Hey everyone! Almost to hump day...thankfully! I'm still about two pounds below LDW for round 1...not sure when I'm going to get back on P2...another couple of weeks or so for sure so I'm IN IT TO WIN IT. Traveling to Vegas end of March...but I don't want to wait until after to do P2...so I dunno.
Hope everyone has a good one.

This lovely weather is about to end :-(

Hope all on P2 had losses today. I didn't weigh today because I'm on UPI - unplanned interruption. I'll be back on P2 on Saturday.

Tuesday - your prep food looks great. 2.5 hours for a week's worth of food is very nice!

I'm going to have one last hurrah before I go back on P2. I'm eating Persian food on Thursday. The bad part of that is the basmati rice and the naan. The good thing is that the basmati has less starch than sticky rice has due to the preparation process - the rice is rinsed and soaked to get rid of much of the starch, which also renders it fluffy, but not sticky. (The other choice was szechuan, and that contains a lot of soy and questionable msg.) A friend wants to go out on Friday, but that is iffy because we are expecting a snowstorm Friday, and with so little snow to date, I hate to be out on the roads because stupid people forget how to drive in snow....they get amnesia quickly and don't get over it easily.

Another drama is that my dad has fallen twice in two weeks (he's 90.5). The first time, my mom called my brother to get my dad up off the floor. The second time, my sister and I watched it happen and we got him up off the floor. He's a stubborn SOB and wants to do it his way, the way he's always done things. Well he's not agile at all anymore. He shuffles rather than walks, he doesn't want to be mindful of getting out of chairs, balancing, and then taking a step so he tends to get his feet tangled and falls. He gets pissed off and argues when you tell him he needs to use his walker, do things one at a time, be mindful, etc. He's got all his wits about him, he's just cantankerous about getting old.

In the meantime, the stress on my mom as brought the shingles out. She got a mild case after the first fall, but they came back and in several places after the most recent fall. My dad, the drama queen, doesn't seem to get it in his head that he is causing her stress, and being argumentative is worse. At least my sis is here and we've got a lot of homeopathic and herbal remedies for her. They're working because she is better in a couple spots today, but new breakouts in a couple other spots. Not bad, since we caught them early. Thankfully, my best friend is an OT so I called her and asked her what to do. She suggested calling his doctor for physical therapy home visits. A third party can shake some sense into him - we hope. Anyway, still waiting for the call back and next step, but it's promising for the near run.

Getting old can suck a lot!

    Hi Ladies!

How do you all deal with cravings when it's gets close to that time of the month? I'm not "hungry" but I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle against pizza and a bottle of merlot lol ... I couldn't figure out why ... then I looked at my calendar Eureeka!

I had an extra veggies and protein but it didn't help ... it took every ounce of strength I had not to call papa Johns ....

    Hi Heather,
I am happy you get to travel, I love traveling and I have done it in Phase 3 without gaining over 2 lbs. I was eating out every meal just about. It is very good practice for making choices for entrees like grilled fish, grilled meat, chicken, beef, lamb, filling up on salads with vinegar, no dressing, no breads, sweets being my clementines, and eventually including almonds and raisins. You can do this! I ordered a small travel weight scale from amazon ($20) and used it every day. When I travelled without it, I easily gained 10 lbs not knowing how I was doing. Lots of walking helps of course. Good to plan ahead, always!

Hi again everyone! Welcome to all the newbies - both to HCG and/or to this forum Glad to see everyone seems to be doing really well!

I've been doing the P4/Paleo/Whatever-ish thing for a few months now. I've been better more recently and I think I may go strict Paleo soon. I got some Ezekiel bread this week and had some last night. I need to get some more Paleo recipes and see how that goes. It's weird how HCG changes your body and how it reacts to certain foods. After a round of HCG, the Ezekiel bread KILLS my stomach but I feel GREAT today after eating some last night. That's why I'm a little leery about doing another round for now. I may do one before summertime but I'm gonna give myself at least another month or so to see if I can do this on my own. I did order some spray stuff that's supposed to have green tea and other stuff in it. Supposed to be an appetite suppressant and help burn fat. We'll see if it works. I haven't gained a ton of weight but it's enough to make me a little uncomfortable in certain outfits. We'll see how it goes!
    LDW: 152.2 from last round

    New round
    Starting weight: 156.0
    Current weight: 146.8
    LDW: 147.0

I'm sorry you're struggling with the cravings! My approach is to chew a piece of gum and take it in 15 minute intervals until it passes...."Just hang on 15 minutes and it'll go away" and then if it's not, say it over again. I also try to find something to do to keep my mind busy. Hang in there! Every time you overcome a situation like that, you feel in control and that feels empowering and then it gets easier because you KNOW you can do it

hcgpro2 I have some REALLY good paleo recipes that are my favorites. I have found that Paleo is definitely the lifestyle that I feel the best on.

