

Jer- I have a "disease to please" thing from growing up criticized by well meaning family members. I go into a virtual paralysis when I think about owning my truth around things that others won't approve of. Sometimes they are harsh people and sometimes they're just normal people who are up for a debate/discussion/share. Having been silenced in the past it can feel life threatening to speak. I don't know if my situation is similar to yours or not, but I so know the feeling of fear that other people might find out and attack. I agree with everyone here...just say you are eating healthy "protein & veggies." Who can argue with that?!?!

I go through phases where I can't stand them and then I love them again. Strange!
I like the Rudolph's brand from WalMart. They say "Southern Recipe" on them and they're called Dippers. Not as salty as some of the other brands. They are supposed to be shaped for dipping... not so much. Maybe 50% are dip-worthy, but they are still yummy.

Jer - good for you for coming here for support. I agree with what everyone else said about dealing with folks who are less than supportive. I've not told anyone details other than one very close friend who was begging me to share my secret (she needs to lose about 40-50 pounds). She was receptive, but I don't think she'll do it due to all the negative press you can find so easily with a Google search. Anyway, she can see it is working and that I am much healthier, so no negative from her either.

I always try to plan my round around events so there will be no temptations and less opportunity for slip-ups. That said - it can be VERY difficult to find 4 - 6 weeks with nothing going on, I know. Do the best you can with whatever you decide to do.

Pearly - glad you're not starving today. Sounds like you moved in the right direction and hope your mood improves!

Christy - Great job on being down again. Also great info on the Spinach. I'm not a great fan, so don't think I could eat it every day, but macular degeneration runs on my mom's side of the family, so I am ever vigilant.

Everyone with the hair stuff going on. What a great amount of good information being shared here. Thanks! That said, hope I never need it

All of you on P2 - sending you good loss thoughts! I will be joining you very soon!

Autumn - if you post the nutrition and ingredient info, I'm sure someone can advise. I have never had those, and I don't do bars much anymore, only have Quest bars when I do (because they love me).

Thanks for your input, Christy. I am fairly new (a little over a year) to the HCG world, and do NOT want to have a problem getting it. I am definitely going to buy more pellets and freeze them. I, too, lost a lot of weight on Fen Phen years ago, and then it went off the market.