My kids could live on these:

My husband could live on these:
    http://www.theendlessmeal.com/sweet-...chicken-wings/

and I could live on these
    http://minimalistbaker.com/7-ingredi...n-cheesecakes/

Those cheesecakes are crazy good, btw....INSANE good, and don't taste like you're eating a poor substitution of the 'real deal' they are their own awesome dessert lol

AFM: No movement today (this is why you don't drink cheat boys and girls lolol).

    Hello Lovelies!

    Otter Hello.jpg

AFM – did not weigh today. Bathroom “action” has slowed down, as always happens to me in P2, and if I don’t “go” I don’t weigh - anytime, P2 or P3. I’m not gonna get myself upset because I’m still retaining 48 hours of food and TESS gives me a higher number than normal. Why go through all that?

Tanya – my daughter has the same problem with sugar. Big time sweet tooth. Sugar is definitely the heroin of foods.

    Sugar is Death.jpg

Katt – so very sorry to hear your Mom and Dad woes – Old Age definitely ain’t for sissies!

    Betty Davis Old Age.jpg

Doll – I still have overwhelming cravings and TOM no longer visits me. Pizza is my biggest craving problem for sure. When I am NOT in P2 I dice up pepperoni and add to my scrambled eggs; or I make baked cheese “crackers”, and top with guacamole & diced pepperoni – all pretty much P3 okay. That is the only way I can stay away from regular pizza (and I’m still too lazy to make the PALEO crust kind, which I understand is fairly good http://www.ditchthecarbs.com/2015/04/23/fat-head-pizza/).

In P2, I do what Tuesday recommended – I get busy with something, anything, but I also make sure I force myself to drink about 12 oz of water right away as well. Amazingly, getting that full helps me. If it is evening (which it usually is when I get hit with any kind of craving) I go to sleep early if I can.

Pro – hi, thanks for checking in! You do what you gotta do, honey. You know what we say here. What is right for YOU is RIGHT FOR YOU!

Bacon Day! I told our cook (for the retirement living home I run, not my personal cook! LOL) that she made my day saving me 3 pieces of bacon, then I contemplated whether my life is a bit quiet when bacon is the highlight of the day. Yikes.

I got here at 10 to 9 and a lady who was here to put snacks out for a 10 a.m. meeting was already here and of coure, it took her all of six minutes to put her stuff out, and she spent the next 30 chatting with me. I know her entire life story, all about her children, grandchildren and some about her mother. Someone else finally arrived. It always amazes me how people stress over putting out two plates of cookies and a bowl of fruit, like it is going to take them more than an hour to figure that out. Oh well: BACON!

Love hearing about a travel scale. That's a great idea! Cravings: good advice coming in.

Pro, always good to hear from you.

I have been bad about personals lately. I will try harder tomorrow!
Sorry! Just know I read everything, cheer you on and feel for you, sometimes both.

AFM, TESS is really getting my Irish up, and I'm pretty much 200% Norwegian. I had a great day yesterday, off loaded well, got to bed pretty much on time, slept great, measuered and while I was up an INCH yesterday at 128.2, today, I was back down to my lowest measurement today and .... TESS still said 128.2. WHOT??? >squinting with one eye and glaring with the other< She's nutcakes.

Will just keep on keeping on and oh yeah: BACON!

P - keep concentrating on the joys of bacon (I know I do) and never forget. TESS is NOT your friend. Ever. With just a tiny extra bit of sodium in your system, TESS will turn on you like a cobra.

However, to be fair, friendship is not TESS's job. Exactly like a cobra.

    Anyway, back to better things.

    Like Bacon.
